This is a standard Mega Altaria ex and Darkrai deck that adds Paradox Drive Espeon as another enabler for Darkrai's Bad Dreams. It also uses Mega Rising Eevee so it can evolve and attack as Espeon on its first turn, which is very advantageous if you are going second. This build was used during the Paradox Drive Ranked Season.

Alternate Cards Possible Cuts

Poke Ball
(P-A 005)
→

• Add another Poke Ball to increase the chance of drawing Darkrai.
• Lisia is a better choice for thinning the deck and ensuring Mega Altaria ex gains at least 60 more damage in its attack, so this alternative depends on your preference.

Sabrina
(A1 225)
or →

• There are a lot of situations where you Sabrina is more useful, especially when getting the last point.

Darkrai and its Bad Dreams Ability synergizes with Igglybuff's Sleepy Lullaby which puts the defending Pokemon to Sleep. It also synergizes with Paradox Drive Espeon which is able to inflict Sleep as early as turn 1

This is a powerful early-game strategy that's usable very early in a game.

Mega Altaria ex can score KOs in the late-game, giving this deck an advantage at any point in the game.

PD Espeon Deck Strategy Guide

Pair With Darkrai

Paradox Drive Espeon's Hypnoblast inflicts Asleep on its target, allowing Darkrai's Bad Dreams to deal additional chip damage at the end of the turn.

If you have 2 Darkrai in your bench, PD Espeon's attack can deal 80 damage in a single turn (or 120 damage if the target doesn't recover from Asleep during their turn) for only 1 Energy.

Buy Time for Main Attacker

Paradox Drive Espeon can buy time for your main attacker in the bench by continuously inflicting Asleep. Due to Hypnoblast being cheap, you can immediately start attaching Energy to your Benched Pokemon.

How to Beat PD Espeon Decks

Use Bulky Metal Pokemon with Steel Apron

Using a bulky Metal-type Pokemon and attaching a Steel Apron to it allows it to tank Paradox Drive Espeon's attack and negate its Asleep effect. Additionally, since PD Espeon is commonly included in Mega Altaria ex decks, you also have an advantage against your opponent's main attacker.
