Can be Evolved from Budclaw

To get Geoclaw, you'll have to evolve it starting from its Lumin stage form - Budclaw.

Can Be Caught Underground of Northwestern Nimbus Fields

Geoclaw can be caught in the underground area of Nimbus Fields after defeating Alpha Geoclaw. You can use an Aniipod Ultra after defeating the Alpha to guarantee the catch, but evolving Budclaw instead is easier and helps in saving your Aniipod Ultras.

Great Ice Debuffer and Break Unit

Geoclaw is a strong Break aniimo that specializes in applying Ice Debuff and chipping away the enemy's Break Gauge. Its Trait, Frostbite Sunder, causes Basic Attacks to apply Ice Debuff while dealing 35% extra BREAK against enemies with more than 5 stacks of Ice Debuff. Icy Gravel Dance further increases Ice Debuff stacks, making Geoclaw a valuable Break Unit for Ice Teams.

Geoclaw pairs well with Glynsera, as Glynsera's Ice Strikes can quickly apply 5 stacks of Ice Debuff to activate Frostbite Sunder. Geoclaw can then build up additional stacks with its skills, giving Glynsera enough Ice Debuff stacks to consume with Frost Tail Strike for increased damage.

Overall, Geoclaw is a strong Break Unit for Ice Teams that provides both consistent Ice Debuff application and Break support.

As a Break aniimo, Geoclaw's best stats are Break and Regen. Attack can also be useful to upgrade since Geoclaw can also deal decent damage from its skills.

If you want to further strengthen your Ice Team, we recommend forming a contract to unlock the skill's improved Ice Debuff buildup. However, consider the DPS aniimo's boosted effects first, as Geoclaw's boosted Icy Gravel Dance is more of a utility upgrade and may be less of a priority depending on their effects.

How to Play Geoclaw

Recommended Skill Rotation **

  1. Apply 5 Ice Debuff stacks first to Activate Trait. You can utilize Glynsera's Ice Strikes to instantly apply 5 stacks of the debuff.
  2. Swap to Geoclaw and use Icy Gravel Dance then Frost Slam, followed by Basic Attacks.

Apply As Much Ice Debuff As Possible

Elemental Debuff Effect
Ice Debuff reduces the enemy's Ice Resistance, increasing the damage dealt by Ice type attacks. Apply as many Ice Debuff stacks as possible with Icy Gravel Dance to maximize the damage of your Ice DPS.

Perform Basic Attacks for More Debuffs

Geoclaw's Trait not only increases its Break, but also causes its Basic Attacks to apply Ice Debuff. Taking advantage of this effects lets Geoclaw apply additional Ice Debuff stacks while continuing to deal significant break damage.

Use for Cooling and Carrying Items in the Homeland

If Geoclaw is not in your active team, it can be assigned to help cool the Homeland and transport items to Home storage.
