Into Rancor is a post-game quest in the Dark Arisen DLC of Dragon’s Dogma 2 (DD2). This guide will show you the quest walkthrough, rewards, and where to find Rancor's Vortex!

Talk to Polyeidus

Polyeidus Castletown Campground

Make your way to Castletown Campground and head to the hallway on the right to talk to Polyeidus.

Head to Abyss Ridge

Pathfinder Abyss Ridge

Head to Abyss Ridge, where you previously spoke with the Pathfinder during Soul Searching. Leave the campground and make your way east from Lorade Castletown.

At the edge of the bridge at the top, you will find the Pathfinder again.

Dispel Four Rancor's Vortexes

Rancor

The Pathfinder has given you a Soulless Godsbane Blade and tasked you with dispelling Rancor's Vortexes all over Norgan. You only need to dispel four Rancor's Vortexes to progress the quest.

Interacting with a Rancor's Vortex will cause the surrounding area to be sealed off, trapping you in a confined space with waves of enemies (including 3-4 minibosses). Once every last enemy is defeated, you will be able to escape and claim your reward. Make sure to always prepare before entering a Rancor's Vortex.

Where to Find Rancor's Vortex

Eye of the Sphinx Vortex Locations

Use the Eye of the Sphinx from your inventory to locate Rancor's Vortexes, which will be marked on your map with purple cyclone icons. Head to one and interact with it to enter a Rancor's Vortex.

Return to Abyss Ridge

Return to Abyss Ridge

Once you've dispelled or cleared four Rancor's Vortexes, return to Abyss Ridge and talk to the Pathfinder again. Brandish the Blade of Rancor at the edge of the bridge to open the path to Nifhel.

Before moving forward, equip your best gear and rally your best Pawns, as you're about to enter a boss fight. Make camp at a nearby firepit, rest, and cook food to ensure your squad is in top shape.

Defeat Satanachia

Defeat Satanachia

When you're ready, jump off the bridge to enter Nifhel, where you'll face the secret boss, Satanachia.

Defeat Satanachia! The boss has no weaknesses or resistances and is immune to status effects. Satanachia also has no weak points, so you're going to have brute force your way from all angles to remove its HP. Click the link below to learn more tips on how to beat Satanachia!

Once Satanachia has been defeated, a cutscene will trigger, and you'll return to the Norgandian Settlement, ending the quest
