Target Ralts and Kirlia before they have the chance to evolve into Gardevoir. Gardevoir can add additional Psychic Energy to the Active Pokemon, speeding up their set-up. Defeat Gardevoir's evolution first to remove its advantage.

Mewtwo ex deals the most damage in the opponent's deck, however, it has a high Energy cost. Use Dark-type Pokemon that are quick to build such as Mega Absol ex or Zoroark ex to attack early and gain the upperhand.

Discard the opponent's Peculiar Plaza Stadium by either playing Guzma or playing your own Stadium card first. When played, Peculiar Plaza lessens the Psychic Energy cost of Psychic Pokemon by 2. This makes heavy hitters in the opponent's deck such as Mewtwo ex faster to build.

Hitmontop and Riolu can both be used as early game attackers. Hitmontop can attack the opponent's Bench during the early game, giving the player an advantage. Meanwhile, Riolu can be a good counter to Basic ex Pokemon that are often set down right away due to its special attack effect.
Rampardos is built in the Bench. When ready, or when the opponent's Active Pokemon is within KO range, use Rampardos to deal devastating damage.
When evolved, Riolu also becomes Lucario who boosts the damage of all Fighting Pokemon, making a devastating combo.

Hydreigon boasts a number of powerful attributes. being a non-ex, single-point Pokemon that can deal high damage and accelerate Energy onto itself.
Being a Stage 2, however comes with the limitation of being difficult to set up and being reliant on multiple turns and finding Rare Candy.
This deck also runs non-ex Absol, whose Leap Over Attack can outright KO Mantyke and Magikarp.

| Paradox Drive (B3a) | Any 12 Stage 1 or Stage 2 Pokemon Cards with 3 or more Retreat Costs. |
This is a flexible deck that revolves around Mega Rising Golurk and its Heavy Rocket attack which can deal up to 180 Damage with only 2 Energy.
The 2 Golett should be the only Basic Pokemon of this deck, and there are 4 Supporters to help you look for the Golurk for evolution.
Since the core consists of only 8 cards, the other 12 cards of the deck can be filled up with different Pokemon from the Paradox Drive Expansion, fulfilling the requirements of the Battle Task.
Just make sure to only add Stage 1 and Stage 2 Pokemon so that you are guaranteed a Golett in your starting hand and with Poke Ball. Additionally, only add those with Retreat Costs of 3 or more to empower Golurk's Heavy Rocket.

You may fill your deck with the cards listed above in order to clear the Battle Task. You may use up to two of each card for the deck.
If you are missing cards that are above Stage 1, you may opt to use Great Tusk or Klawf. However, keep in mind that they may affect your starting hand. If this happens, we recommend restarting the battle until you get Golett in your starting hand.
They can also work as Basic attackers as needed for extra firepower. Just keep in mind that Great Tusk will damage any Golett you may be preparing in your Bench.
