Best Augments for All Vocations

Stamina Augments are the Universal Best

Augment Vocation Effect
Endurance Dragons Dogma 2 - Archer IconArcher Increases your maximum Stamina.
Exaltation Dragons Dogma 2 - Mage IconMage Augments your Stamina recovery speed.
Voracity Dragons Dogma 2 - Magick Archer IconMagick Archer Recovers a small amount of Stamina when you deliver the killing blow to a target.
Zeal Dragons Dogma 2 - Warfarer IconWarfarer Reduces the Stamina consumed when performing a weapon skill.

Exaltation, Endurance, Zeal, and Voracity are excellent Augments for any Vocation or build, as they help with Stamina management. Maintaining high Stamina is especially important in the late game, making these Augments valuable additions to almost any build.

These stamina-based Augments are the highest priority, even if they are not Augments from your main Vocation.

How to Unlock All Vocations and Classes

Lethality and Dominance for Physical Damage Builds

Augment Vocation Effect
Lethality Dragons Dogma 2 - Archer IconArcher Increases damage dealt when striking a target's vitals.
Dominance Dragons Dogma 2 - Warrior IconWarrior Augments your Knockdown Power.

When using Vocations that rely primarily on physical weapons, such as Warrior, Archer, Fighter, Thief, Mystic Spearhand, and Warfarer, Lethality is a must-have for increasing damage dealt to vital spots.

If you are not using elemental damage or status effects, Dominance is an excellent choice for increasing Knockdown Power. Knocking down enemies not only temporarily disables them but also doubles the damage you deal to the downed enemy.

Equip Asperity for Builds With Elemental Damage

Augment Vocation Effect
Asperity Dragons Dogma 2 - Sorcerer IconSorcerer Increases the likelihood of inflicting debilitations with your attacks.

For builds that rely on elemental damage and status effects from elemental weapons, skills, or spells, Asperity is a must-have for increasing the chance of inflicting elemental status effects on enemies.

This can significantly boost your elemental DPS, and it can be acquired early since it is only a Rank 2 Sorcerer Augment.

All Damage Types and Elemental Weaknesses

Equip Subtlety for Squishy Vocations

Augment Vocation Effect
Subtlety Dragons Dogma 2 - Thief IconThief Decreases the likelihood of being targeted by foes.

For squishier Vocations that do not fight on the frontline, such as Archer, Mage, and Sorcerer, Subtlety is an excellent choice for drawing less enemy attention and directing aggro toward your tankier allies. This allows you to use your skills and deal damage with fewer interruptions, which is especially valuable given the lower defenses of these Vocations.

For all Vocations, the Stamina-upkeeping Augments Exaltation, Endurance, and Zeal are consistently among the best choices, as maintaining high Stamina is universally beneficial for any Vocation.

The remaining Augments should vary depending on the weapon and damage type used by the Vocation. For Vocations that rely on physical damage and Knockdown Power, Lethality and Dominance should be prioritized. For Vocations that rely on elemental damage, Asperity should be prioritized over Dominance.

For Vocations that are less suited to the frontline and benefit from drawing less aggro, such as Archer, Mage, and Sorcerer, Subtlety is an excellent choice. It reduces the likelihood of being targeted by enemies, which is especially useful for these squishier Vocations.

Best Vocations and Class Tier List

Verve and Sagacity are Less Effective at Higher Levels

Augment Vocation Effect
Verve Dragons Dogma 2 - Thief IconThief Augments your Strength.
Sagacity Dragons Dogma 2 - Sorcerer IconSorcerer Augments your Magick.

While Verve and Sagacity provide a flat 30-point increase to Strength and Magick, respectively, their damage boosts become significantly less impactful once you reach Levels 20–30. For boosting damage, Lethality and Asperity are much more valuable Augments to pick.
