Even with a fast attacker like Hitmonchan ex and an accelerator like Wally, this Fighting-type deck is still at a disadvantage against low-cost aces, especially Psychic-types like Mega Altaria ex and Gourgeist.

Discard Mega Gallade ex's Energy

Mega Gallade ex needs 3 Energy to attack and 2 Energy to retreat. If you can discard all of its Energy using cards like Typhlosion ex and Team Rocket Grunt, it will essentially brick the card and even prevent it from retreating, securing a 3-point KO.

Mega Rayquaza ex

Have either Altaria or Drampa stall the opponent while having Rainbow Cave and Dragonair accelerate Energy to them. Keep Mega Rayquaza ex on the Bench until it can gain 4 Energy to guarantee a KO on Mega Gallade ex.
