Can Only be Evolved from Snowfield Helmut

Snowfield Pawney cannot be caught in the wilds of Idyll. Instead, you'll have to evolve it starting from its Lumin stage form - Snowfield Helmut.

Skills to Equip:

Snowfield Pawney will serve as the team's main DPS, dealing damage by spamming its cheap but powerful skills. Rookey will be the Break Aniimo, capable of easily depleting the enemy's Break bar. Fragrancier and Hexxin will be the team's Support and Regen, respectively, with Fragrancier applying buffs and debuffs, while Hexxin will help keep the team's EP topped up.

Alternative Aniimo Options

Somniwing IconSomniwing
Somniwing can serve as an alternative Regen Aniimo for the team, providing general EP recovery.
Prismana Turbo IconPrismana Turbo
Prismana Turbo can provide universal damage, dark damage, and break buffs to the party. It can also shield the party to increase their survivability if you want. Swap out Rookey for Prismana Turbo if you do not need a break aniimo in your team.
Dreaple IconDreaple
Dreaple can reduce the dark resistance of enemies as well as inflict Sleep. Swap out Fragrancier for Dreaple if you want to focus on Snowfield Pawney using skills instead of basic attacks.

Best Skills

Shadow CutShadow Cut Weakening SlamWeakening Slam Ironclad ArmamentIronclad Armament
(Ultimate)

Shadow Cut is Pawney's strongest skill, allowing it to continuously deal damage while spinning. This skill has a short cooldown and can be spammed effectively. Weakening Slam is Snowfield Pawney's other skill, and, like Shadow Cut, can be spammed. Additionally, casting Weakening Slam three times in a row will stun weaker enemies, leaving them vulnerable to attack. If the enemy is weak to Ice, you can use Weakening Smash instead.

Best Personality
E N F P

E and N are the best offensive bonuses to get for Snowfield Pawney, as this increases its damage output, especially its basic attacks. For the defensive bonuses, getting F and P gives a good balance of defences.

Prioritize Attack and Break so that Snowfield Snowfield Pawney can deal big damage while reducing the break gauge of the enemy quickly to obtain the bonus damage from its trait.

Best Held Item

Effects
Core Effect: Increases damage dealt by 5% when using the same skill consecutively. Stacks up to 5 times.
Tier 1 Effect: Grants an additional 15% DMG boost after using the same skill 3 times consecutively.

Echoing Grimoire synergizes well with Pawney's ability to quickly spam attacks, providing it with a sizable increase in damage after using the same skill 3 to 5 times.

Should You Form a Contract with Your Held Item?

Shadow Cut IconShadow Cut
【BOOSTED】
Shadow Cut now has increased interrupt resistance, and Snowfield Pawney can move while using it.

We don't recommend forming a contract since the boosted effect does not increase the skill's damage output. Additionally, as Shadow Cut is best used against stationary targets, the movement aspect of the upgrade is not needed.

How to Play Snowfield Pawney

Recommended Skill Rotation

  1. Activate buffs from your support Aniimo. If you are running Fragrancier and Hexxin, use Secret Fragrance Mark, Black Hole Domain, and Euphoric Sonic Blast.
  2. Swap to Rookey, then use either Bouncy Sling or Guardbreak Slam. Alternate between using Rookey's skills and basic attacks to break the enemy.
  3. Once the enemy is broken, swap to Fragrancier and recast Secret Fragrance Mark. You can also swap to Hexxin after to cast Black Hole Domain and Euphoric Sonic Blast in that order. This should ideally activate Hexxin's Prank Trait, applying Curse on the enemy.
  4. Swap to Snowfield Pawney and, if available, cast Ironclad Armament. Afterward, use Weakening Slam to deal damage. Weave in Basic Attacks between each recast to recover some EP. If the enemy is stationary, use Shadow Cut.
  5. When either Ironclad Armament or the break timer is about to run out, recast it to perform a Dragon Slayer Strike and deal massive damage to enemies.
  6. Switch to your Regen Aniimo to recover EP, then repeat the rotation.

Weave Basic Attacks and Weakening Slam

Weakening Slam can be recast up to two times, allowing you to use it a maximum of three times. Since the recast timing is very lenient, try to weave in basic attacks in between each cast of Weakening Slam to maximize your damage output and recover some EP in between each cast.

It is important to note that although the third cast of Weakening Slam can stun enemies, this does not work on Alpha Aniimos. It can, however, be used in PvP scenarios and when fighting Pathfinders.

Use Shadow Cut on Stationary Enemies

Shadow Cut is a strong attack, capable of dealing large amounts of damage over a period of time. It is best used against stationary enemies, as you are locked in the animation for the duration of the skill. While you can contract with your held item to allow you to move while using Shadow Cut, it is not a priority.

Only Use Ironclad Armament if Enemy is Broken

Ironclad Armament increases the damage that Snowfield Pawney deals to Broken targets. As such, make sure to only use Ironclad Armament when the enemy is broken. Otherwise, the damage bonus you get from the Ultimate will go to waste.

Recast Ironclad Armament to Deal Massive Damage

Ironclad Armament can be recast to unleash Dragon Slayer Strike, which deals heavy damage to enemies in front of Snowfield Pawney. Make sure to use Dragon Slayer Strike while the enemy is in the Broken state to maximize the damage it deals.

Ice Element Adds More Resistances and an Ice Skill

Snowfield Pawney gains the Ice element on top of its innate Dark element. Compared to the base form Pawney, it now has a 0.65x multiplier when taking damage from Water, Lightning, and Ice attacks. In exchange, Snowfield Pawney takes 1.6x more damage from Fire, Wind, and Light attacks.

Additionally, it unlocks the Weakening Smash skill. Compared to Weakening Slam, it is the same skill with the exact skill description and effects. However, instead of dealing dark damage, it deals ice damage. Thanks to the STAB mechanic, Weakening Smash deals 10% more damage to enemies weak to Ice when Snowfield Pawney uses the skill.

The Sword of Bravery is encapsulated inside a stone located at the center of the arena in the eastern part of Russet Island. To pull out the Sword of Bravery, you must progress the Journey quest: The Legends of Helmuts and Helgons until you arrive at the arena.

While this questline requires you to Twine with a Helmut, the stone can technically be broken using other Aniimo as well.
