Mega Sceptile ex Deck Strategy Guide

Draw Useful Pokemon With Trainer Cards

Fragrant Forest and Quick-Grow Extract can help you find the Pokemon that you wish to put into play.

This is useful since Mega Sceptile ex is a Stage 2 Pokemon. Cards like these help you evolve your Pokemon more consistently.

Deal Chip Damage With an Early-Game Attacker

Mega Sceptile ex can deal a total of 140 damage per turn with its attack and the Poison Status Condition. However, bulkier opponents can still tank this damage and attack on the next turn.

To remedy this, you may use an early-game attacker to deal chip damage. This chip damage can also allow you to move frailer Benched Pokemon to the Active Spot with Cyrus and land a KO.

How to Beat Mega Sceptile ex Decks

Counter With Pom-Pom Oricorio

A Pom-Pom Oricorio can wall a fully-evolved Mega Sceptile ex. Take note that the Poison effect will still go through even if Oricorio blocks the damage, so make sure to bring recovery cards to keep Oricorio healthy.

Use Fast and Bulky Attackers

You may use attackers that can attack quickly and tank one attack from Mega Sceptile ex. It is best to choose a Pokemon that can deal great damage with a low Attack Cost.

Bring Benched Pokemon to the Active Spot

Cards such as Sabrina and Cyrus can allow you to send Mega Sceptile ex to the Bench. This can give you the option to KO another Pokemon to secure a win.

You may also use these cards to KO Treecko and Grovyle before they evolve. This will prevent you from having to deal with Mega Sceptile ex.

This article keeps mentioning quick grow extract, but that card isn’t on the deck list? Was poison barb accidentally put in instead of quick grow extract?
