An Evil Eye will be located in the Mired Conduit Lost Rites, but will escape during your first encounter. After it respawns, you can do a rematch and it will fight you to the end.

All Seafloor Shrine Lost Rites, Unmoored World

Final Proving Ground.png

All Lost Rites dungeons in the Unmoored World will have an Evil Eye boss. It is recommended to do Seafloor Sepulcher first as weapons acquired in this dungeon will be able to absorb the Evil Eye's power after defeating it.

・ Endurance
・ Exaltation
・ Catalysis
・ Sagacity

Moveset and Best Skills

Take advantage of the Sorcerer's high burst damage and AOE. Using High Hagol to fully encompass the Evil Eye's body and tentacles will help immensely with quickly wittling down each tentacle.

If you want to focus on a single target, like the Evil Eye being vulnerable or a farther tentacle, use Augural Flare for these purposes to quickly deal a concentrated amount of damage, anything nearby will also get damaged.

Finally, once the Evil Eye is at a vulnerable state with its shields down or if its stunned and is lying on the ground, use High Seism or your normal attack enchanted with Exalted Bolts from a Mage Pawn to quickly deal an immense amount of damage to the main **Evil Eye.

Best Party for Evil Eye

This team composition allows you to easily take on the Evil Eye boss in the dungeon. Switch to Thief and equip the Heaven's Key to take advantage of the boss' weakness to slashing and Holy damage. With a Sorcerer, consider equipping large AOE spells across multiple elements such as High Hagol, and High Seism to deliver heavy burst damage, particularly against the Evil Eye. Pair these with Augural Flare to destroy specific weak spots or tentacles of the Evil Eye.

The Evil Eye is resistant to almost all elemental damage from spells except for Holy, but you should still have a dedicated support Mage Pawn who can apply quick shielding with High Palladium and burst healing with Argent Tonic. Make sure to slot High Halidom so you can cleanse the debilitations that the boss can inflict with its tentacles. Equipping Exalted Bolt as well aids you if you are a Sorcerer/Mage and any other with the same vocation in the party for added holy damage.

For the rest of your hired Pawns, consider getting a Fighter with Shield Drum to draw the aggro the Evil Eye and its tentacles. Consider getting an Archer as well because Archer Pawns are great as they can attack the Evil Eye when flying, and can provide burst damage if their kit has Erupting Shot and you supply them with Explosive Arrows.

Evil Eye Fight Tips

Bring Curatives and Wakestones for the Fight

Evil Eye only has a few powerful moves but what will get you is the continuous barrage of spells from its many different Tentacles and Eyes, so make sure you bring enough curatives such as Allheal Elixirs, Panaceas, and Regeneration Elixirs to quickly heal in case the boss depletes your HP.

Attack Each Tentacle Until it Falls Off

Each tentacle that attacks you whether from a portal or not is connected to its main body. Attack it along with its main body to have the tentacles fall off and make the Evil Eye vulnerable. Bring high AOE spells like High Hagol to easily damage multiple tentacles at the same time easily stopping its barrage of attacks and making it vulnerable faster.

Archers and Magick Archers have an easier time targeting the tentacles since you can manually aim your attacks, but is more difficult to do for melee vocations as you can only hit the ones that spawn near the ground.

Throw Smaller Shielded Eyes to the Main Eye to Break Shields

Occasionally the Evil Eye will spawn lesser Eyes that will also cast spells and be shielded. You will be able to grab them and throw them towards another or even the main Evil Eye to be able to break their blue shields.

Find Safe Spot for Large AOE Attacks

The Evil Eye will sometimes cast large AOE elemental spells but will have small spots where you will be safe. Look for these spots and simultaneously try to attack it as he will usually be vulnerable in this state.

Evil Eye Rewards

Main Rewards
・Stat Absorption
・XP: 200,000
・Malecryst
・Malecryst Shards

The Evil Eye usually guards chest rooms in the Lost Rites dungeons, while the Evil Eye itself doesn't drop much loot, you will be able to get loot from the chest rooms that it guards.

Apart from this, upon gaining a weapon in the Seafloor Sepulcher's final rewards using an Ephemeral Key. You will be able to absorb any Evil Eye's power to alter the stats and skills of each of these nine weapons.
