Alpha Minespine Can be Caught in Forgotten Mine

Alpha Minespine Location

The Alpha Minespine can be caught after you defeat it in the Forgotten Mine, beneath Beast Fang Ridge. To access the Forgotten Mine, you must first reach the 120 Lumin Amber milestone (Earthwake Revelation) in the Breezy Plains Branch.

Pebbling Evolution Track

If you don't want to use up a Mega Aniipod to guarantee an Alpha Minespine catch, you can instead opt to get a Minespine by evolving a Pebbling or Geodeback. However, do note that you'll still need to defeat the Alpha Minespine at least once to unlock the Nova stage evolution of either aniimo.

Minespine Best Team

Great Break Aniimo in Most Teams

Minespine fits well into most team compositions, serving either as a primary Break Aniimo or a substitute. Its kit is built around pure Break damage and isn’t tied to any specific setup. Its greatest asset is the ability to cast skills while burrowed underground with Tunnel, allowing it to deal continuous damage while remaining immune to attacks.

On the downside, it consumes a lot of EP and its Break setup can feel lengthy in certain team comps. Even so, the unique Tunnel mechanic adds significant value, making Minespine a versatile and resilient option for many teams.

Minespine's best skills are Seismic Wave and Stone Shell. Seismic Wave does heavy Break damage per pulse, while Stone Shell can be used frequently to Break targets.

As a Break aniimo, E is the top priority for Minespine because of the bonus ATK and Break stats. However, having S and J would make Minespine more efficient.

Minespine's best stats are Break and Regen. Break allows it to break targets more efficiently, while Regen compensates for Minespine's EP-hungry kit.

Tier 2 Effect: BREAK +10%. If BREAK Acquired Potential exceeds 15 points, the effect is doubled.

Minespine's best Held item is Gargantuan Horn. It significantly boosts Minespine's Break potential.

Should You Form a Contract with Your Held Item?

Seismic Wave IconSeismic Wave
【BOOSTED】
Seismic Wave now releases an additional shock wave when Minespine takes damage while the skill is active.

We highly recommend forming a contract with the Held Item. During Seismic Wave, the additional shock waves released when Minespine takes damage make the skill far more effective at Breaking targets while also punishing attackers.

How to Play Minespine

Recommended Skill Rotation

  1. If the team has buffs and debuffs, use the skills first to apply them.
  2. Switch now to Minespine, then Tunnel underground and use Seismic Wave and Stone Shell while burrowed.
  3. When needed, unburrow and use Meteor Shower to ensure a Break.
  4. Once the target is broken, switch to a DPS aniimo and execute its combo.
  5. If the team needs EP, switch to a Regen aniimo and use the corresponding skill.

Cast Skills While Tunneling

Apart from Meteor Shower, Minespine can cast skills while burrowed underground with Tunnel, enabling continuous Break damage while remaining immune to attacks. Keep moving while burrowed to make it harder for enemies to land hits, maximizing both safety and damage output.

When using Seismic Wave or Earth Spikes, it's best to stay near the target to ensure they hit. As for Stone Shell, it can be used safely from range.

Tunnel Mobility Skill Effect

Use Earth Spikes to Block Paths

Earth Spikes create crystals behind the target, blocking their path. This skill pairs especially well with Seismic Wave, as it forces enemies to either stay put or maneuver around the crystals—allowing more pulses to land effectively.

Earth Spikes Stats and Effect

Use Meteor Shower as a Finisher

Seismic Wave and Stone Shell can deal significant damage together, but they consume a large amount of EP. While both are sufficient to eventually Break targets, Meteor Shower serves as a quick follow‑up when EP is critically low and the target is close to Breaking. Its damage is usually enough to finish the Break efficiently.

Meteor Shower Stats and Effect

Use to Reclaim, Mine, and Haul in Your Homeland

If Minespine isn't part of your team, it can reclaim land, mine resources, and haul produce to the Home storage in your Homeland.
