The Mega Houndoom ex Drop Event ran from August 12, 2026 to August 22, 2026.
This event allowed players to participate in solo AI battles featuring the Mega Houndoom ex card, along with receiving useful rewards by completing battle-related missions.
To participate in solo battles, you will need to use Event Stamina. Event Stamina is consumed for each win, meaning that losing won’t affect your stamina in this mode.
Additionally, you can replenish Event Stamina with Event Hourglasses, which you can earn as rewards from the beginner and intermediate solo battles, or Poke Gold.

Mega Houndoom ex is the best card to pull for in this event. It is a fairly strong Mega Evolution ex card that can be used as a main attacker.
Carvanha may also be good to pull for. It can damage Benched Pokemon, which can be useful if paired with Cyrus.

Whenever you receive a promo pack as a reward, you can open it in your gift list found in the upper right of the main menu.
A pack only contains one of the available promo cards, so try to get and open as many packs as you can!

In Event Solo Battles, you can battle against different decks that scale on difficulty. Once you have defeated a deck, the next deck will be unlocked containing harder cards than the last.
There are only 4 levels of Solo Battle: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert—with Expert giving you a guaranteed card pack pull from the event.

It is best to attack and land KOs quickly before Mega Houndoom ex is properly set up. Use Water-type Pokemon with low Attack Costs in order to counter the opponent's deck with a Type advantage.

Mega Houndoom ex's Grimhound Flare can deal a great amount of damage if your opponent is lucky with their coin flips. You may want to increase your Pokemon's HP with Pokemon Tools in order to avoid being in KO range.

You may try to KO Houndour early to prevent it from evolving to Mega Houndoom ex. If it is on the Bench, you may bring it to the Active Spot using Sabrina or Cyrus.

Altaria or Drampa can be used as early-game attackers as Mega Rayquaza ex is being set up in the Bench. A combination of Rainbow Cave and Dragonair is then used to generate more Energy for Mega Rayquaza ex.
Once there's enough Energy in play, put it in the Active Spot and have it attack the opponent's Pokemon. While attacking will discard all of its Energy, you may be able to immediately attack again in the next turn if you have at least 1 Dragonair in your Bench.
