You may use Fire-type Pokemon to take advantage of Type matchups. Since Mega Metagross ex needs a bit of time to ramp up, it is best to use Pokemon with low Attack Costs.
Mega Blaziken ex and Incineroar ex are good options since they can also deal additional damage by inflicting Burn.

It may be good to have cards that can provide you with additional Energy. This will allow you to get your field up faster making it easy to pressure Metagross through energy and card advantage.
You may use a Trainer Card such as Flame Patch, or Pokemon with Energy-accelerating moves such as Shining Revelry Charizard ex or Moltres ex.

Metal Core Barrier can reduce the damage of one of your attacks, making it possible for your opponents to survive fatal hits. You may use Guzma to discard this Pokemon Tool in order to attack at full power.
Alternatively, you may use Sabrina or Cyrus to move another Pokemon to the Active Spot. This will allow you to deal full damage to another Pokemon before the Metal Core Barrier gets discarded at the end of the turn.

Mega Blaziken ex is the deck's primary attacker. Sunny Form Castform can also hold its own as a single-pont attacker that synergizes with the deck's Stadium cards, allowing it to deal 30-50 damage for only 1 Energy.

Altaria or Drampa can be used as early-game attackers as Mega Rayquaza ex is being set up in the Bench. A combination of Rainbow Cave and Dragonair is then used to generate more Energy for Mega Rayquaza ex.
Once there's enough Energy in play, put it in the Active Spot and have it attack the opponent's Pokemon. While attacking will discard all of its Energy, you may be able to immediately attack again in the next turn if you have at least 1 Dragonair in your Bench.

Alolan Ninetales ex and Crawdaunt are amazing for this stage by pressuring Mega Metagross ex by limiting its Energy Acceleration. It is also significantly faster to set-up thanks to Sightseer and Training Area buffing your attacks!

Type: Null is guaranteed to be your Basic Pokemon upon starting a match, since it's the only Basic Pokemon in this deck. You should be able to evolve it quickly with the help of Gladion and Professor's Research.
Once you have Silvally on hand, it's recommended to use Supporter cards every turn in order to boost your attack's damage to 100.
Silvally isn't your only source of damage on this deck, though. Rampardos allows you to have a bulkier Pokemon in your deck that can do a lot of damage without too much setup. You can get this Pokemon in this deck by using Rare Candy on a Skull Fossil.
