Gengar ex works both as an attacker and a disruptor, preventing your opponent from using Supporter cards. Indeedee ex is used as a supporting Pokemon in the Bench, healing its damaged allies.
You may switch Indeedee ex in to the Active Spot when dealing with Pokemon with high Attack Costs. Since Psychic deals more damage against enemies with a lot of Energy attached, Indeedee ex has the capability of landing OHKOs against certain threats.
You may use the non-ex Gengar in this deck to counter Pom-Pom Style Oricorio.

List of All Psychic Type Pokemon Cards
Psychic-type cards are able to deal a huge amount of damage to wipe out any card in a match, provided they can quickly set up their Energy costs before the opponent completes their set up.
Cards like Mewtwo ex or Mega Diancie ex can dish out a lot of damage but is held back by high Energy costs, which can be alleviated by setting up Gardevoir or Mega Gardevoir ex.
Some Psychic-type cards can also be used as utility, focusing on disrupting an opponent's strategy instead of dealing damage.
Hypno's ability to inflict sleep status on cards and both Gengar and Gengar ex' effect of restricing the use of Supporter cards are examples of this.
Indeedee ex on the other hand, can heal HP from your damaged Pokemon, keeping them in the fight for longer.
