Before heading to Norgan, complete the early Lost Rites Dungeons to obtain gear that are stronger than most base endgame weapons. These dungeons offer straightforward upgrades to your base-game equipment, making the early fights in Norgan much easier once you get there.
The 3 Lost Rite Dungeons that reward weapons are Devilkin Hollow, Daemon's Corral, and Sunken Spire. The rewards on first clear are fixed so after Devilkin Hollow, prioritize the dungeon that has the compatible weapon with your vocation:
| Lost Rite Dungeon | Weapon Reward |
|---|---|
| Devilkin Hollow (Vermund) |

| Daemon's Corral (Vermund) |

The other Lost Rite Dungeons reward armor and upgrade materials for these Lost Rites equipment.
All Lost Rites Gear and Rewards

The first Lost Rite Dungeons in Vermund reward weapons that, when upgraded, already surpass the best base-game options.
An example in the image above: the Archer is currently equipped with the best bow in the base game Hydra Husk, maxed out via Battahli and Wyrmfire smithing styles, bringing it to 933 Strength. The unenhanced Dread Tusk Bow you receive from the first dungeon starts off already higher at 973 Strength. The Knockdown Power is slightly lower, but again, the weapon is still yet to be enhanced.
Should You Do Norgan or Lost Rites First?

Once you reach Norgan, the new weapons available from Spoils offer significantly higher stats and unique skill enhancements that surpass even the strongest base-game weapons. Securing optimal gear in Norgan requires grinding, as obtaining specific equipment relies heavily on an RNG-based appraisal system.
Since the weapon stats are completely RNG, the best weapons in the DLC simply come from finding more Spoils and appraising them for better stat and skill combinations that suit your build.
Prioritizing these weapons allows you to quickly outclass top-tier gear purchased from the Dragonforged or obtained in the Unmoored World.

Completing the Relics of the Past DLC quest unlocks spoil appraisal at the settlement, allowing you to convert raw drops gathered from chests and defeated enemies into powerful gear. With your gathered Spoils, speak to Jiera at the camp to appraise them.
You can also choose to sell the Spoils for RC if you already have good gear.

Appraising Relics and Spoils yield randomized items and stats, forcing you to collect and evaluate multiple relics to land your desired weapons and equipment.
In general, equip whichever weapon has the better stats. If their stats are similar, choose the one with special skill enhancements that work better for your playstyle. Weapons from Ancient Spoils are usually the better choice for their additional weapon skills.

Complete the Hammer and Tongs through Hal in the village camp to unlock gear crafting, giving you full access to the forge and allowing you to refine high-level equipment if you do not have better gear from Appraised Relics yet.

The best way to farm Spoils and Relics is by defeating Beorcan enemies scattered throughout the map. These enemies appear in groups, drop Spoils, and grant substantial XP when defeated. They also have a chance to drop Ancient Spoils, which yield Superior gear.

Freki is an allied wolf you can recruit in Norgan who can sniff out Relic Piles for you to loot when fed a Scrag of Beast. To unlock her, complete the In for a Hare, in for a Hound quest in the Norgandian Settlement.

To increase your chances of obtaining loot suited to your and your Main Pawn's Vocations, visit the corresponding Obelisk of Benediction for your class and purchase the Spoils Spawn Rate Boost for 7,000 Dcp.
This buff lasts 24 hours and is essential for farming gear you can actually use for your build.
