Tideblossom Coast

The Mudflat Shrubclaw is located in two spots in the Tideblossom Coast region.

Mudflat Shrubclaw Best Team

Good Break Aniimo for Earth Teams

As an Earth aniimo, Mudflat Shrubclaw fits naturally into Earth teams. It deals solid Break damage through Charged Blow and Quake Impact, with its Break Efficiency increasing by 30% after building 6 Momentum stacks through its Stealth Trait. Its Tunnel mobility skill also lets it burrow underground to avoid attacks while gaining double momentum stacks with The Luminus Gust.

However, Mudflat Shrubclaw's setup takes time and consumes a substantial amount of EP, which can make it less suitable for fast-paced teams that rely heavily on frequent skill usage.

Get Energetic (E) to increase Mudflat Shrubclaw's Break damage, helping it break enemies more efficiently.

Prioritize Break to increase Mudflat Shrubclaw's Break damage and stagger enemies faster. Regen is also useful because it improves passive EP recovery, helping offset the high EP costs of its skills.

Gargantuan Horn is recommended for Mudflat Shrubclaw to increase its Break stat, making it more effective at depleting enemy Break gauges.

Should You Form a Contract with Your Held Item?

Charging time is significantly reduced and now applies a 1-second stun to the target.

We recommend forming a contract with its held item. While the 1-second stun may be insignificant, the reduced charging time makes its setup more efficient.

How to Play Mudflat Shrubclaw

Recommended Skill Rotation

  1. If your team has Support aniimo, use their buffs or debuffs first.
  2. Switch to Mudflat Shrubclaw and use The LuminousGust then Charged Blow to Break the target.
  3. Switch to your DPS aniimo and execute its damage combo while the enemy is broken.
  4. If your team includes a Regenaniimo, use its EP recovery skills when needed.

Utilize Stealth's Effect

Mudflat Shrubclaw already deals good Break damage with its skills, but its Stealth Trait makes it even more effective. By building up to 6 Momentum stacks, Shrubclaw increases its Break Efficiency by 30%, which allows it to Break enemies more quickly.

Consistently hit enemies with skills to build Momentum. The Luminous Gust is particularly useful for this, as each hit grants 1 Momentum stack.

Double Momentum Gain While Tunneling

Mudflat Shrubclaw can double Stealth's Momentum gain by hitting enemies with The Luminous Gust while Tunneling. This lets it build Momentum stacks faster and reach the maximum of 6 stacks sooner. Take advantage of this to activate Stealth more quickly and gain its 30% Break Efficiency increase with less setup time.

Move While Using Charged Blow for Better Accuracy

Aside from Quake Impact, Charged Blow is Mudflat Shrubclaw's primary Break skill. It deals solid Break damage when fully charged, but landing both strikes requires proper positioning and timing.

Move while charging to adjust your position and face the target before releasing the skill. This helps both strikes connect, maximizing its Break damage. Charged Blow's damage also scales with its charge time, reaching 120 Might when fully charged.

Use Quake Impact for a Quick Burst of Break Damage

Quake Impact deals tremendous Break damage and can remove more than half of an enemy's Break gauge in a single strike. Use it when you want to Break a target quickly without spending as much time setting up with other skills.

Take Advantage of Earth Typing Against Fire Aniimo

Unlike basic Shrubclaw, which has both Grass and Earth typing, Mudflat Shrubclaw is exclusively Earth-type. This makes it slightly less suited to Grass teams, as it cannot take advantage of Grass STAB.

However, its pure Earth typing gives it an advantage against Fire aniimo. Mudflat Shrubclaw resists Fire attacks, while regular Shrubclaw's Grass and Earth typing does not provide the same defensive advantage against Fire. Consider using Mudflat Shrubclaw when you need an Earth-type Break aniimo against Fire opponents.

Use to Gather, Reclaim, Mine, and Haul Resources in Your Homeland

If Mudflat Shrubclaw is not part of your team, it can mine and gather resources, reclaim land, and haul produce to the Home storage in your Homeland.
