For this deck, it is recommended to gather Lightning Energy using Magneton's Volt Charge Ability as soon as you can. You can use Lisia and Clemont to help you find the Pokemon you need to get this done.

Then, you'll have the choice to evolve Magneton into either Magnezone ex or the non-ex Magnezone from the Crimson Blaze set. Magnezone ex is recommended if you need the large burst of firepower. Non-ex Magnezone is recommended if you don't need as much attack power, or if Magnezone ex is under threat of being knocked out and you want to try to prevent your opponent from attacking.

The Pom-Pom Oricorio in this deck is recommended to be placed in the Active Spot at the start of the match while you set up your Magnezone. It can also be used against strong ex Pokemon especially if your opponent has no good non-ex Pokemon in their hand.

Crimson Blaze Magnezone is used as the early and mid-game attacker of the deck. With Mirror Shot, it can avoid KOs while chipping away at the opponent's HP. Pom-Pom Oricorio can also be used in the early game in order to counter ex Pokemon.

Once you have one or two points, Mega Manectric ex can be used as a finisher. It can deal up to 140 damage for only two Energies.

Set Mega Kangaskhan ex in the Active Spot and use its attack to KO Pokemon. Meanwhile, set up Greninja in the Bench and use its Water Shuriken Ability to snipe your opponent's Benched Pokemon, then gust them out with Cyrus.

Greninja plays an important role in the deck, being the deck's main source of damage outside of Giratina ex's Chaotic Impact. Water Shuriken can get opposing Pokemon into Giratina ex's KO range,

Pom-Pom Oricorio serves as a wall, which negates all damage done by ex Pokemon. Pom-Pom Oricorio with Greninja in the back using Water Shuriken, as Giratina ex sets itself up with Broken-Space Bellow is a setup that's difficult to break.

It also makes use of Shaymin to keep its Pokemon healthy by healing 10 HP every turn, as well as Irida to heal 40 damage from your Pokemon with Water Energy.

This deck runs Chingling, which synergizes with Copycat. Chingling's Jingly Noise can shut your opponents out of using Item Cards, increasing their hand count, which in turn can cause Copycat to draw more cards.

Pom-Pom Oricorio Deck Strategy Guide

Relies on Main Lightning Attackers

Pom-Pom Oricorio shuts down any ex Pokemon-centric decks thanks to its Ability. This lets you set up your attackers on the sidelines without the threat of Pom-Pom Oricorio being knocked out.

Once set up, you can bring in Magnezone and Tapu Koko to defeat any non-ex Pokemon, then switch back to Pom-Pom Oricorio to finish off any opossing ex cards.

Use Trainer Cards to Get Other Pokemon

Cards like Pokemon Communication and Iono are essential to this deck so you can easily find Pom-Pom Oricorio, put it in the field, and prevent any ex Pokemon to get some momentum early on.

You can also use these to build up your Magnezone in your Bench.

How to Beat Pom-Pom Oricorio Decks

Take Advantage of its Fighting-type Weakness

Pom-Pom Oricorio may render ex Pokemon ineffective, but it doesn't stop non-ex Fighting-type cards from getting the upper hand.

Most non-ex Fighting-type Pokemon can easily knock out Pom-Pom Oricorio, and will have no problem taking on its teammates, such as Magnezone or Magnezone ex.

Why is it that I have not once had any Electric energy appear when using this deck??? Has been driving me nuts ... Oricorio has yet to attack in my games lol
