Quilt Me Down a Feather
Quilt Me Down With a Feather is a quest added in the Dark Arisen DLC of Dragon’s Dogma 2 (DD2). This guide focuses on how to get a Firebird's Plume, as well as the quest walkthrough and its rewards.

Quilt Me Down With a Feather Walkthrough

Objectives
1 Speak With Aymond
2 Summon and Fight a Gagana
3 Ride the Gagana's Back
4 Wait for Aymond

For this quest, you must obtain a Firebird's Plume. You find one at the Gagana's Nest, only if you are able to ride the Gagana back to its home. It is imperative that you do not kill the Gagana in order to ride it.

You will need to ride it back to its nest, so make sure to also stock on some stamina curatives before setting out to find it.

Speak With Aymond

Aymond Location - Quilt Me Down With a Feather

The quest starts when you stumble upon Aymond in the Norgandian Settlement, as he will ask you if you have seen a Gagana in Norgan, as he is interested in its feathers. If you have finished the The Castle in the Ice quest, he will immediately ask you to seek one for him at the Gagana's Grotto.

Fight and Summon a Gagana

Gagana Location

Head to the Gagana's Grotto using its respective Portcrystal. Afterwards, summon a gagana with the Nokken ritual. Be sure to kill and burn a Nokken to initiate the summon. Simply carry it to the flame and wait for the Gagana to appear.

How to Summon the Gagana

Lower the Gagana's Health

Lower the Gagana
When fighting the Gagana, be sure to damage at least 4 health bars, or low enough that it wants to flee. Tell your pawns to Wait!, so that they do not damage it even further. From there, climb up its back before it takes off. Be sure to at least bring some stamina curatives.

Ride the Gagana's Back

Flying with the Gagana

Stay latched on during the flight until it starts to land at its nest. you can get off once it is safe.

Collect the Firebird's Plume

Getting a Firebird

Simply jump down by the nest and examine the item in the middle. You may also find a Norgan Ducat right beside it. Whether you choose to slay the Gagana or flee, you will have to meet back with Aymond.

Wait for Aymond

Return to Aymond

Return to Aymond with the Firebird's Plume. He will ask you to wait for one day by resting at the Inn. Aside from the basic quest rewards, you will be rewarded the Firebird Cloak. Its stats boast formidable resistances to Frostbite and Fire.
