Mega Sableye ex Deck Strategy Guide

Set Up While Chingling Attacks

Chingling is a great early-game Pokemon that can disrupt your opponents from their setup. Darkrai ex on your Bench can also help rack up damage while you get your board ready.

Giving Chingling a Lucky Egg can help advance your board as well when it gets knocked out.

Evolve Greninja Early

An early Greninja can often mean victory for you, as you can consistently apply damage on your opponent's side of the field. Cyrus becomes an active threat whenever you have it in your hand.

Assemble Your Board

Once you have your Greninja, Darkrai ex, and Mega Sableye ex in play, your board state becomes very difficult for opponents to deal with. Y

The combination of Greninja's sniping and Darkrai ex's passive damage can help with Mega Sableye ex's rather low damage output, and help with achieving decisive KOs.

Comparison with Mega Absol ex

Mega ex Pokemon Comparison
Mega Sableye ex Strength:
Has higher damage potential than Mega Absol ex
Weakness:
Prone to getting gusted by Cyrus and knocked out
Mega Absol ex Strength:
Highly disruptive effect of discarding an opponent's Supporter cards
Weakness:
Lacks valuable damage output.

The differences between the two Mega ex Pokemon are described above. Mega Sableye ex offers extra damage at the cost of some HP, while Mega Absol ex can mitigate the risk of it getting gusted out by Cyrus on a later turn.

How to Beat Mega Sableye ex Decks

KO Mega Sableye ex

Mega Sableye ex has low HP for a Mega ex Pokemon. Sniping it and gusting it out with Cyrus can immediately score you a win if you can knock it out.

Mega Lucario ex and Hitmonlee

The combination of Mega Lucario ex and Hitmonlee can easily beat Mega Sableye ex decks.

Hitmonlee can handily snipe Mega Sableye ex from the Bench or a benched Chingling. While Mega Lucario ex can either KO a Mega Sableye ex or a damaged Darkrai ex, which can score you two points for a win after Hitmonlee has taken out a Chingling.
