Grizbo's best team consists of Bailite, Shrubclaw, and Somniwing. Bailite's Potent Erosion trait can reduce a target's Earth Resistance by up to 20% while Shrubclaw's The Luminus Gust applies Earth Debuff, amplifying Grizbo's damage output. Cozite Nest Sentry and Cannon Mode adds more damage to the team. Somniwing provides sufficient EP recovery for the team.

Alternative Aniimo Options

Gracewing IconGracewing
Gracewing can be a substitute for Somniwing. While it provides significantly less EP recovery compared to Somniwing, it offers effective healing for the team.

Should You Form a Contract with Your Held Item?

Critical Hit IconCritical Hit
【BOOSTED】
Retains half of the Claw Mark stacks after dealing the additional damage.

We recommend forming a contract with the Held item. Retaining half of the Claw Mark stacks after using Critical Hit makes succeeding skill rotations faster and consume less EP.

How to Play Grizbo

Recommended Skill Rotation

  1. Start by using Bailite's Cozite Nest Sentry to summon a Cozite, then use its Devastation Cannon to build up the Earth Resistance debuff.
  2. If you have a Shrubclaw on the team, use The Luminus Gust to apply Earth Debuff.
  3. Switch to Grizbo then use Rock Smash to get Enraged and Fanatic Clawing to build up Claw Mark stacks.
  4. Once at 6 Claw Mark stacks, use Critical Hit to consume them and deal extra daamge.
  5. From there, switch to an Aniimo that can provide healing and/or EP recovery.

Play Around Raging Rampage's Enrage State

Grizbo's strength lies in its Raging Rampage trait. It needs to build Rage by attacking, using skills, and taking damage to get Enraged. While Enraged, Grizbo's skills deal more damage, and its EP recovery rate increases.

Additionally, its Fanatic Clawing skill applies Claw Marks on the target if Grizbo is Enraged. These Claw Marks can then be consumed by Earthquake and Critical Hit to deal more damage.

Raging Rampage Trait Effects

Use Rock Smash to Become Enraged Immediately

Instead of trying to build Rage through attacks, skill usage, and taking damage, you can just use Rock Smash to get Enraged, allowing Grizbo to skip the setup and gain the Enraged effects immediately.

Rock Smash Stats and Effect

Break Objects and Walls Using Head Hammer

Grizbo's moblity skill, Head Hammer, can break objects like pots and breakable walls that hide certain areas. It's useful while exploring regions.

Thank you for pointing this out. We've updated the build and recommended Fanatic Clawing instead of Claw of Madness. We initially recommended Claw of Madness since its total Claw Mark stacks was 12 in the Closed Beta version, and we did not know about STAB yet. But in the official launch version, it was nerfed down to 6 stacks in total.

Can someone explain why use Claws of Madness over Fanatic Clawing? If you’re increasing Earth Damage, why wouldn’t you want to use Earth over Dark? They also both say they add up to 6 stacks of Claw Mark, but it says 12 here? Is the game description wrong?
