Type Chart Element and Spatial Counters
This type chart shows which elements are strong, weak, or neutral against Aniimo of other element types. See the Aniimo type chart, learn about element types and spatial relations, element weaknesses, resistances, and matchups in this guide.

Type Chart Explained

Damage Multipliers Explained

Aniimo Element Type Chart

View Full Image

The Elemental Type Chart maps attacker rows against defender columns to display damage output. Attacks hit for 1.6x (Super Effective), 1x (Neutral), or 0.625x (Resisted), with no zero-damage immunities. Same-element attacks trigger the 0.625x penalty, except for Dark-on-Dark which retains 1x damage. Targeting weaknesses yields a 2.6x damage gap, making nine-element coverage essential for fast boss clears.

The damage multiplier numbers above were manually tested in-game. However, these are approximate values based on the specific Aniimo samples tested and should not be taken as exact, definitive multipliers.

Darkness leads offensively by dealing 1.6x damage to Lightning, Grass, and Light, but suffers defensively against everything except Earth. For defense, Water, Earth, and Light each resist four separate elements at 0.625x, with Light carrying Darkness as its only weakness. To gain the ultimate advantage, dealing 1.6x damage while taking only 0.625x, use these hard counters: Ice against Water, Water against Fire, and Wind against Dark.

How to Maximize Aniimo Combat Damage

Target Enemy Weaknesses for Maximum Combat Efficiency

Combat in Aniimo relies heavily on elemental compatibility. Attacking an enemy with an advantageous element significantly boosts your damage output, allowing you to defeat targets faster and control the fight. Always check an opponent's type before engaging so you can deploy an Aniimo that hard-counters them.

All Aniimo List

Stack Elemental Vulnerability to Shred Enemy Resistance

Landing matching elemental attacks inflicts an Elemental Vulnerability debuff, which directly lowers the target's elemental resistance. This debuff stacks up to 20 times, with each stack compounding the resistance drop. Maintaining continuous elemental pressure keeps this debuff maxed out, causing your overall damage to scale dramatically during longer battles.

Conquer Rita’s Trial Through Type Matching

To clear Rita's Trial, you must continuously exploit enemy elemental weaknesses throughout every stage of the challenge. Success relies on maintaining type advantages, applying debuff stacks efficiently, and countering the specific elemental attributes of each enemy wave you encounter.

Take Advantage of Spatial Counters

Spatial Counters take elemental advantage a step further by incorporating positioning, range, and arena control into combat encounters. Exploiting spatial positioning allows you to suppress enemy counterattacks, extend the reach of area-of-effect elemental skills, and isolate high-threat targets before they can leverage their own type advantages against your team.
