The opponent can attack and accelerate Energy rather quickly. It is best to land KOs fast in order to stop them from setting up.
It is best to use Lightning-type Pokemon with low Attack Costs. Pom-Pom Oricorio is particularly good for walling ex Pokemon.

It may be good to have Pokemon with higher damage outputs in order to KO ex Pokemon more efficiently. They can be used mid to late game.

Mega Sharpedo ex and Team Rocket's Lapras will not be able to KO high-HP Pokemon. However, they can do enough damage to put your Pokemon in KO range for the next turn.
You may use cards that heal or increase your Pokemon's HP to increase their survivability.

Mega Blaziken ex is the deck's primary attacker. It has a powerful, low-cost attack, and can also inflict opponents with Burn.
Sunny Form Castform can also hold its own as a single-pont attacker that synergizes with the deck's Stadium cards, allowing it to deal 30-50 damage for only 1 Energy.

While using Pom-Pom Oricorio to nullify attacks from ex Pokemon, accelerate Lightning Energy to Genetic Apex Magneton with its Ability. Once set up, evolve Magneton to Crimson Blaze Magnezone.
Promote your fully-set up Magnezone to the Active Spot since it will be your main attacker. Magnezone's Mirror Shot will force the opponent to flip a coin whenever they attack. When flipping Tails, the attack does not happen. Taking advantage of this disruption will be key to victory.

This deck's win condition is inflicting Status Conditions to fuel Team Rocket's Magmar's Derisive Roasting. Each Status Condition on the opponent's Active Pokemon adds 50 damage, enough to blow up even bulky ex Pokemon. Team Rocket's Weezing's Boiler Smog, Team Rocket's Master Plan, and Poison Barb are your main tools for applying those conditions.
Ideally you'll start with Happiny on the Active Spot, since Chubby Cheer adds +20 damage to your attacks next turn. Team Rocket's Koffing is also an okay start, as Reverse Thrust lets it retreat for free so a different Pokemon can stay on Active. TR Magmar is the least ideal start, but can still be worked around. You'll want to save it purely for the finishing blow. Whichever Pokemon is Active going into your opponent's turn, equip it with Poison Barb.
