• Each time the equipping character uses their Elemental Skill or Elemental Burst, they gain one of the following three effects in sequence: Winds of Devotion: Increases the equipping character's CRIT DMG by 56% for 10s. Winds of Defiance: Increases Stellar Swirl reaction DMG dealt by the equipping character by 36% for 10s. Winds of Plenty: Regenerates 5 Elemental Energy for the equipping character. Up to 5 Elemental Energy can be regenerated in this way every 4s. The aforementioned effects are removed and the sequence is reset when the equipping character leaves the field.

Beyond the Chrysalis is Vesna's best-in-slot weapon as she can easily utilize the three effects of this weapon as its tailor made when she uses her Elemental Skill or Burst. Additionally, it boosts her Stellar Swirl DMG even further.

Tier List and Best Characters

Universal CRIT Weapon

While the full effect can only be utilized by Vesna, almost every other Sword character that scales off CRIT can use this weapon as a stat stick.

It essentially offers a total of 100% Bonus CRIT DMG for the first 10 seconds after using an Elemental Skill or Elemental Burst, which most on-field sword characters will spend less time on their rotation, thereby reaping the full benefit.

As this is an Event-Wish exclusive weapon, you cannot obtain Beyond the Chrysalis by any other means.

Pulled this for my Clorinde, holy crit DMG, also R5 of this weapon is insane

also Durin being able to use this sword better than Mistsplitter and it actually reducing his ER requirements by a good 10%(?) , letting him focus more on ATK%/flatATK substat rolls instead of ER rolls after crits. Same thing applies for Zibai. Same thing applies with Skirk(though she can't use the ER but can absolutely trigger the CDMG buff), Chiori, Alhaitham, Ayato, Kaeya (especially if used in stellar glimmer teams), Albedo?, Keqing, DPS traveller, and even upcoming chars like Valeriy
