Prismana Magmarex spawns on the surface of an island east of Zephyrus Landbridge during a Prismana Flow event. You can swim or glide toward the island from the fast travel point near the foggy geyser in Zephyrus Landbridge.

Good Break and Fire Debuff Applicator for Fire Teams

Prismana Magmarex serves as the Break aniimo for Fire teams, similar to Inferlupa. Its main advantage is the ability to apply Fire Debuff while Breaking enemies. This is especially useful for Infergon teams since Infergon can consume Fire Debuff stacks to increase its damage.

However, its main skill to break enemies, Lava Breath, consumes a large amount of EP. Pair Prismana Magmarex with a strong Regen aniimo to provide additional EP recovery and let it use Lava Breath without consuming too much EP for the whole team.

Gargantuan Horn is recommended for Prismana Magmarex since it provides the most break with its core effect. This lets it stun enemies more quickly and improve overall DPS in skill rotations.

Should You Form a Contract with Your Held Item?

We recommend forming a contract with your held item, as this makes it easier to use Magmarex since Lava Punch no longer consumes the enemy's Fire Debuff stacks. This lets you use the skill for additional Break without interfering with Fire Debuff stacks intended for your Main DPS.

How to Play Prismana Magmarex

Recommended Skill Rotation

  1. Activate an EP recovery buff before switching to Prismana Magmarex. This gives it enough EP to use its Lava Breath skill without consuming too much EP for the team.
  2. Switch to Prismana Magmarex and use Lava Breath to apply Fire Debuff and Break the enemy.
  3. Activate your buffing skills to increase your Main DPS's damage.
  4. Switch to your Main DPS and deal heavy damage while the buffs are active and the enemy has Fire Debuff stacks.

Use EP Recovery Skills Before Lava Breath

Lava Breath consumes a large amount of EP, use skills that increase EP recovery before switching to Prismana Magmarex if you want to apply as many Fire Debuff stacks as possible while maintaining sufficient EP. Using an EP recovery buff beforehand leaves Prismana Magmarex with at least 10 more EP than using Lava Breath without one.

Somniwing's Ethereal Light Weave and Besauce's Charged Geyser are good options for this.

Best Regen Aniimo

Stay Close to Enemies to Apply Fire Debuffs from Pyro Charge

After the team spends 50 EP, Prismana Magmarex's Pyro Charge Trait creates a field around it that applies Fire Debuff stacks to nearby enemies. Stay close to the enemy when using Lava Breath so it can benefit from Pyro Charge while applying additional Fire Debuff stacks.

Avoid Consuming Fire Debuff Stacks With Unboosted Lava Punch

Unboosted Lava Punch consumes all Fire Debuff stacks on the enemy. Save these stacks for your Main DPS instead of using them with Lava Punch to deal more damage overall. You may only use Lava Punch without consuming Fire Debuff after you form a contract with its Held Item.

Use Dark Energy Surge to Stun Enemies

Dark Energy Surge is not one of the recommended skills for this build, but it can be useful in Pathfinder Challenges and PvP. It can interrupt dangerous opponents that need to channel their skills before dealing damage. The skill is easier to use than Magma Surge because it does not require Fire Debuff stacks to stun the enemy.

Use for Hauling, Fire, and Harvesting Crops in the Homeland

Outside of its active party, Prismana Magmarex can help in the Homeland by hauling resources, cooking, smelting, supplying heat, and harvesting and cutting crops.
