Sticks and Stones is a quest added in the Dark Arisen DLC of Dragon’s Dogma 2 (DD2). This guide will show you a walkthrough of Sticks and Stones, its quest location, rewards, and how to get Heatstones!

Talk to Morgus

Morgus Choice

Talk to Morgus by the broken bridge just northwest of the Norgandian Settlement. When Morgus asks you to gather three Heatstones, you will have the choice to either accompany him or look for them on your own.

If you choose the former, continue to the next step.

If you decline accompanying Morgus, he will tell you that Heatstones can be obtained by destroying abandoned firepits and will mark some firepit locations on the map. Go to them, destroy the firepits, and collect three Heatstones. You can then skip to the last step!

Accompany Morgus

Beorcan Camp Location

Follow Morgus to the Beorcan camp on the cliff. Be ready, as you may encounter enemies along the way.

If you haven't attached the Climbing Hook to the tether post on the cliff above you, you will have to circle around Valgr Ravine to reach the Beorcan camp. Otherwise, you can just climb up the cliff to reach the camp instantly.

Defeat the Beorcans

Defeat Beorcans

Defeat the Beorcans around the firepit. Morgus will be fighting alongside you.

Destroy the Abandoned Firepit

Destroy Firepit

After dealing with the Beorcans, go to the abandoned firepit with Morgus and destroy it by attacking it. Collect the Heatstones it drops.

Report Back to Ryatt

Report Back to Ryatt

Once you have the Heatstones, head back to the Norgandian Settlement and report back to Ryatt. This will complete the quest!

How to Start Start Seeking the Sage, then talk to Morgus

Start Seeking the Sage Quest

Dorin Climbing Hook

To unlock Sticks and Stones, you must at least start the story quest Seeking the Sage. Progress until you acquire the Spirit Compass and Dorin gives you a Climbing Hook, which will be useful for backtracking.

Once you've found the Spirit Compass, Morgus should appear by the broken bridge just outside the village.

Heatstone Recipes

Completing Sticks and Stones unlocks two recipes for crafting a Heatstone. Use them to prevent the Chilled debilitation for some time.
