Proficiency is an Augment obtained at the end of A Keepsake, for Your Sake quest in the Dark Arisen DLC of Dragon’s Dogma 2 (DD2). Learn about the effects of Proficiency in this guide!

Proficiency Augment Reduces Stamina consumed when performing the most advanced form of a weapon skill. The effect of Zeal will partially stack if enabled alongside this augment.

Arisen-only

At first glance, Proficiency sounds like it applies to all skills, but it only reduces the Stamina cost for the upgraded variants of weapon skills. This means if you only have two upgraded skills equipped on your appraised weapon, only those two will benefit the reduced Stamina consumption.

Maximum value for this is if you cap at four skills total. Maister skills do not benefit from Proficiency since they lack a higher-tier upgrade.

Finish A Keepsake, for Your Sake Sidequest

Family Confrontation

You will recieve the Treatise on Proficiency upon completing A Keepsake, for Your Sake, a post-game quest involving Dorin, Ilda, and Polyeidus. Simply read the Treatise to unlock the augment in your arsenal.

This would probabaly be the last obtainable augment in the Dark Arisen DLC, as it is locked behind countless of sidequests involving the Norgandian Settlement NPCs.
