Unlocked During A Fragrant Journey: Rosetower Woods

Flowers and Thorns Rosetower Wood Map

During A Fragrant Journey: Rosetower Woods quest, you will need to go to the Whiterose Tower and talk to Awen.

The entrance to the tower is blocked by thorns which can only be removed after finishing this quest that will automatically unlock after talking to Awen at the front of the tower.

Investigate the Maze of Thorns

Go to the Maze of Thorns
Flowers and Thorns Rosetower Wood MapYou will unlock the Flowers and Thorns - Rosetower Wood quest after talking to Awen at the front of Whiterose Tower during A Fragrant Journey: Rosetower Woods.

You will need to go to the Maze of Thorns at the southeast of the tower.

Destroy the Cracked Wall
Cracked WallFrom the entrance of Maze of Thorns, go straight then go left then to the right until you see a cracked wall that you need to destroy.

Climb the Wall and Go Inside the Hole
Climb the Wall and Go Inside the HoleAfter destroying the cracked wall, climb the wall in front of you. Be careful of the thorns surrounding the walls, as they can hurt you when you touch them. Once you're at the top of the wall, go inside the hole to the right

Meet the Sharp Thornblade
Sharp ThornbladeInside the hole will be a purple cube puzzle room that lets you access the chest when you successfully solve it. There's also a cracked wall again that you need to destroy to get outside.

There will be a Sharp Thornblade standing on the path to the left. Twine with Budsquire and approach the Thornblade who will reveal itself as the First Lethal Thorn.

Fight the First Lethal Thorn
Battle the First Lethal ThornTalk to the First Lethal Thorn, and when it asks you to leave, tell it you want to go in and take a look. The First Lethal Thorn will not like it and challenge you to a battle. We recommend using Fire-type Aniimo, as First Lethal Thorn is a Grass Aniimo.

Talk to Melloblum
Talk to MelloblumAfter the fight, a gentle voice belonging to Melloblum will tell the First Lethal Thorn to let you in.

Talk to the Melloblum and clear the misunderstanding between you two. It regrets that its not able to perform Dance of Blissful Bloom to welcome you, as her dance disappeared.

Talk to Patrolling Thornblade

Investigate Why Melloblum Can't Dance
After talking to Melloblum, you will need to investigate why it cannot dance anymore. You will need to go to three marked locations on the map.

However, you can finish this quest quickly by only going to one of the markers, and then reporting back to Melloblum about your findings.

Talk to Patrolling Thornblade and Crying Budsquire
Patrolling ThornbladeFrom where Melloblum is standing, go straight and then go left to see the first objective marker. You will meet the Patrolling Thornblade and Crying Budsquire. Talk to them and you will obtain the Maze of Thorns Tale 3.

Find the Bedraggled Budsquire

Go through the Archway
ArchwayFrom where the Patrolling Thornblade and Crying Budsquire is, go left and then go right. You will see a big archway that you need to enter.

Climb to the Top of the Wall
Climb the WallUpon entering the archway, go to the left and go to the wall beside the flat archway. Climb the wall while avoiding the thorns until you reach the top.

Walk on Top of the Wall Towards the Roof on the Other Side
Top of the WallWalk on top of the wall and use Fly with your flying Aniimo to reach the roof where your next objective is.

Talk to Bedraggled Budsquire and Thinking Budsquire
Bedraggled BudsquireTalk to Bedraggled Budsquire and Thinking Budsquire. After the conversation, you will get the Maze of Thorns Tale 2.

Talk to Elderly Thornblade

Climb the Wall Again Beside the Flat Archway
Climb the Wall Go back to the flat archway that you climbed to get to the Bedraggled Budsquire and Thinking Budsquire and climb up the wall beside it again.

Fly Towards Your Objective
Fly towards ObjectiveFrom the top of the wall, look left to see the nearest marker and Fly towards it. Drop down to where the marker is.

Talk to Elderly Thornblade
Elderly ThornbladeTalk to the Elderly Thornblade, who is with Thinking Budquire and Listening Budsquire. You will get the Maze of Thorns Tale 4 after talking to them.

Report Back to Melloblum

Go Back to Melloblum
MelloblumReport back to Melloblum, who is still at the same spot as before. If you don't want to find your way around the maze, you can use Fly with your flying Aniimo to get there faster.

Report the Information to Melloblum
Dance of Blissful Bloom Finally, divulge what you've learned from talking with Thornblades and Budsquires to Melloblum.

Finally learning of what the others think, Melloblum will find its new resolve and perform the Dance of Blissful Bloom which will remove the thorns at the entrance to the Whiterose Tower.

Continue A Fragrant Journey: Rosetower Woods
Finish the scene to end the quest. You can finally continue A Fragrant Journey: Rosetower Woods, as well as start a new quest named Flowers and Thorns - Rosetower Wood - Sightseeing.
