| Strengths | |||
|---|---|---|---|
|
• Chiori provides a consistent and reliable off-field Geo DMG without needing any trigger, as Tamoto is not considered a destructable Geo Construct. • Her Elemental Skill has decent range and damage multipliers which can be useful when dealing with multiple enemies. • Elemental Skill's On-Hit Passive is independent of Tamoto's attack timing, allowing for three forms of Geo DMG at maximum. • Elemental Burst has high scalings, giving her good Burst potential. • Split scaling allows for flexible substats on her build. |
|||
| Weaknesses | |||
|
• Low Normal Attack multipliers even with Geo infusion, which locks her in as a Sub-DPS before C6. • Requires C1 for more team flexibility. As C0 requires a team member who can create Geo Constructs to maximize her Elemental Skill damage. |

| General Team Comps | ||||
| Chiori's current best team, featuring Lunar-Crystallize. |
Chiori's original mono-geo team, focusing on the DEF-scaling affinity of its members. |
|||
This Chiori build focuses on prioritizing on maximizing her off-field capabilities through her Elemental Skill with a focus on Lunar teams, hence her best equipment being her Uraku Misugiri and Husk of Opulent Dreams.
She benefits from both DEF% and ATK%, but scales higher on DEF and welcomes ATK, but does not require it. If your artifacts have mixtures of both, you can still benefit from both stats without the need to hyper-optimize.
Husk of Opulent Dreams and the Golden Troupe artifact set essentially has slight differences in terms of damage output. However Golden Troupe has less conditions to set up.
| Stat | Goal Value |
|---|---|
| DEF | 2,000 ~ 2,400 |
| CRIT Rate | 70 ~ 80% |
| CRIT DMG | 160% or above |
As a DEF-based Sub-DPS, Chiori wants to max out her DEF at a comfortable level, with 2,000 being a good baseline for her.
The rest of her stats should then go into CRIT stats with an emphasis on CRIT Rate in order for her Elemental Skill to do more damage. CRIT DMG should then be maxed out as far as possible.
| 1st | 2nd | 3rd |
|---|---|---|
| Elemental Skill | Elemental Burst | Normal Attack |
Most of Chiori's output is through her Elemental Skill, which is leveled first, followed by her Elemental Burst for frontloaded DMG.
Her Normal Attacks can be saved for last or ignored since she is mainly an off-field DPS.
Simply put, Chiori prefers weapons like her signature Uraku Misugiri, Peak Patrol Song, and Cinnabar Spindle for their DEF-specific buffs or secondary stats.
For a F2P option, look for the craftable Flute of Ezpitzal as your main weapon if Cinnabar Spindle is unavailable.
| Best Weapons for Chiori | |
|---|---|
| Best-in-Slot | Uraku Misugiri Uraku Misugiri Base ATK: 542 Bonus Stat: CRIT DMG 88.2% Skill Effect: Normal Attack DMG is increased by 16% and Elemental Skill DMG is increased by 24%. After a nearby active character deals Geo DMG, the aforementioned effects increase by 100% for 15s. Additionally, the wielder's DEF is increased by 20%. |
| Undoubtedly her Best-in-Slot since it improves upon her Elemental Skill DMG and DEF, as well as her CRIT DMG by large amounts. It enhances her Normal Attack DMG as well, but Chiori will almost always be off-field that this is best used for an alternate playstyle. |
|
| Alternative | Peak Patrol Song Peak Patrol Song Base ATK: 542 Bonus Stat: DEF 82.7% Skill Effect: Gain "Ode to Flowers" after Normal or Plunging Attacks hit an opponent: DEF increases by 8% and gain a 10% All Elemental DMG Bonus for 6s. Max 2 stacks. Can trigger once per 0.1s. When this effect reaches 2 stacks or the 2nd stack's duration is refreshed, increase all nearby party members' All Elemental DMG Bonus by 8% for every 1,000 DEF the equipping character has, up to a maximum of 25.6%, for 15s. |
| Peak Patrol Song stands as Chiori's 2nd best weapon for a more supportive playstyle, but requires her to hit at least 2 Normal Attacks to trigger its supportive effects. Otherwise, it is a good source of DEF for Chiori. | |
| CRIT Stick | Primordial Jade Cutter Primordial Jade Cutter Base ATK: 542 Bonus Stat: CRIT Rate 44.1% Skill Effect: HP increased by 20%. Additionally, provides an ATK Bonus based on 1.2% of the wielder’s Max HP. |
| While the weapon itself is more of an ATK-based weapon, Chiori has scarce split-scalings and benefits from having more ATK on occasions where she is not in a Mono-Geo team, making this a viable stat stick for her. | |
| Event | Cinnabar Spindle Cinnabar Spindle Base ATK: 454 Bonus Stat: DEF 69.0% Skill Effect: Elemental Skill DMG is increased by 40% of DEF. The effect will be triggered no more than once every 1.5s and will be cleared 0.1s after the Elemental Skill deals DMG. |
| This weapon is essentially a mini-version of Uraku Misugiri but requires that you were around to get it during Version 2.3. | |
| F2P (Craftable) | Flute of Ezpitzal Flute of Ezpitzal Base ATK: 454 Bonus Stat: DEF 69.0% Skill Effect: Using an Elemental Skill increases DEF by 16% for 15s. |

With how Chiori is built, Husk of Opulent Dreams remains her best set due to it scaling high with Lunar-Crystallize, with Golden Troupe being her more general option.
Alternatively, you can achieve similar effects with 2-pc. combinations of DEF artifacts.
| Best Artifact Sets for Chiori | |
|---|---|
| Best-in-Slot | Husk of Opulent Dreams Husk of Opulent Dreams 2-PC: DEF +30% 4-PC: A character equipped with this Artifact set will obtain the Curiosity effect in the following conditions: When on the field, the character gains 1 stack after hitting an opponent with a Geo attack, triggering a maximum of once every 0.3s. When off the field, the character gains 1 stack every 3s. Curiosity can stack up to 4 times, each providing 6% DEF and a 6% Geo DMG Bonus. When 6 seconds pass without gaining a Curiosity stack, 1 stack is lost. |
| Best-in-Slot for Chiori due to her best team being Lunar-Crystallize, with this set slightly scaling higher than Golden Troupe due to Lunar-Crystallize's damage scalings. | |
| DEF Alt. | Golden Troupe Golden Troupe 2-PC: Elemental Skill DMG +20% 4-PC: Increases Elemental Skill DMG by 25%. Additionally when not on the field, Elemental Skill DMG will be further increased by 25%. This effect will be cleared 2s after taking the field. |
| Great alternative for flex-based teams. Has similar effects to Husk of Opulent Dreams and performs better if the team is inherently flex-based. | |
| Temporary | Golden Troupe x2 2-PC: Elemental Skill DMG +20% 4-PC: Increases Elemental Skill DMG by 25%. Additionally when not on the field, Elemental Skill DMG will be further increased by 25%. This effect will be cleared 2s after taking the field. Husk of Opulent Dreams x2 2-PC: DEF +30% 4-PC: A character equipped with this Artifact set will obtain the Curiosity effect in the following conditions: When on the field, the character gains 1 stack after hitting an opponent with a Geo attack, triggering a maximum of once every 0.3s. When off the field, the character gains 1 stack every 3s. Curiosity can stack up to 4 times, each providing 6% DEF and a 6% Geo DMG Bonus. When 6 seconds pass without gaining a Curiosity stack, 1 stack is lost. |
| While farming for full 4-pc. artifacts of either set, you can use 2-pc. combinations to be serviceable with Chiori while farming. | |
| Stat Priority | ||
|---|---|---|
| Substats: CRIT Rate >= CRIT DMG > DEF > Energy Recharge |
||
| Summary: • DEF is highly preferred over ATK, but Chiori welcomes trace amounts of it. • CRIT Rate is preferred over CRIT DMG due to the low frequency of attacks and the high need for consistency. |

List of Artifacts and Set Bonuses
While Chiori is essentially a flex option in this team, Lunar-Crystallize remains one of her best use cases as a secondary Lunar-Crystallize DPS that contributes to the reaction off-field.

|
Team Summary Chiori is technically the 4th slot into most teams, and can be taken where needed, especially if the team just needs bonus damage, or elements that Geo does not clash against. |
|||
Chiori functions as a flex Sub-DPS pick for most teams that are not Geo-based, meaning that she does not carry any special synergy with most units, but can work well with them nonetheless.
| Character | Explanation |
|---|---|
|
|
Support In a Double Geo set-up, Zhongli serves as the defensive half to Chiori's offensive skillset. Zhongli's pillar also fulfills the Geo construct requirement of Chiori's Elemental Skill. |
|
|
Sub-DPS Chiori and Albedo can function as dual Off-Field Sub-DPS units that bring plenty of Geo damage to any given team. When placed in a Mono-Geo team however, they fulfill a good half of the team's damage. |
|
|
Support Gorou benefits Chiori by giving her more DEF for her damage, while Chiori fulfills the role of one of Gorou's three-Geo-unit requirement for his buffs, which roundabouts to buffing Chiori again. |
|
|
DPS Itto functions as the main DPS in most Mono-Geo teams, but does not particularly have any synergy with Chiori. Regardless, Itto is still one of Chiori's best choices for a DEF-based Geo Main DPS. |
|
|
DPS Navia is an excellent frontload DPS that Chiori can work with to enable Geo resonance with. However, Chiori mainly still functions as a flex unit in most of Navia's teams. |
|
|
DPS Noelle benefits from Chiori's presence due to the bonus Off-Field DPS that Chiori can offer him. |
|
|
Support In Non-Geo teams, Chiori can benefit from Xilonen's RES shred, increasing the damage her Elemental Skill does, but otherwise not synergistic with each other if placed in a position where Xilonen cannot RES shred opponents. |
|
|
DPS Ningguang Elemental Skill fulfills Chiori's geo construct requirement and usually serves as a DEF-based Sub-DPS in Ningguang's teams. |
|
|
Sub-DPS Chiori and Geo Traveler will normally be paired together in Mono Geo teams, with Geo Traveler mainly fulfilling Chiori's geo construct requirement. |

| Chiori's Constellations | |
|---|---|
| C1 |
Six Paths of Sage Silkcraft The AoE of the automaton doll "Tamoto" summoned by Fluttering Hasode is increased by 50%. Additionally, if there is a Geo party member other than Chiori, Fluttering Hasode will trigger the following after the dash is completed: · Summon an additional Tamoto. Only one additional Tamoto can exist at the same time, whether summoned by Chiori this way or through the presence of a Geo Construct. · Triggers the Passive Talent "The Finishing Touch." This effect requires you to first unlock the Passive Talent "The Finishing Touch." |
| C2 |
In Five Colors Dyed For 10s after using Hiyoku: Twin Blades, a simplified automaton doll, "Kinu," will be summoned next to your active character every 3s. Kinu will attack nearby opponents, dealing AoE Geo DMG equivalent to 170% of Tamoto's DMG. DMG dealt this way is considered Elemental Skill DMG. Kinu will leave the field after 1 attack or after lasting 3s. |
| C3 |
Four Brocade Embellishments Increases the Level of Fluttering Hasode by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15. |
| C4 |
A Tailor's Three Courtesies For 8s after triggering either follow-up effect of the Passive Talent "Tailor-Made," when your current active character's Normal, Charged, or Plunging Attacks hit a nearby opponent, a simplified automaton doll, "Kinu," will be summoned near this opponent. You can summon 1 Kinu every 1s in this way, and up to 3 Kinu may be summoned this way during each instance of "Tailor-Made"'s Seize the Moment or Tailoring effect. The above effect can be triggered up to once every 15s. Must unlock the Passive Talent "Tailor-Made" first. |
| C5 |
Two Silken Plumules Increases the Level of Hiyoku: Twin Blades by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15. |
| C6 |
Sole Principle Pursuit After triggering a follow-up effect of the Passive Talent "Tailor-Made," Chiori's own Fluttering Hasode's CD is decreased by 12s. Must unlock the Passive "Tailor-Made" first. In addition, the DMG dealt by Chiori's own Normal Attacks is increased by an amount equal to 235% of her own DEF." |
| Rating | Constellation Effect / Merits | |
|---|---|---|
| C1 | ★★★ | • After using her Elemental Skill, Chiori summons another Tamoto on the field so long as there is another geo character in the party. |
| C2 | ★★☆ | • Using her Elemental Burst summons Kinu for 10s next to the active character, functioning like Tamoto but dealing 170% of its DMG. |
| C4 | ★★☆ | • When using Chiori's Elemental Skill and swapping to the next character, the active character's attacks can summon Kinu to deal damage every 1s for 8s. |
Chiori's constellations give her more options and opportunities to deal off-field Geo DMG, but C1 offers the best flexibility for her, and allows her to pair with other options like Navia rather than being locked to Mono Geo or a Geo-Construct character.

Setting herself apart from the cast of Geo characters, Chiori mainly scales both on her Attack and Defense Stat, so having a fair balance on both will make her a notable presence in the battlefield!

| Dashes nimbly forward with silken steps. Once this dash ends, Chiori will summon the automaton doll “Tamoto” beside her and sweep her blade updward, dealing AoE Geo DMG to nearby opponents based on her ATK and DEF.
Hold Attack: Enter Aiming Mode to adjust the dash direction. Tamoto: • Will slash at nearby opponents at intervals, dealing AoE Geo DMG based on Chiori's ATK and DEF. • While active, if there are nearby Geo Construct(s) or Geo Construct(s) are created nearby, an additional Tamoto will be summoned next to your active characters. Only 1 additional Tamoto can be summoned in this manner, and its duration is independently counted. |
| Attribute | Effect (Lvl 1) |
|---|---|
| Tamoto DMG | 82% ATK + 103% DEF |
| Tamoto Duration | 17s |
| Tamoto Attack Interval | 3.6s |
| Upward Sweep Attack DMG | 149% ATK + 187% DEF |

With her elemental skill Chiori summons her personal automaton doll assistant, named Tamoto, which makes her perform a quick dash forward to the enemy.
Tamoto assists the team by dealing supplementary Geo Damage against enemies over certain periods.
If Tamoto is active and other Geo Constructs are on field, she can summon another Tamoto and do more slashes of Geo against enemies more frequently.
Similar to Keqing and Alhaitham, Chiori can hold her elemental skill and manually adjust where she would perform her dash. You can use this to position your characters.
You can change characters while in the middle of her Elemental skill, offering more flexibility in team rotations.
| Hiyoku: Twin Blades |
|---|
| Twin Blades leave their sheats as Chiori slices with clean cuts of a master tailor, dealing AoE Geo DMG based on her ATK and DEF. |
| Attribute | Effect (Lvl 1) |
|---|---|
| Skill DMG | 256% ATK + 320% DEF |
| CD | 13.5s |
| Energy Cost | 50 |
If the battlefield gets tough, Chiori unsheathes her twin blades and deals AoE Geo damage based on her ATK and DEF stats.
| Tailor-Made |
|---|
| Gain different effects depending on the next action you take within a short duration after using Fluttering Hasode's upward sweep. If you tap the Elemental Skill, you will trigger the Tapestry effect. If you tap your Normal Attack, the Tailoring effect will be triggered instead.
Tapestry: • Switches to the next character in your roster. • Grants all your party members "Seize the Moment": When your active party member's Normal Attacks, Charged Attacks, and Plunging Attacks hit a nearby opponent, "Tamoto" will execute a coordinated attack, dealing 100% of Fluttering Hasode's upward sweep DMG as AoE Geo DMG at the opponent's location. Tailoring: • Chiori gains Geo infusion for 5s. • When on the field, if Chiori does not either tap her Elemental Skill or use a Normal Attack within a short time after using Fluttering Hasode's upward sweep, the Tailoring effect will be triggered by default. |
Tapping the Elemental Skill allows the player to immediately switch to the next character in their roster, and this skill can be performed either on the ground or mid-air.
This is often used in quickswap compositions to switch the character mid-air for a plunging attack, or to bypass the character switch cooldown and keep the rotations going.
Using your Normal Attack after using your Elemental Skill instead gives Chiori Geo Infusion, giving her a chance to stay on-field to deal some damage.
| The Finishing Touch |
|---|
| When a nearby party member creates a Geo Construct, Chiori will gain 20% Geo DMG Bonus for 20s. |
| Brocaded Collar's Beauteous Silhouette |
|---|
| When any party member is wearing an outfit apart from their default outfit, or is wearing a wind glider other than the Wings of First Flight, your party members will obtain the Swift Stride effect: Movement SPD is increased by 10%. This effect does not take effect in Domains, Trounce Domains, and the Spiral Abyss. Swift Stride does not stack. |
