Speak with Dwayne
Dorin has asked you to participate in his son Dwayne's bout. Before that, head to the Norgandian Inn and speak with Dwayne.
Dwayne will ask you to let him win the bout and provide him with Savagery Extract and Stoutness Extract to help him defeat you. You can choose whether or not to give Dwayne the extracts before the bout.
Start the Bout
When you're ready, unequip your weapon and speak with Dorin to start the bout. Your choice to defeat Dwayne or let him win will determine the rewards you receive for completing the quest.
| Choices | ||
|---|---|---|
| Defeat Dwayne | Let Dwayne Win | Give Extracts and Defeat Dwayne |
Defeat Dwayne
If you did not give Dwayne the extracts, defeat him in hand-to-hand combat. Dwayne will be upset that you didn't let him win, but Dorin will still be proud of his son.
Let Dwayne Win
If you gave Dwayne the extracts, throw the bout and let him defeat you in hand-to-hand combat. After the bout, return to Dwayne at the inn to receive your reward and complete the quest.
Give Extracts and Defeat Dwayne
If you gave Dwayne the extracts but still defeat him in hand-to-hand combat, he will be upset that you didn't let him win but will appreciate the strength you've shown even after taking the extracts.
Should You Let Dwayne Win?
Get More Rewards When You Give Dwayne Extracts and Defeat Him
It is better to give Dwayne the extracts, then defeat him in the bout to get more rewards. In addition to more XP and RC, you will also receive Fungal Cure-All x3 and Regeneration Elixir x3.
Storywise, Dwayne will also be humbled and strive to become a better warrior.
