How to Play Snowfield Pomawk

Recommended Skill Rotation

  1. Use Leafy's Vitatlity Blooms for additional EP Recovery. If available, also activate Lotus Bloom to increase the team's Grass elemental damage.
  2. Switch to Snowfield Pomawk, then use Rhythm Combo and Wild Show, following their timing indicators. Cast Sonic Boom if needed to deal more Break damage.
  3. Switch to your Main DPS and execute its damage combo while the team's buffs are active.
  4. If the team is out of EP, switch to a Regen aniimo and use its skills to replenish the team's EP. You can also use Leafy's Vitality Blooms once more when the skill's cooldown has ended for increased EP recovery.

Build Up Volume Stacks to Maximize Trait

Although Snowfield Pomawk's Trait description states that each skill cast grants a Volume stack, the skill must actually hit a target for Snowfield Pomawk to gain a stack. Aim your skills carefully to build Volume stacks and make the most of its Trait.

While the increased Crit Rate buff is active, continue using skills to take advantage of their higher chance to land critical hits.

Crit Rate Buff Only Applies to Snowfield Pomawk

The increased Crit Rate does not carry over to other aniimo when switching. Keep Snowfield Pomawk active when you want to take advantage of this buff.

Both Snowfield Pomawk's Rhythm Combo and Wild Show rely on timing to maximize their effectiveness. Watch the on-screen indicators carefully, as both skills allow some room for error.

For Rhythm Combo, continue the sequence when the outer circle aligns with the skill icon to gain an additional Volume stack. For Wild Show, hold the skill button and release it when the gauge hand points to the gold section to deal optimal damage.

Start Rotations With Sonic Boom When It's Ready

Sonic Boom deals substantial Break damage, particularly against enemies with a defensive disadvantage to Grass, and immediately grants Snowfield Pomawk 6 Volume stacks. Use it early to build stacks quickly and activate Snowfield Pomawk's Tuning Trait to benefit from its increased Crit Rate.

Choose Snowfield Pomawk for Water Matchups

Snowfield Pomawk’s Ice and Grass typing makes it more effective against Water aniimo than regular Pomawk. It heavily resists Water attacks and deals super-effective Grass damage, while also applying solid Break damage to Water aniimo.

Use Frost Strike for PvP and Pathfinder Challenges

Snowfield Pomawk has access to Frost Strike, a skill that can freeze enemies, making it useful in PvP and Pathfinder challenges. Freezing opponents can interrupt their actions and create opportunities to follow up with attacks, giving Snowfield Pomawk more utility outside of dealing Break damage.
