How to Play Prismana Thornblade
Recommended Skill Rotation
- Use Melloblum's Rose Garden for increased critical damage and Leafy's Lotus Bloom for increased Grass elemental damage.
- Swap to Prismana Thornblade, then use Thorny Impact and Thorny Defense for increased critical rate and build up Sword Dance stacks.
- Use up the Sword Dance stacks by attacking with basic attacks then use Elegant Waltz.
- Swap to your Support or Regen Aniimo and use skills that heal HP and/or restore EP.
- If needed, swap to Tuckin and use Breaking Roar to Break the target.
Build Up Sword Dance Stacks
Prismana Thornblade's basic attacks can deal 180% extra damage per Sword Dance stack. You build Sword Dance stacks by using skills, for up to 4 stacks. This works great with Thorny Defense and Thorny Impact's increased critical rate effect, allowing Prismana Thornblade to unleash devastating attacks.
Use Thorny Rain to Deal Burst Damage
Thorny Rain has Prismana Thornblade do a combo attack. While it does decent damage on its own, if you use a Thorny Impact before Thorny Rain, each attack now has a chance to deal critical damage. When this happens, Thorny Rain becomes a powerful burst-damage skill.
Use Hit-and-Run Tactics
Thorny Impact allows Prismana Thornblade to quickly close the gap and get into melee range, setting up follow‑up skills or basic attacks. With this mobility, Prismana Thornblade excels as a hit‑and‑run damage dealer, relying on swift movements to dodge incoming attacks while striking back with bursts of damage.

Since Prismana Thornblade is both a Grass and a Water aniimo, it takes significantly less damage from Earth aniimo. This is because Earth damage is not effective against Grass and Water, as indicated in the type chart.
In our testing, both Thornblade and Prismana Thornblade are level 60 and have 238 P.DEF. When attacked by Alpha Bouldus, Prismana Thornblade took approximately 37% less damage from the attacks compared to Thornblade.

Use Aqua Defense in Pathfinder Challenges
Prismana Thornblade’s exclusive skill, Aqua Defense, is granted by its dual‑element typing. It functions much like Thorny Defense, but with a longer cooldown and a different effect: instead of boosting critical rate, it applies Lockdown to the target.
Lockdown prevents aniimo from switching for a set duration. While this effect isn’t practical for general use, it proves highly effective in Pathfinder Challenges, where opponents often switch aniimo to counter your active one. By inflicting Lockdown, you can disrupt their strategy and prevent them from countering your current aniimo.

If Prismana Thornblade is not in your active party, you can assign it to plant seeds, gather resources, water plants, or create handcrafted goods in your Homeland.
