World View
Map Location

Melloblum can be found at the southeast end of the Budsquire Maze in Rosetower Wood. However, in order to catch her, you'll first have to complete her related side quest, Flowers and Thorns - Rosetower Wood.

Once you complete the side quest, Melloblum will always respawn in the chamber where you first met her, allowing you to catch and respawn her multiple times if needed.

Twine with a Towerwood Budsquire to Start Melloblum's Side Quest

To start Flowers and Thorns - Rosetower Wood, catch and twine with a Towerwood Budsquire then seek out the First Lethal Thorn NPC guarding the way to Melloblum. Challenge it to a duel then defeat it to gain an audience with the princess.

Melloblum Best Team

Best Paired With Attack-Damage Grass Crit DPS

Melloblum is best paired with Grass DPS Aniimos that rely heavily on basic attacks, such as Thornblade. Its Rose Garden skill provides a substantial boost to Grass critical damage, while its Phantom Opening trait creates unique synergy with basic attack chains.

In addition, Thorny Blessing rewards critical hits with bonus effects, and Healing Rose restores HP, making Melloblum both a powerful damage amplifier and a reliable source of sustain.

On top of these, Melloblum’s short setup time allows the team’s main aniimo to spend more active time on the field, maximizing overall efficiency.

(Ultimate)

Melloblum’s best skills are Thorny Blessing and Healing Rose. Thorny Blessing amplifies critical hits with additional damage, while Healing Rose restores HP when critical hits land. Together, these skills make Grass crit Aniimos far more efficient, turning every critical strike into both a powerful offensive and supportive tool.

Melloblum only really needs I for the Regen and J for HP since it's mainly a support.

Melloblum's best stats are HP and Regen. As a support aniimo, it doesn’t require much active time, so prioritizing Regen maximizes EP recovery, while investing a bit in HP provides added survivability.

Melloblum's best Held Item is Spirited Feather. It provides a decent amount of EP recovery for the team when Melloblum is active.

How to Play Melloblum

Recommended Skill Rotation

  1. Use Rose Garden and Thorny Blessing to amplify and enhance critical hits.
  2. If there are other supporters in the team, use their skills.
  3. Switch now to the DPS aniimo and execute its combo.

Always Add a Grass Crit DPS to the Team

Grass Crit Aniimo

Because Melloblum’s kit revolves around Grass critical hits, it only truly shines when paired with Grass aniimo capable of landing crits, such as Thornblade. If the team lacks aniimo that meet this condition, it’s better to rely on other supports like Somniwing or Gracewing, who provide more consistent utility regardless of team composition.

All Grass Aniimo

Always Open With Rose Garden and Thorny Blessing

Rose Garden and Thorny Blessing are best used as openers before switching to a DPS aniimo, ensuring their effects are active. Rose Garden grants a substantial boost to Grass critical damage, while Thorny Blessing causes critical hits to generate thorns beneath targets, dealing additional damage. Together, these effects greatly increase the team’s damage output, making it crucial to activate them before swapping to your main DPS.

Only Use Healing Rose for Crit DPS Teammates

Only use Healing Rose if the team’s main DPS can reliably land critical hits, since its healing effect only triggers after the target takes three crits. Avoid using it as a general healing skill, as its conditional nature makes it inefficient and wastes the team’s EP.
