Aniimo is an open world action RPG where you control a player character and explore the vast world with your companions called Aniimo. You will be exploring this landscape in order to progress the main story.

By twining with their Aniimo, the player is able to climb, fly, and swim in order to traverse the open world. There are also numerous things to do along the way, such as reaching checkpoints, finding dungeons called Sanctums and beating them to earn rewards, and clearing assessments to reach higher-level titles.
There are also Alpha Aniimo, which are bosses you can find on the field. Along with the daily activities the player can do, the overall gameplay loop feels similar to Genshin Impact's manner of exploration and combat.

Aniimo don't just follow the player around, but they can also be twined with. Twining with your Aniimo lets you control them directly, allowing you to control how they move and what actions they take in combat. You can switch between four Aniimo in your team, with each one able to serve a certain role such as DPS or Support.
Twining vs Command Mode: Which is Better?

RV Parks are a bunch of island beaches that the player can find scattered across different regions, and this is where they can set up a base of sorts. You can arrange furniture here and have friends visit your home.

While Palworld is more focused on survival gameplay and gathering resources, Aniimo lets you roam around as part of its story progression. Exploration is deeply tied to Aniimo collecting and raising your rank, gaining access to even more features and rewards.

You can only establish your base in RV Parks, which are scattered across the map. Once you're in your RV, you can access a furniture store and decorate the place as you please.

Palworld's combat style is collaboration between the player and their pal, whereas Aniimo lets you become one with your companion via twining. Control your Aniimo directly to control the flow of battle and make use of the numerous elemental types to make a powerful team.
You don't have to twine with your Aniimo to engage in combat. When the player is on the field, their Aniimo fights automatically.

Throughout the game, you will come across Held Items that your Aniimo can equip. These items come in different rarities, and can also be enhanced to further strengthen your Aniimo and its abilitites.

Aniimo is completely free-to-play and can immediately be played upon downloading and installing. The only premium content consists of monthly passes and costume packs, which have no meta purpose and are purely cosmetic. The monthly passes give the player a ton of resources, but these can otherwise be obtained for free.

Both Aniimo and Palworld offer the same creature catching and collecting gameplay mechanic. In Aniimo, you capture the creatures using Aniipods whereas in Palworld, you capture them using Pal Spheres.
Collecting Aniimo is highly encouraged as it gives you rewards for every milestone you achieved in the Aniilog. Palworld encourages the same mechanic as you can deploy the Pals to work in producing materials in your base.

You can assign different Aniimo from your storage to help out with farming at your base. By using the right Aniimo for the job, you can raise efficiency and get various items for capturing even more Aniimos.
Homeland Guide: Best Basebuilding Tips

As your Aniimo work in your base, you must be mindful of their health. If food supply is low or they've been left alone for too long, your Aniimo can become sick. This severely hampers production, so be sure to maintain the food supply and keep your Aniimo well-fed.
