Pomawk Location

Found in Rosetower Woods South of the Alpha Grizbo

You can find a lone Pomawk performing on a makeshift stage to the south of the Alpha Grizbo's cave in Rosetower Woods. However, if you want it to keep respawning, you'll have to go through a few more steps:

1
Speak to the Worried Pomegg
After catching the Pomawk or knocking it out, twine with a Pomegg and speak to the Worried Pomegg nearby.
2
Rescue the Trapped Pomawk
Next, head over to the Alpha Grizbo's cave to the north and look for the Pomawk near the back of the cave.
3
Return to See the Pomegg Party
Speak to the Pomawk and get it to return with you. Once at the stage area, speak to it, then wait until the next night. Once you load in, you should see a Pomegg Party on the same stage you encountered your first Pomawk.

If you need more Pomawks, simply return to this area during a new night cycle to respawn the Pomegg Party and its lone Pomawk performer.

Alternatively, you can also evolve a Pomegg directly into a Pomawk without having to go to Rosetower Woods.

Chance to Spawn in Rosetower Woods Wild Surges

Pomawk can appear during Wild Surges in Rosetower Woods. Nurture the Bloom to trigger a Wild Surge and have a chance of encountering Pomawk. Make sure to nurture it using Grass Shards to spawn Pomegg instead of Cubbo.

How to Activate Wild Surges

Pomawk Best Team

Best in Grass Teams

Pomawk is generally best in Grass teams. It provides heavy Break damage while maintaining the team's strict elemental lineup. However, Pomawk’s skills demand precise timing and consume more active time, which can be a drawback in certain team compositions. This makes it less efficient in fast‑paced setups where quick rotations and streamlined execution are ideal.

Can Be a Substitute in Teams Weak Against Earth or Water

Alternatively, Pomawk can be a strong addition to teams that struggle against Earth or Water opponents. As a Grass aniimo, and with skills that aren’t locked to a single element, it can seamlessly fit into elemental teams in need of a Break aniimo effective against Earth and Water. In these matchups, Pomawk’s attacks become highly effective, compensating for the team’s usual damage loss due to elemental disadvantage.

Pomawk Best Build

Best Skills

Wild ShowWild Show Rhythm ComboRhythm Combo Sonic BoomSonic Boom
(Ultimate)

Pomawk’s best skills are Wild Show and Rhythm Combo. Both deliver heavy Break damage, with Wild Show dealing additional damage when timed correctly. Used together, these skills allow Pomawk to reliably stagger targets and maximize its Break potential.

Best Personality
E S T J

E is the ideal personality for Pomawk. The increased BREAK and ATK makes it more effective in its role.

Pomawk's best stats are Break and Regen. Break further amplifies its Break damage, while Regen provides a steady flow of EP.

Best Held Item

Rarity Legendary
Effects
Core Effect: Equipped Aniimo gain 0.7 additional BREAK per level.
Tier 1 Effect: BREAK +2
Tier 2 Effect: BREAK +10%. If BREAK Acquired Potential exceeds 15 points, the effect is doubled.

Pomawk’s best Held Item is the Gargantuan Horn. It maximizes Pomawk’s Break damage, allowing it to minimize skill usage when breaking targets and maintain efficiency during battles.

Should You Form a Contract with Your Held Item?

Wild Show IconWild Show
【BOOSTED】
Wild Show deals more Might damage and also stuns targets for 0.5s.

We recommend forming a contract with the Held item. While the 0.5-second stun is underwhelming, the increased Might damage compensates for it.

How to Play Pomawk

Recommended Skill Rotation

  1. Use Leafy's Lotus Bloom to increase the team's Grass elemental damage.
  2. Switch now to Pomawk, then use Rhythm Combo and Wild Show with correct timing. If needed, use Sonic Boom also.
  3. Switch now to the DPS and execute its combo.
  4. If the team is out of EP, switch to a Regen aniimo and use its skills to replenish the team's EP.

Hit Targets With Skills to Build Volume Stacks and Maximize Trait

Although the trait's description states that it grants 1 Volume stack for each skill cast, Pomawk gains a stack only when the skill actually hits a target. This emphasizes the need to hit targets to build Volume stacks.

In addition, while the buff is active, it's best to keep using skills, since they now have a greater chance to land a critical hit.

Crit Rate Buff Does Not Carry Over to Other Aniimo

It's important to note that the increased Crit Rate only applies to Pomawk and does not carry over to other aniimo when switching.

Always Time Wild Show and Rhythm Combo Correctly

Rhythm Combo
Wild Show

Pomawk’s Wild Show and Rhythm Combo require proper timing to maximize efficiency. Players must pay close attention to the on‑screen timing indicators to execute them correctly. While the mechanic may seem demanding, each skill offers a generous threshold for success.

For Rhythm Combo, wait until the outer circle aligns with the skill’s icon to continue the combo and gain an additional Volume stack. For Wild Show, hold the skill button and release it when the gauge hand points to the gold section for optimal damage.

Initiate With Sonic Boom

The skill Sonic Boom delivers tremendous Break damage, especially against Aniimo with a defensive disadvantage to Grass, while instantly granting Pomawk 6 Volume stacks. Because of this, Sonic Boom is best used as an initiator rather than a follow‑up, primarily due to the immediate stacks it provides. This enables Pomawk to trigger its Tuning trait right away and capitalize on the increased Crit Rate buff.

Use to Plant, Gather, and Create in Your Homeland

If Pomawk is not part of your party, it can plant seeds, gather resources, and create handcrafted goods in your Homeland.
