The characters all have their own Basic Attack, Battle Skill, Combo Skill, and Ultimate abilities to stand out from each other. It is important to know how a character's abilities work to get a general idea of how the combat system works in Arknights: Endfield.
The primary attack of an Operator. A character's Basic Attack is done by pressing or holding the attack button to perform a sequence of attacks.
The final basic attack sequence is called the Final Strike, which can recover Skill Points and deal Stagger to enemies.
In battle, your team shares Skill Points that naturally regenerate over time. Battle Skills consume 100 SP (equivalent to 1 SP Bar) to cast during combat.
Battle Skills do not have cooldown, in exchange for consuming Skill Points. It is crucial to be resourceful in using SPs to be able to use Battle Skills at the right moment.
Each Operator has different conditions to trigger their Combo Skill in battle. Combo Skills don't consume SP, but they have a cooldown instead before using them again.
In Arknights: Endfield, you must know the certain conditions to trigger a character's Combo Skill to deal the most damage in a sequence of attacks and abilities.
Lastly, an Ultimate can unleash a powerful strike on an enemy, provide buffs or debuffs, or enhance the character themselves. To use an Ultimate ability, hold the Battle Skill key if you have enough Ultimate Energy.
You can gain Ultimate energy for the whole team by casting a Battle Skill. You can also gain energy through Combo Skills, but only the caster of the skill will earn them.
Arknights: Endfield involves various mechanics that you can learn and use to your advantage against enemies, such as staggering, interrupting, and performing perfect dodges.
The game also has a unique Elemental system with different types of status effects. Learning about the elements and battle mechanics can change how battles will go.
Physical Statuses can influence how you would build a team in Arknights: Endfield. If you apply a Physical Status to a Vulnerable enemy, it can apply the next type of Physical Status and its effects.
An example is a full Physical team of Chen Qianyu, Da Pan, Pogranichnik, and Lifeng. Chen and Lifeng build up Vulnerable stacks with Lift and Knock Down, while Pogranichnik increases team damage via Breach, with Da Pan dealing serious damage with a Crush infliction.
Learning how to apply Arts Inflictions, Bursts, and Reactions also largely influences the core team building in Arknights: Endfield, due to powerful effects like amplifying damage taken by enemies.
Arts Infliction is a debuff applied by Operators. When you apply Arts Infliction to an enemy with Arts Infliction of the same element, this will gain a stack (up to 4 stacks) and trigger Arts Burst to deal Arts DMG after a short delay.
On the other hand, when you apply Arts Infliction to an enemy with Arts Infliction of another element, this will consume both Arts Infliction and trigger Arts Reaction. The type and effect of the Arts Reaction triggered will depend on the element that procs it.
Most enemies have a stagger meter below their HP bar that can stumble them for a short duration and increase DMG taken when filled.
Make sure to perform a complete Basic Attack sequence for Final Strikes, cast Battle Skills and Combo Skills, or apply Physical Statuses to fill the stagger meter and use it to your advantage to defeat the enemy quickly.
How to Stagger Enemies and Effects

When a red ring appears around the enemy, this indicates that they are charging a powerful skill. Use damaging skills to interrupt the enemy, cancelling their skill usage and increasing their Stagger.
Pay attention when these cues appear and react accordingly to create a window of opportunity.
How to Interrupt Enemy Attacks
In Arknights: Endfield, you can initiate a Perfect Dodge if you dash before the incoming attack. Doing so not only avoids taking damage, but also restores Skill Points and Stamina, which are essential during combat.
Some enemies will emit a red, cross-shaped glint as a visual cue of an incoming attack. However, some enemies don't show any visual cue at all, so it is also best to study the enemy's attack pattern to know when to dodge.
You can also spam Perfect Dodges when the attack is continuous, like Rhodagn's flamethrower, and still keep your basic attack sequence.
How to Do Perfect Dodge and Effects
| Role | Description |
|---|---|
![]() Vanguard |
Operators who specialize in recovering Skill Points (SP) to help teammates' skill casting. |
![]() Guard |
Operators who excel in dealing damage and in inflicting physical status effects like Vulnerable and Stagger. |
![]() Defender |
Operators who excel at counterattacking, protecting, and healing themselves and the team. |
![]() Caster |
Operators who excel at applying Arts Inflictions and Reactions onto enemies. |
Supporter |
Operators that focus on providing buffs to allies, debuffs on enemies, and crowd-control effects. |
Striker |
Operators that exploit Physical or Arts effects inflicted by other operators to deal maximum damage. |
Each Operator falls under a certain class that outlines the basics of their kit, such as Guards excelling at dealing Physical damage or Vanguards proficient at restoring Skill Points.
Examine the needs of your Operators and build around their strengths or cover their weaknesses to create a team capable of clearing content, especially in later stages of the game.

With 4 maximum members in a team, you should be building a team around a DPS character as they are the primary source of damage. Make sure to build the team based on Physical Statuses or Arts Reactions to reduce resistance or increase damage taken.
A support character further enhances a team's damage potential by supplying buffs and debuffs. You should also consider having at least one Vanguard, or SP Generator, to allow the team to perform more Battle Skills, increasing the damage output.
Lastly, ensure that the team can trigger each member's Combo Skills by meeting specific requirements to maximize the potential of each character.

The AIC will continue to expand in features and abilities as players progress through the story. As the AIC is the core gameplay mechanic for acquiring and crafting items, it is imperative to avoid neglecting the AIC early on, as it is when resources are most scarce.

The AIC Factory Plan is a technology research tree where each node represents an AIC tech. Unlocking certain nodes with AIC Indexes will unlock facilities you can use in your Outposts.
Make sure to collect Protocol Dataloggers to get AIC Indexes and complete main missions to acquire Expansion Cores to unlock the next phase in each AIC Plan.

Accessible in the AIC Factory Plan or the Operational Manual, Simulation Guides play out scenarios for using specific facilities in the Factory. It is recommended to complete these simulations to unlock relevant system blueprints you can apply to your Factory.
Although you have the option to quick-complete these simulations, it is still helpful to experience them to understand further how facilities work and to manage the AIC.

Ores are crucial for the AIC Factory as they are the source of so many facilities and AIC Products. Craft as many Mining Rigs and place them on ore mining spots to automatically mine them for you and supply enough ores in the Depot.

The best items to produce at the beginning of your Wuling factory setups are Xiranite, Xiranite Components for specific Gears found in Wuling, LC Wuling Batteries for power, and Yazhen Syringe C.

The Regional Development System is a way to develop the regions in Talos-II. Your goal should be earning Regional Development Metrics (RDM) to raise the Regional Development Level.
Raising the Regional Development Level will make various functions available for specific regions, such as increasing the amount of mineral ores you can yield and increasing the facility placement limit per area.

Sanity is the energy system in Arknights: Endfield that recovers over time until it reaches the maximum limit. We recommend spending your Sanity on Protocol Space: Promotions and Protocol Space: Operator EXP first to get materials to level and promote Operators.
You can farm for skill upgrades, weapon tuning, and weapon EXP materials second after leveling and promoting your characters. At late game, that would be the best time to start farming for Essences to boost your weapon stats.
How to Recover Sanity and Increase Limit

The New Horizons Beginner Banner is the beginner banner for all new players. The banner is beneficial for new players because you can get a 6-Star Standard Character in just 40 pulls!
It is highly recommended to reroll on the beginner banner for a chance to get a strong support or DPS character like Pogranichnik or Last Rite.
