Great Break Aniimo for Most Elements

Snowfield Rookey is a flexible Break aniimo that can support teams of various elements. Its Dark and Ice typing makes it better suited against Water and Lightning aniimo than regular Rookey, as it can resist their attacks.

Best Skills

Bouncy SlingBouncy Sling Guardbreak SlamGuardbreak Slam Heavy SlamHeavy Slam
(Ultimate)

Bouncy Sling and Guardbreak Slam are recommended for Snowfield Rookey. Bouncy Sling increases the enemy's Break damage taken, while Guardbreak Slam serves as its main Break skill and can be recast up to three times. Use Guardbreak Smash instead when fighting Water aniimo, as its Ice-type damage is more effective against Water than Guardbreak Slam. Heavy Slam deals massive Break damage, making it useful for quickly depleting an enemy's Break bar.

Best Personality
E S T P

Prioritize getting Energetic (E) to increase Snowfield Rookey's Break and Tenacious (T) to improve its Physical Defense. Its trait benefits from higher Physical Defense, making T a useful choice for strengthening its overall build.

Prioritize Break to improve Snowfield Rookey's ability to quickly break the enemy, followed by Physical Defense, which provides additional Break stat through its trait. Invest in Regen afterward to recover more EP while it is on the field and use its skills more consistently.

Effects
Core Effect: Equipped Aniimo gain 0.7 additional BREAK per level.
Tier 1 Effect: BREAK +2
Tier 2 Effect: BREAK +10%. If BREAK Acquired Potential exceeds 15 points, the effect is doubled.

Gargantuan Horn further improves Snowfield Rookey's Break performance. Increase Snowfield Rookey's Break potential above 15 to double the Held Item's Tier 2 effect and get more Break stat.

Should You Form a Contract with Your Held Item?

Bouncy Sling IconBouncy Sling
【BOOSTED】
Boosted Bouncy Sling releases an AoE shockwave around the target hit, releasing multiple waves if it ricochets on another enemy.

We do not recommend forming a contract with your held item to boost Bouncy Sling. While the effect can help against groups of enemies, it provides no additional value when fighting a single target.

How to Play Snowfield Rookey

Recommended Skill Rotation

  1. Use Bouncy Sling to close the distance and deal damage to the enemy. If it is available, use Heavy Slam to deal massive Break damage.
  2. Cast the first use of Guardbreak Slam. Perform a full basic attack combo before recasting it. Do this one more time and use Guardbreak Slam's final, stronger recast.
  3. Repeat this until the enemy is broken. Once they are, swap to your supports and apply all available buffs and debuffs.
  4. Swap to your DPS Aniimo and execute its skill rotation.
  5. Once the enemy's Break bar is full again, swap back to Rookey and repeat the rotation.

Initiate Using Bouncy Sling

Start your skill rotation with Bouncy Sling to increase the target's Break damage taken. This helps Snowfield Rookey's next attacks deal more Break damage, making it easier to quickly stun the enemy.

Bouncy Sling Can Ricochet Between Enemies

If there are other enemies in the vicinity when Bouncy Sling is used, Rookey will automatically ricochet to them. Take advantage of this especially when there are enemies is clumped together, which allows it to deal more break damage over a large number of enemies at once.

Recast Guardbreak Slam for More Break Damage

Guardbreak Slam can be recast twice after the original cast, with the third cast dealing more damage and stunning the enemies that it hits. This is a good skill to use if you have enough EP to spare. However, the stun from the third cast does not work on Alpha aniimo.

Use Guardbreak Smash Against Water Aniimo

Snowfield Rookey's Guardbreak Smash is an Ice-type version of Guardbreak Slam. Since Water aniimo are weak to Ice but resist Dark, use Guardbreak Smash instead when fighting Water opponents for better Break performance.

Cast Heavy Slam to Deal Massive Break Damage

Heavy Slam deals massive Break damage, making it useful for quickly depleting an enemy's Break bar. Use it when you need a strong burst of Break damage, then build up the ultimate gauge again through your other skills to prepare for the next rotation.

Use Against Water Aniimo

Snowfield Rookey has both Dark and Ice typing, which gives it better defensive matchups against Water and Lightning aniimo than regular Rookey.

Its other advantage is its access to Guardbreak Smash, which lets it deal Ice Break damage against Water aniimo rather than relying on Guardbreak Slam that Water types resist. Outside of this matchup, both forms can fulfill a similar role as the general Break aniimo for most teams.

Defeat a Wild Aniimo With the Ballistic Guard Skill

To accomplish the “Defeat the Opponent by dealing damage with Counter in defense mode” objective, you only need to land the finishing blow with Mountain Woods Helmut’s Ballistic Guard skill. The easiest way to accomplish it is to fight an aggressive wild Aniimo, such as Thornblade, using an Aniimo with a type advantage. First, bring its HP down to a critical level, then switch to Mountain Woods Helmut and let Ballistic Guard’s shockwave effect deliver the final hit.
