Augment Effect: Reduces Stamina consumed when performing the most advanced form of a weapon skill. The effect of Zeal will partially stack if enabled alongside this augment. |
| Lupinity |
Augment Effect: Reduces Stamina consumed by jumping and dashing while accompanying the hound. |

How to Get Augments
Earn DCP to Increase Vocation Rank
The DCP needed for the next vocation is seen under the current unlocked rank at the Vocation Guild.
Augments are unlocked for purchase by earning Discipline Points (DCP) from completing activities such as defeating monsters, finishing main and side quests, or other exploration-related activities with the equipped vocation.
It is best to play different vocations to unlock augments since you can equip these to any vocation, allowing for a mix-and-match of beneficial effects. Augments must be purchased first with Discipline Points before you can equip them.
Pawn Augment Progression
Pawns earn Discipline Points only while actively in your party. Main Pawns can unlock and equip Augments normally, while hired Pawns retain the Augments unlocked by their owner. You cannot purchase or modify Augments for hired Pawns.
What are Augments?
Permanent Buffs to Aid Combat and Exploration
Augments are permanently unlocked passive abilities, but their effects only apply while they are equipped. They can increase stats, improve combat performance, or add additional utility effects as long as they remain equipped.
You can only have up to 6 Augments equipped at a time, so plan which Augments to use for both your Arisen and your Pawn carefully, as you can only change them at a Vocation Guild.
Augments Carry Over to New Game Plus
Unlocked Augments carry over into New Game Plus, allowing you to immediately equip any previously learned Augments. However, Vocation Ranks do not carry over, meaning you must still re-earn ranks to unlock additional Augments for each vocation.
Augments From Other Vocations Can Be Equipped
Mettle comes from the Fighter Vocation while Subtley comes from Thief.
Augments are highly beneficial since you can equip them to any vocation. For example, the Fighter's Thew Augment is generally alright to equip in most vocations since they increase additional weight.
Likewise, Thief's Verve beneficial to even more straightforward combat vocations such as the Fighter class.
