Complete Into Rancor and Defeat Satanachia

Defeat Satanachia

The most straightforward way to get Level 5 Spoils is by completing the post-game quest Into Rancor and defeating the secret boss Satanachia. In addition to the usual rewards for completing the quest, you will also get a variety of Spoils, including Level 5 ones, upon defeating Satanachia.

Into Rancor is unlocked after completing the final story quest, Reunion, after which you will be tasked with investigating the dark skies looming over Norgan. Satanachia is a tough secret boss with no weaknesses, resistances, or weak points, so it's best to prepare before facing it!

How to Beat Satanachia

An Empowered Satanachia Can Appear Later in Virulent and Devouring Rancors

Virulent Rancors Locations

An empowered or much stronger version of Satanachia can appear randomly in Virulent Rancors and Devouring Rancors, which are the red cyclone icons that appear in the post-game after completing Into Rancor. Defeating Empowered Satanachia can also drop Level 5 Spoils, but it is much tougher to defeat than the regular Satanachia.

Defeat Empowered Fallen Dragon

Devouring Rancor

Level 5 Spoils can also be dropped by an Empowered Fallen Dragon, a much stronger version of the Fallen Dragon. You can always find an Empowered Fallen Dragon in the Devouring Rancors at the Summit Ritual Grounds, where you fought the Fallen Dragon as the final boss during Reunion.

Similar to Empowered Satanachia, the Empowered Fallen Dragon can also appear randomly in other Virulent Rancors and Devouring Rancors and will drop Level 5 Spoils.

How to Beat Empowered Fallen Dragon

Defeat Death

Death Boss FIght

Death is a secret boss that returns from the first Dragon's Dogma. It appears in the Dark Arisen DLC through random encounters in Virulent Rancors and Devouring Rancors and drops Level 5 Spoils upon defeat.

Death is one of the hardest bosses in the series and also has an insta-kill attack, so make sure you're absolutely prepared before facing it.

What Are Level 5 Spoils?

Ancient Norgandian Equipment

Ancient Spoils

Level 5 Spoils can be appraised by Jiera in the Norgandian Settlement to obtain Ancient equipment. This is one of the highest rarity levels for Norgandian equipment available in the Dark Arisen DLC, making Level 5 Spoils particularly valuable for players looking to obtain better gear.
