Norgan Questline |
The Dark Arisen DLC introduces a questline that has you investigating rumors of a second Arisen in the snowy region of Norgan. There are 9 required quests for the DLC main storyline, plus a series of Sage's Wisdom sub-quests part of the Seeking the Sage quest. ▶︎ How to Start Dark Arisen DLC |
Norgan Region |
Majority of the Dark Arisen DLC takes place in the new region Norgan, located in the Far North. The new map doesn't physically connect to the base game map. You also can only use Norgan Portcrystals while in this region. The snow region also presents ice-themed environmental hazards like blizzards and a chilled status effect. ▶︎ Norgan Interactive Map |
New Quests |
Outside of the main quest, Norgan also features about a dozen new side quests, most of which can be found in the Norgandian Settlement. ▶︎ All Dark Arisen Quests |
New Enemies |
The new DLC and update introduce corrupted enemies alongside Norgan's deadliest foes and bosses. Formidable new threats that will test your skills and force you to gear up for the challenge.
▶︎ All New Enemies and Corrupted Beasts |
New Weapons |
The Norgan region follows a whole new, randomized, loot-driven gear system called Spoils (Norgan Relics). You obtained unappraised spoils as loot drops from enemies, have them appraised at the settlement, then receive equipment with randomized stats and effects. In the base game map, each Vocation gets 1 new unique weapon through the Lost Rite dungeons in Vermund. ▶︎ All New Weapons |
New Armor |
Similar to weapons, DLC armor found in Norgan is obtained via the RNG Spoils system. Norgan Armor also has the Layered Armor feature called the transmog system.
▶︎ All New Armor |
Transmog |
Transmog is added to Dragon's Dogma 2 via the Dark Arisen DLC. It's unlocked via the late-game side quest Reaching the Far Shore. You can't transmog/change the appearance of armor from the base game, only armor from Norgan. ▶︎ How to Transmog |
New Weapon Skills |
No new vocations were added for the Dark Arisen DLC. Instead, each vocation receives new skills to further expand possible playstyles for each class. New Weapon Skills are unlocked in Norgan via Obelisks. ▶︎ All New Weapon Skills |
New Augments |
Dark Arisen introduces new Augments that can be equipped by any vocation of the Arisen. • Advertence • Fortuity • Lupinity • Proficiency |
Lost Rites |
Outside of the Norgan expansion, the Dark Arisen DLC adds 12 Lost Rite Dungeons to the base game map (3 found in the Unmoored World). Lost Rite Dungeons are repeatable and reward you with unique weapons and armor, as well as enhancement material for the DLC weapons. ▶︎ Lost Rites Gear and Rewards |
Hard Mode |
Launching alongside the Dark Arisen DLC and free for all players is the Hard Mode difficulty. Here, enemy's deal more damage and have stronger resistance, while yielding more XP and DCP, for a truly challenge playthrough. ▶︎ How to Start Hard Mode |
