As a Sub-DPS A great Cryo Applicator with superb off-field damage and 100% uptime while also being incredibly simple to use, Escoffier is our brand new core member for Freeze teams. While she has a comparable personal damage as an Emilie or Chiori in their best conditions, Escoffier also provides offensive utility and healing that makes her a must-have for Freeze in comparison. You can also use Escoffier as an off-field Cryo Applicator for Melt or other Cryo reactions. Her playstyle and consistency in uptime is accessible enough to make use of her kit even outside of her intended teams. As a Support Has restrictions in having Cryo and Hydro in the team similar to Chevreuse to fully utilize her debuffs. Escoffier does have the benefit of allowing the player to substitute one Cryo or Hydro for another, and while it won't be as effective, it also wouldn't outright disable her RES Shred. She elevates Freeze teams, who are currently underrepresented and way behind our current meta. For players with Ayaka or future Freeze carries, she currently exists as both a niche and a must-have character who enables the team archetype back into relevance. We're conservatively placing her at the top of the S-tier for now until the meta shifts drastically to Cryo. |

• Simple one-button-rules-all playstyle due to her Elemental Skill being her most consistent damage tool with 100% uptime, also making her the best Cryo applicator in the game as of now. • Effective even at low investments due to her RES shred being tied to a passive that only scales with the number of Hydro and Cryo teammates. • Provides good burst healing that scales with ATK. • Elemental Skill has an alternate function that allows her to cook up 4 unique dishes. |
|||
| Weaknesses | |||
| • Essentially glued to Freeze teams as her RES shred's effectiveness drastically goes down if she is placed anywhere else. |

| General Team Comps | ||||
| Escoffier's best team, featuring Skirk. |
Another variant of Freeze, but with priority to Hydro damage. |
|||
Escoffier can be built for dealing damage thanks to Golden Troupe and her RES shred passives, indirectly increasing the amount of damage of every Hydro and Cryo member in the party.
With that in mind, building CRIT with Escoffier becomes an option, but do take note that you still want a comfortable amount of ATK% and Energy Recharge to keep her supportive capabilities enabled.
If playing her as a pure support, consider Noblesse Oblige or Tenacity of the Millelith and invest into more Energy Recharge and ATK% stats rather than CRIT.
| Stat | Goal Value |
|---|---|
| ATK | 2,000 or above |
| CRIT Rate | 60% - 70% |
| CRIT DMG | 120% or above |
| Energy Recharge | 160%~180% or above (lower with more Cryo units) |
Escoffier should primarily focus on getting as much Energy Recharge up until she reaches the goal, before investing fully into ATK, CRIT Rate, and CRIT DMG.
If you're running two or more Cryo characters in the party, her Energy Recharge requirements also lowers.
| 1st | 2nd | 3rd |
|---|---|---|
| Elemental Skill | Elemental Burst | Normal Attack |
The main talent to prioritize when it comes to Escoffier is her Elemental Skill due to its near-100% uptime and respectable damage, warranting it to be maxed out as soon as possible for higher DPS.
Afterwards, follow through with her Elemental Burst to increase the healing it provides, then finally her Normal Attack if you need to use her normally On-Field.
Escoffier can use a wide variety of Polearms depending on her use case, with Support Escoffier utilizing ER or ATK-boosting weapons like Calamity Queller or Favonius Lance, and Sub-DPS Escoffier using weapons like Staff of Homa or Engulfing Lightning.
Narrowing it down, Escoffier's weapon choices will depend entirely on which stats she is lacking from her artifact rolls, so that makes nearly every utility Polearm a good option for her.

| Best-in-Slot | Symphonist of Scents Symphonist of Scents Base ATK: 608 Bonus Stat: CRIT DMG 66.2% Skill Effect: ATK is increased by 12%. When the equipping character is off-field, ATK is increased by an additional 12%. After initiating healing, the equipping character and the character(s) they have healed will obtain the "Sweet Echoes" effect, increasing their ATK by 32% for 3s. This effect can be triggered even if the equipping character is off-field. |
| Symphonist of Scents works extremely well for Escoffier and is her best option, giving her passive CRIT DMG and an absurd amount of ATK just by going about her normal rotation. | |
| Alternative | Staff of Homa Staff of Homa Base ATK: 608 Bonus Stat: CRIT DMG 66.2% Skill Effect: HP increased by 20%. Additionally, provides an ATK Bonus based on 0.8% of the wielder’s Max HP. When the wielder's HP is less than 50%, this ATK Bonus is increased by an additional 1% of Max HP. |
| Staff of Homa provides an increase to both her HP, which gets translated back into bonus ATK, as well as a large amount of passive CRIT DMG. | |
| 4-Star | Sacrificer's Staff Sacrificer's Staff Base ATK: 620 Bonus Stat: CRIT Rate 9.20% Skill Effect: For 6s after an Elemental Skill hits an opponent, ATK is increased by 8% and Energy Recharge is increased by 6%. Max 3 stacks. This effect can be triggered even when the equipping character is off-field. |
| Sacrificer's Staff is Escoffier's best 4-star option since hits from her Elemental Skill can provide an increase to ATK by 24% and Energy Recharge by 18% under its full activation conditions. | |
| F2P (Event) | Tamayuratei no Ohanashi Tamayuratei no Ohanashi Base ATK: 565 Bonus Stat: Energy Recharge 30.6% Skill Effect: Increase ATK by 20% and Movement SPD by 10% for 10s when using an Elemental Skill. |
| This event polearm grants both Energy Recharge and bonus ATK to the wielder, which Escoffier appreciates. | |
| F2P (Craftable) | Prototype Starglitter Prototype Starglitter Base ATK: 510 Bonus Stat: Energy Recharge 45.9% Skill Effect: After using an Elemental Skill, increases Normal and Charged Attack DMG by 8% for 12s. Max 2 stacks. |
| This weapon is mainly taken for the Energy Recharge substat it provides, but does not offer much else. It is still Escoffier's best F2P option, though. | |

Escoffier's general best-in-slot artifact set would be the 4-pc. Golden Troupe that fulfills both her roles as a Sub-DPS and Support, as it offers her the highest personal DMG increase while keeping build flexibility.
If you want to specialize into her Support role however, then utilizing Noblesse Oblige or Tenacity of the Millelith could help her support her team with ATK buffs.
| Best Artifact Sets for Escoffier | |
|---|---|
| Best-in-Slot | Golden Troupe Golden Troupe 2-PC: Elemental Skill DMG +20% 4-PC: Increases Elemental Skill DMG by 25%. Additionally when not on the field, Elemental Skill DMG will be further increased by 25%. This effect will be cleared 2s after taking the field. |
| Golden Troupe is Escoffier's best-in-slot when it comes to general usage since it provides the most amount of personal damage, which is far more effective in the long run. | |
| Burst Support | Noblesse Oblige Noblesse Oblige 2-PC: Elemental Burst DMG +20%. 4-PC: Using an Elemental Burst increases all party members' ATK by 20% for 12s. This effect cannot stack. |
| If Escoffier is able to use her Elemental Burst every rotation, then Noblesse Oblige becomes an option to boost the team's damage. | |
| Support-Based | Tenacity of the Millelith Tenacity of the Millelith 2-PC: HP +20% 4-PC: When an Elemental Skill hits an opponent, the ATK of all nearby party members is increased by 20% and their Shield Strength is increased by 30% for 3s. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s. This effect can still be triggered even when the character who is using this artifact set is not on the field. |
| Tenacity of the Millelith's active will almost always be active on Escoffier due to the uptime of her Elemental Skill, making this a viable set if you're playing Escoffier mainly for her supportive capabilities. | |
| Stat Priority | ||
|---|---|---|
| Substats: CRIT DMG >= CRIT Rate > CRIT DMG > ATK% > Energy Recharge |
||
| Summary: • CRIT Rate is preferred over CRIT DMG due to Escoffier's Elemental Skill favoring consistency over big damage. • Energy Recharge can be higher on the priority list if you prefer using her Burst every rotation. |

List of Artifacts and Set Bonuses
Maximizing Escoffier's effectiveness demands putting her in a Freeze team as her RES shred potential is stunted if she is placed anywhere else.
However, that does not fully limit Escoffier's use cases, and she can still be placed into other teams as a general-use Support with shred capabilities for any Hydro or Cryo ally.
| Escoffier's Best Freeze Team | |||
|---|---|---|---|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Team Summary Escoffier's potential is maximized if solely placing her in Freeze teams with only Hydro and Cryo characters as it enables her to shred Cryo and Hydro RES by 55%. For Hydro, Furina perfectly complements Escoffier's heals and off-field Hydro application, making her a must have for Escoffier and their carries' best teams. On this note, Skirk and Vodyanitsa are the best teammates to slot in for this particular comp. |
|||
| Escoffier's Best Varka Team | |||
|---|---|---|---|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Team Summary Escoffier can also be slotted into Varka teams in a double-Cryo double-Anemo setup. Escoffier would still provide a bit of RES Shred and healing even if she's not in a Cryo/Hydro team. |
|||
| Escoffier's Best Hyperbloom Team | |||
|---|---|---|---|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Team Summary Escoffier can also function in Fridge teams with a Hydro DPS, as her shred passive already gets triggered just by themselves. Note that these teams only get 10% RES shred due to her restrictions, but should function decently as Hyperbloom is good in AoE. |
|||
| Escoffier's Best Melt Team | |||
|---|---|---|---|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Team Summary An lesser alternative yet not unusable team if you wish to make her flexible outside of Freeze. You can use a Pyro carry for Melt, typically paired with another Cryo unit like Citlali to enable at least 10% of her RES shred. |

If you hit multiple opponents with a single instance of Cryo DMG, Cold Dish stacks will be consumed based on the number of opponents hit. |

| Rating | Constellation Effect / Merits | |
|---|---|---|
| C1 | ★★★ |
• Increases Cryo CRIT DMG by 60% for 15 seconds after Escoffier uses any of her abilities. |
| C2 | ★★☆ | • Gives 5 instances of Cryo DMG from other party members a damage buff that scales with 240% of Escoffier's ATK. |
| C4 | ★★☆ |
• Increases Elemental Burst's healing up time to 100%. • Provides even more burst healing potential and energy regen that scales with Escoffier's CRIT Rate. |
With how much of a complete unit C0 Escoffier is, there are only a few quality of life improvements that you would really need for her, with C1's additional CRIT DMG increase for Cryo units being one of them.
C4 is another noteworthy Constellation to strive towards, but it is entirely optional to Escoffier's already effective kit due to how much investment is needed to get there.
Due to Escoffier's passives being a core fundamental part of her gameplay, her passives are listed here first as they make up a good bulk of her impact in most teams and accounts.
| Better to Salivate Than Medicate |
|---|
| After using the Elemental Burst Scoring Cuts, Escoffier will obtain the Rehab Diet effect for 9s: Restores HP for nearby active characters every 1s based on 138.24% of Escoffier's ATK. |
| Inspiration-Immersed Seasoning |
|---|
| When there are 1/2/3/4 Hydro or Cryo characters in the party, Escoffier will decrease the Hydro RES and Cryo RES of any opponents hit by her Elemental Skill, Low-Temperature Cooking, or her Elemental Burst, Scoring Cuts, by 5%/10%/15%/55% for 12s. |
Escoffier excels at amplifying the damage of Freeze teams in particular, as she lowers the Hydro and Cryo RES of opponents whenever she hits them with her Elemental Skill or Elemental Burst.
This RES shred appears to scale with the number of Hydro and Cryo allies she has, with a full Freeze team likely applying the max amount of shred percentage to enemies.
One thing to note is that Escoffier's RES shred talent works even if the enemy is not Frozen. She only needs to hit them with her abilities while there are one or more Hydro and Cryo members in the party, including her.
| Constant Off-the-Cuff Cookery |
|---|
| When using the Hold form of her Elemental Skill Low-Temperature Cooking, Escoffier will activate her All-Spectrum Multi-Use Cooking Mek in its Off-the-Cuff Cookery mode.
Cooking Mek: Off-the-Cuff Cookery Mode · Places the Cooking Mek on the field. The Cooking Mek can absorb elemental attacks. When the absorbed elemental energy hits a certain limit, Escoffier can convert the ingredients placed within it into wonderful food. · Escoffier needs time to purchase new ingredients, so she can only make a certain number of dishes like this each week. The number of dishes Escoffier can make resets every Monday at 4:00 AM. |
Escoffier can trigger her Elemental Skill's alternate mode by holding down the skill button, granting access to a unique cooking passive that only Escoffier herself is capable of right now.
You can generate food by deploying this Cooking Mek and treating it similar to the Parametric Transformer, striking it with Elemental Attacks until it yields either a dish that may be unique from Escoffier or a generic dish.
This mechanic was balanced out by limiting the food generation ability to 10 times per week, which resets on the same time as every weekly reset in Genshin.
Escoffier currently has 4 known unique dishes that can be made from this Cooking Mek mode, and these are the following:
| Escoffier Unique Dishes | |
|---|---|
|
|
|
|
|
|
| Normal Attack: Kitchen Skills |
|---|
| Performs up to 3 consecutive spear strikes.
Charge Attack Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to perform an upward thrust. Plunge Attack: Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact. |
| Low-Temperature Cooking |
|---|
| Behold the true meaning of "cooking"! Escoffier will demonstrate different cooking techniques when you Tap or Hold this skill, but rest assured, each of them is Fontaine's pride and joy.
Hold Attack: Activates her All-Spectrum Multi-Use Cooking Mek's Off-the-Cuff Cookery Mode. Tap Activates her All-Spectrum Multi-Use Cooking Mek in its Cold Storage mode and deals AoE Cryo DMG to nearby opponents. Cooking Mek: Cold Storage Mode Follows the current active character and fires Frosty Parfaits at nearby opponents at intervals, dealing Cryo DMG. Arkhe - Ousia At intervals, Escoffier will summon a Surging Blade when activating her Cooking Mek in Cold Storage mode, dealing Ousia-aligned AoE Cryo DMG. |
Tapping Escoffier's Elemental Skill causes her to summon a special cooking mek that follows the active character and shoots opponents with Cryo projectiles, dealing damage and applying Cryo to them.
It is worth noting that if Escoffier is in her intended Freeze team niche, the RES shred from her talent might allow her Elemental Skill to deal considerable damage to the enemies, making her a possible Sub-DPS.
Alternatively, holding her Elemental Skill allows her to put down her cooking mek. The mek must then be hit with Elemental attacks in order to charge up its meter, similar to the Parametric Transformer.
Once this is done, the mek will cook a dish without using any ingredients, making this a good way to always have consumables on the ready. This has a certain limit that resets every week on Mondays.
| Scoring Cuts |
|---|
| Displaying her exceptional knife skills, Escoffier deals AoE Cryo DMG and restores HP to all nearby party members based on her ATK. |
Escoffier's Elemental Burst causes her to inflict the area around her with Cryo, dealing damage to any enemies in the area.
However, the real use case of this ability is that it can heal all allies in the party, which allows her to fulfill the role of both a Debuffer and Healer support with her on-demand Burst healing.
