Nightwolf's team is primarily composed of Fire wolf Aniimo, with the exception of Inferlupa, which is a Fire/Dark dual-element type. Bring a team mostly composed of Water to counter their elemental weakness, along with some Light Aniimo for the battle against Inferlupa.
Flameruff's main damaging skill is Fire Kick, where it will pull itself back in the air and launch at a specific target. Once Flameruff jumps up, immediately dash away to evade the area of effect.
Unbroken Flameruff Spirit is one of Inferlupa's damaging abilities that can immediately deplete your BREAK gauge. You will find Inferlupa suddenly charge up momentarily to aim the skill in your direction. During this window, quickly dash away from its vicinity to avoid the attack.
Another of Inferlupa's BREAK-depleting abilities is Wolfpack Onslaught, where it will summon clones from Inferlupa's position. Once you notice Inferlupa initiate a firm stance, immediately back away to avoid getting trapped in its area of effect.
In the case that your Aniimo gets looped in during Unbroken Flameruff Spirit or Wolfpack Onslaught, it will be best to switch Aniimo immediately, especially if you find your BREAK gauge incredibly depleted. Inferlupa has a tendency to use these skills consecutively, which will likely put your Aniimo on a pinch.
During the battle, you will want to breeze through the two Flameruffs in the beginning by inflicting them with BREAK repeatedly. With this in mind, it is best to have a BREAK Aniimo, preferrably a Water-type, to counter its elemental weakness.
We recommend having a BREAK Aniimo like Panpanta or Sherro around, whose Hydro Roll inflicts continuous damage, quickly reducing Flameruff's BREAK gauge. However, these types of skills will cost some EP, so have a Regen Aniimo like Leafy to keep the strategy consistent.

Nightwolf is spotted east of Beast Fang Ridge, near the border to Mistwoods. He is initially accompanied by a Flameruff, which later evolves into an Interlupa after defeating him for the first time.
