Mega Garchomp ex is able to hit for 190 damage with Falling Edge, notably knocking out most Pokemon in the game. This gives it a natural upper hand against Pokemon like Mega Altaria ex or Mega Absol ex.
With a single Dragonair set up, Mega Garchomp ex can use Falling Edge consecutively.
A copy of Garchomp from Team Rocket's Ambition gives you a strong, single-point Pokemon that's usable in matchups against Pom-Pom Oricorio or as an initial attacker while you prepare a healthy Mega Garchomp ex on the bench.

Mega Garchomp ex's Falling Edge deals 190 damage, OHKOing most Pokemon in the game. Pokemon like Mega Altaria ex and Mega Absol ex are easily OHKOd by this.

Use the Rainbow Cave to discard Energy from the Energy Zone that you do not need, and replace it with the next Energy. We highly recommend using the Rainbow Cove Stadium if you're playing decks that have multiple Energies at play such as Dragon decks.

Mega Garchomp ex can take a while to set up since it has a 2 stage evolution. Try to KO Gible before it gets the chance to evolve.

Discard the Rainbow Cave stadium using the Field Blower or by placing a different Stadium down. Discarding your opponent's Rainbow Cave will make it more difficult for them to draw the Energy that they need to use Mega Garchomp ex's attack.

Use Pokemon that have more than 200 HP, to prevent being OHKO'd by Mega Garchomp ex . If needed, use cards that can boost HP such as the Giant Cape so that you don't give Mega Garchomp ex the chance to score a KO.
