Free Content Update with QoL Improvements

Changes Overview

Capcom also introduces numerous quality-of-life improvements that make exploration and combat more convenient including ahead of Dark Arisen release in a free content update:

  • Hard Mode, which makes the game even more challenging and gives Double XP, but locks you into the difficulty mode once selected.
  • The Eternal Ferrystone which allows unlimited fast travel between activated Portcrystals.
  • Six Weapon Skills can now be equipped instead of four.
  • Slower stamina depletion outside of combat to make exploration less restrictive.
  • Three save slots are now available.
  • New Pawn commands, including Explore and High Five.

In addition to these major improvements, the update also includes several other quality-of-life features and gameplay adjustments, as well as various performance optimizations, bug fixes, and balance adjustments.

Dark Arisen DLC Progress Requirements

Reach Vernworth and Speak to Brant at the Tavern

Captain Brant

You're not required to beat the base game to unlock Dark Arisen's content, though you do need to progress until you reach Vernworth during Seat of the Sovran. Once you're there, speak to Brant at the tavern, and Lost Rites and the Norgan region should be available from there.

How to Access Dark Arisen DLC

Recommended Level for Norgan: 40

It is recommended that you reach at least Level 40 before heading into Norgan, as you will be facing mid-game to late-game enemies in the region.

Recommended Level for Lost Rite Dungeons: 20

For the Lost Rites, it is recommended that you reach at least Level 20 before taking them on. While manageable in the early game, these are still tough dungeon challenges, so it's best to at least have good mid-game equipment and skills before doing them.

Dark Arisen DLC Length

Around 15-20 Hours

Whirlpool

I do hope they flesh out the romance just a little. For one, I wish the game would add romance scenes for male NPCs as well (for example Glyndwr, Sven or Brant). And secondly, I'd hope for those scenes to be optional for BOTH genders. It sucks that, as a straight female with no interest in women, I have to go through a romance scene with 2 female characters just to get the best outcomes for other NPCs. I wish I could get a good quest outcome without having to romance. Also, to fix "Beloved", pls
