Mavuika Ascension and Talent Materials
| Strengths | |||
|---|---|---|---|
• Great flexibility in team building as she can be built either as an on-field carry, off-field Pyro applicator, or both at once. • Extremely high damage scaling that can outperform current Pyro carries with investment. • Easy-to-activate Pyro application found in her Elemental Skill, which is a rarity in the context of current Pyro characters. • Requires no Energy Recharge to be able to use her Elemental Burst. • Exploration with her motorbike combines the strength of most of the Natlan tribes' exploration abilities in one character. |
| Weaknesses | |||
• Restriction on the conditions of her Elemental Burst makes her reliant on another Natlan character and may struggle without one, as their Nightsoul consumption is the most efficient way to charge up her Elemental Burst. • Her off-field application has less ticks and slightly slower procs than someone like Xiangling. |

| General Team Comps | ||||
| This is Mavuika's premium Melt Team alongside Iansan at C6 over C0 Xilonen. |
A vaporize Sub-DPS Team with Mualani as the Main DPS and benefiting from Xilonen's elemental shred. |
Mavuika shines best with 4-pc. Obsidian Codex when playing her as a Main DPS and her signature A Thousand Blazing Suns.
With that in mind, as Mavuika scales with ATK, she runs the standard ATK Sands, Pyro DMG Goblet, and CRIT Circlet as is the case with most traditional DPS.
| Stat | Goal Value |
|---|---|
| ATK | 2,000~2,500 |
| Energy Recharge | No Need |
| CRIT Rate | 40%~50% |
| CRIT DMG | 200% or Above |
| Elemental Mastery | 150 - 250 |
Ideally, you want to have a CRIT Dmg stat above 200%, and this can be achieved much more easily since it is her ascension stat. Elemental Mastery is the least of your stat priorities, but will benefit Mavuika nonetheless when she triggers Melt or Vaporize.
| 1st | 2nd | 3rd |
|---|---|---|
| Elemental Burst | Elemental Skill | Normal Attack |
As her Elemental Burst makes up the bulk of her damage during her empowered bike-mode with Fighting Spirit, Mavuika prioritizes leveling up her Elemental Burst talent above all else.
For both On-field and Off-field, as her Bike attacks scale with her Elemental Skill and Burst, you won't need to level up her Normal Attack talent.
| 1st | 2nd | 3rd |
|---|---|---|
| Elemental Skill | Elemental Burst | Normal Attack |
If used as off-field or quick-swap, both the Elemental Skill and Burst takes almost equal priority to level up as Mavuika should still use both to maximize her personal damage for all situations.
As a traditional DPS unit, Mavuika values weapons that increase her personal damage, making great all-rounder weapons that scales with high ATK and CRIT such as her signature weapon, Beacon of the Reed Sea, or Serpent Spine the best.
Other than that, Mavuika can also make use of any Elemental Mastery weapons like Mailed Flower if used for triggering reactions like Melt, or ATK weapons if you are using an Elemental Mastery sands. As Mavuika herself doesn't use energy, avoid Energy Recharge weapons.
| Best Weapons for Mavuika | |

| Best-in-Slot | A Thousand Blazing Suns A Thousand Blazing Suns Base ATK: 741 Bonus Stat: CRIT Rate 11.0% Skill Effect: Increases CRIT DMG by 28% and ATK by 20% after using Elemental Skill or Burst. This effect is extended by 2s after using a Normal or Charged Attack that deals Elemental DMG, up to a maximum of 6s. Additionally, being in Nightsoul's Blessing increases these bonuses by 75% and does not count down if the user is off-field. |
| A Thousand Blazing Suns is Mavuika's signature weapon as it is designed to compliment her entire kit. When using her burst, this weapon provides CRIT DMG and ATK buffs that are further increased when she is in her Nightsoul's Blessing state. | |
| Alternative | Beacon of the Reed Sea Beacon of the Reed Sea Base ATK: 608 Bonus Stat: CRIT Rate 33.1% Skill Effect: After the character's Elemental Skill hits an opponent, their ATK will be increased by 20% for 8s. After the character takes DMG, their ATK will be increased by 20% for 8s. The 2 aforementioned effects can be triggered even when the character is not on the field. Additionally, when not protected by a shield, the character's Max HP will be increased by 32%. |
| Beacon of the Reed Sea provides a large CRIT Rate stat buff accompanied by 2 sources of ATK buffs for when Mavuika uses her Elemental Skill and when she receives DMG. The HP stat buff does not benefit Mavuika a lot but is a nice thing to have. | |
| Alternative (Battlepass) | Serpent Spine Serpent Spine Base ATK: 510 Bonus Stat: CRIT Rate 27.6% Skill Effect: Every 4s a character is on the field, they will deal 6% more DMG and take 3% more DMG. This effect has a maximum of 5 stacks and will not be reset if the character leaves the field, but will be reduced by 1 stack when the character takes DMG. |
| Serpent Spine still remains as one of the best 4-star weapons in the game. It provides CRIT Rate as its bonus stat as well as an increase to overall DMG due to its passive, albeit the need to not get hit. The biggest downside is that you must spend actual money to obtain this weapon. | |
| F2P (Craftable) | Tidal Shadow Tidal Shadow Base ATK: 510 Bonus Stat: ATK 41.3% Skill Effect: After the wielder is healed, ATK will be increased by 24% for 8s. This can be triggered even when the character is not on the field. |
| This weapon works well for Mavuika because of its large ATK bonus stat. Considering you have a healer present in your team, you can further increase Mavuika's ATK by triggering this weapon's passive via healing. | |
| F2P (Event) | Mailed Flower Mailed Flower Base ATK: 565 Bonus Stat: Elemental Mastery 110 Skill Effect: Within 8s after the character's Elemental Skill hits an opponent or the character triggers an Elemental Reaction, their ATK and Elemental Mastery will be increased by 12% and 48 respectively. |
| Mailed flower is a weapon that focuses on boosting Mavuika's elemental reaction DMG. This can benefit her overall DPS by increasing her Melt and Vaporize DMG during her Burst and Skill. This is due to the weapon's high Base ATK, Elemental Mastery Substats, and buffs for ATK% and EM. | |

Regardless of how you plan to use Mavuika, Obsidian Codex is her best artifact for DPS, while Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City is best if she's the only potential user off-field.
While farming for these, 2-pc. combinations of Pyro and ATK sets will do until you gain a 4-pc. of one of the Natlan sets.
On paper, due to her Elemental Burst mechanics, she cannot consume Nightsoul Points while under her Elemental Burst, but it shouldn't be too much of an issue in practice as she can activate its effects before activation as it lingers for 6 seconds, which is most of her Elemental Burst time.
| Best Artifact Sets for Mavuika | |
|---|---|
| Best-in-Slot | Obsidian Codex Obsidian Codex 2-PC: While the equipping character is in Nightsoul's Blessing and is on the field, their DMG dealt is increased by 15%. 4-PC: After the equipping character consumes 1 Nightsoul point while on the field, CRIT Rate increases by 40% for 6s. This effect can trigger once every second. |
| This is Mavuika's best-in-slot when using her as a Main DPS unit. Obsidian Codex buffs her overall DMG while she is in her Nightoul's Blessing state as well as provides a massive CRIT Rate stat buff due to its 4 piece set passive. | |
| Pyro Sub-DPS | Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City 2-PC: When a nearby party member triggers a Nightsoul Burst, the equipping character regenerates 6 Elemental Energy. 4-PC: After the equipping character triggers a reaction, all nearby party members gain a 12% Elemental DMG Bonus for the involved Elemental Types for 15s. If the equipping character is in the Nightsoul's Blessing state when triggering this effect, all party members gain an additional 28% Elemental DMG bonus for the Elemental Types involved in the reaction for 20s. |
| This set is best for Mavuika when she is used as an off-field Pyro Sub-DPS unit. When she triggers an elemental reaction related to Pyro, she will buff all other characters with elements related to said elemental reaction. This is only best for her when there are no other units using this artifact set in the team. | |
| Temporary/ F2P |
Gladiator's Finale x2 2-PC: ATK +18%. 4-PC: If the wielder of this artifact set uses a Sword, Claymore or Polearm, increases their Normal Attack DMG by 35%. Crimson Witch of Flames x2 2-PC: Pyro DMG Bonus +15%. 4-PC: Increases Overloaded, Burning, and Burgeon DMG by 40%. Increases Vaporize and Melt DMG by 15%. Using an Elemental Skill increases 2-Piece Set effects by 50% for 10s. Max 3 stacks. |
| A 2-pc ATK and Pyro DMG Bonus combo can be used during the early build phase as a temporary set while you farm for more preferable artifacts. | |
| Stat Priority | ||
|---|---|---|
| Substats: CRIT DMG >= CRIT Rate >= ATK > Elemental Mastery |
| Summary: • CRIT DMG is a priority since Obsidian Codex already buffs CRIT Rate. • Pyro DMG% on Goblet still works best for her. • Mavuika has no need for Energy Recharge, allowing you to focus on other stats. |
List of Artifacts and Set Bonuses
Due to her special energy mechanic, Mavuika typically needs another Natlan character in your party to charge up her Fighting Spirit to activate her Elemental Burst, as it needs consumption of Nightsoul points. Units like Xilonen and Citlali are considered the best to have especially for her on-field role.
Other than that, Mavuika also benefits from characters that use Normal Attacks, and this makes her a good secondary DPS in comps with Normal Attack spammers to a lesser extent.
| On-Field Melt Team | |||
|---|---|---|---|
Team Summary Mavuika primarily wants Citlali when talking about the best Melt partners. Otherwise, you can still use other off-field Cryo characters like Rosaria as long as you have another Natlan character in your party. Alternate Teammates Iansan at C6 will benefit the team better than Xilonen at C0 since Xilonen's shreds do not stack well with Citlali's. Nicole and Bennett both work well as great team ATK stat buffers. |
| On-Field Vaporize Team | |||
|---|---|---|---|
Team Summary When playing her in a Vaporize team comp, an off-field Hydro character who can function for both her Normal and Charged Attacks like Furina is your best option. Alternate Teammates Characters like Yelan or Xingqiu can work if it's only Normal Attacks, but Mavuika cannot utilize them if she is using her Charged Attacks while on her motorbike. |
| On-Field Overload Team | |||
|---|---|---|---|
Team Summary In an Overloaded team, Chevreuse is the staple buffer for such teams but Mavuika will still need another Natlan character. Ororon is typically the go-to Natlan character here until we get another option in the future. Alternate Teammates Fischl can work as an additional Electro Sub-DPS. Bennett and Nicole can be used interchangeably as ATK buffers for the team. |
| Off-Field Vaporize Team | |||
|---|---|---|---|
Team Summary Mavuika serves as a reliable replacement for Xiangling on most Vaporize teams where you need Pyro application, especially with the benefit that she can run as your solo Pyro. Alternate Teammates Neuvillette can be a reliable Hydro DPS when Mualani is unavailable. Xilonen will remain as the healer and Elemental resistance shredder for the team. | |||
| Off-Field Melt Team | |||
|---|---|---|---|
Team Summary Emilie's best teams now include Mavuika as their best Pyro applicator to keep up the Burning aura to enemies. Melt or Burn-Melt team comps can typically run Mavuika to apply Pyro. Alternate Teammates Wriothesley or Ganyu can act as the Main DPS for this team, with Mavuika set at their Pyro applicator. |
| Off-Field Overload Team | |||
|---|---|---|---|
Team Summary Due to the nature of teams composing of Chevreuse in an Overloaded team, Mavuika will typically need Ororon as her source of Fighting Spirit if you wish to run such teams with her. Alternate Teammates Varesa and Clorinde can work as Main DPS units in an overload team with Mavuika as a Pyro Applicator. |
| Character | Explanation |
|---|---|
Support With Citlali's ability to shred Pyro and Hydro RES, bring respectable damage, and reliably enable Melt, she becomes one of Mavuika's best teammates simply because no one else can match her value. |
Support Xilonen offers RES shred and on-demand healing, as well as bringing an easily-fillable Nightsoul's Blessing bar, making her another core ally for Mavuika. |
Sub-DPS Furina's Elemental DMG buffs and Hydro application make her a support unit to slot in, especially if Mavuika is paired with Citlali. |
Support An upgrade to Bennett in the sense that Mavuika is no longer chained to Bennett's circle. Comes with the caveat that she must be in a Hexerei team to access her full potential. |
Support Bennett's tried and tested buffs keep him as a competitive option for Mavuika, especially with how potent his buffs are for Mavuika's ATK scaling, and the Pyro Resonance he enables. |
Support Due to the frequency of Mavuika's movement during combat, Iansan performs at a similar level to Bennett, but trades more potent ATK buffs and healing for her Nightsoul's Blessing compatibility. |
Support Chevreuse is the basis and core of nearly every Overloaded team, and performs well with Mavuika since she can slot into these types of teams. |
Sub-DPS Ororon pairs up with Mavuika perfectly in the event that she is run in an Overloaded team along with Chevreuse. |
DPS (Mavuika Sub-DPS) Mavuika pairs up well with Mualani thanks to Mavuika's Off-Field ability to enable Vaporize for Mualani, but it comes at the cost of Mavuika herself being delegated to the role of Sub-DPS. |
DPS (Mavuika Sub-DPS) Kinich works in the same cloth as Mualani where Mavuika is able to support Kinich's Burning reaction, but costs Mavuika her role as the Main DPS. |
DPS (Mavuika Sub-DPS) Mavuika and Chasca can benefit each other, with Mavuika's Elemental Burst being charged faster and Chasca's PHEC teammate with Off-Field abilities being fulfilled. |
DPS (Mavuika Sub-DPS) Varesa works with Mavuika in Overloaded teams, with Mavuika becoming a Sub-DPS whenever Varesa's main skills are online. |

| C6 |
"Humanity's Name" Unfettered The All-Fire Armaments from the Elemental Skill The Named Moment receive all-round improvements: · Ring of Searing Radiance: When the Ring's attacks hit opponents, a Flamestrider will crash into the struck opponent, dealing 200% of ATK as Nightsoul-aligned AoE Pyro DMG. · Flamestrider: When Mavuika is riding the Flamestrider, she will also summon a Scorching Ring of Searing Radiance to follow her, which will decrease nearby opponents' DEF by 20% and deal 500% of ATK as Nightsoul-aligned AoE Pyro DMG to nearby opponents once every 3s. Mavuika's terrain-crossing abilities will also be further improved. Additionally, when Mavuika is riding her Flamestrider and is not in combat, when her Nightsoul points drop to 5, she will gain 80 Nightsoul points. This effect can trigger once every 15s. |

| C1 | ★★☆ |
• Increases Nightsoul Point Limit to 120 and increases the rate of Fighting Spirit gained by 25%. • Gains 40% ATK for 8s after acquiring Fighting Spirit. |
| C2 | ★★★ |
• Off-Field ability lowers enemy DEF by 20%. • Mavuika's Normal Attacks, Charged Attacks, and Elemental Burst deal 60%, 90%, and 120% of her ATK as bonus increased DMG. |
| C4 | ★★☆ |
• Keeps the full DMG increase from her A4 Passive for the entire 20-second duration. • Further increases A4 Passive's DMG bonus by another 10%. |
Mavuika significantly benefits from her C2 especially when used Off-Field as her Pyro Ring now shreds enemy DEF by 20%, making her more of a viable Sub-DPS with increased supportive capabilities.
On-Field, it increases the DMG dealt by her Attacks and Elemental Burst, which make up the bulk of her damage, increasing both her damage floor and damage ceiling.
| Mavuika Burst Rotation | Gain Fighting Spirit using your Support abilities → Apply Cryo Infliction to Enemy → Mavuika Elemental Burst → Charged Attack → Finisher → Repeat |
|---|
This rotation focuses on setting up Mavuika's Elemental Burst to deal as much damage as possible. Start by charging Mavuika's Elemental Burst with Fighting Spirit. Once Fighting Spirit is charged and Cryo Infusion has been applied, use her burst to deal massive damage to your enemy.
Mavuika can use a charged attack animation cancel to increase her damage output by 20-30%. This DPS increase can be a significant game changer in time-sensitive endgame content such as Spiral Abyss and Stygian Onslaught.
To perform this animation cancel, you must follow these steps.
It is important to note that you can only do 2 cancels consecutively. On Mavuika's third charge attack you must let her finish her attack animation before you can use the animation cancel again.
Mavuika also has a small buffer preventing you from performing any attacks after using her elemental burst. You can cancel this buffer by preparing a charged attack during the black and white impact frame of her elemental burst, allowing you to instantly perform charged attacks without the need to wait for her burst animation to finish.
| The Named Moment |
|---|
| Calling upon her authority over "conflict," Mavuika summons the All-Fire Armaments passed down through the line of human Archons, dealing Nightsoul-aligned Pyro DMG. After using this, Mavuika's Nightsoul points are restored to max value, and she enters the Nightsoul's Blessing state. Has different forms when Tapped or Held. Tap Divine Name Unleashed: The All-Fire Armaments manifest as a Ring of Searing Radiance. The Ring follows the current active character and attacks nearby opponents at intervals, dealing Nightsoul-aligned Pyro DMG. Hold "Ancient Name Unbound": Mavuika can ride the Flamestrider to temporarily cross various terrain types and glide in mid-air. Mavuika's Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks will also be converted to deal Nightsoul-aligned Pyro DMG which cannot be overridden. When sprinting, she also deals Pyro DMG to opponents along her path. |
Mavuika's Elemental Skill has two modes that depend on whether or not she is On-Field or Off-Field.
Regardless of how it is used, using her Elemental Skill puts her in Nightsoul's Blessing.
Mavuika's Elemental Skill manifests into a Pyro ring that appears on the active character, targetting an enemy and dealing Pyro damage to all enemies in a circle around said target at set intervals.
This can be used as a way to keep up consistent Pyro applications and allow Mavuika to help out even when she is not in the spotlight.
When her skill is held, Mavuika rides her Pyro motorcycle and uses it as a weapon to run down opponents with Pyro-infused Nightsoul-aligned Normal and Charged attacks.
This will mainly be used as a way for Mavuika to defeat her opponents as an on-fielder alongside the usage of her Elemental Burst after her allies, Natlan or otherwise, have gone through their rotations.
| Hour of Burning Skies |
|---|
| Mavuika's Elemental Burst is not reliant on Energy, but instead, on "Fighting Spirit." Fighting Spirit When Mavuika has at least 50% Fighting Spirit, she can consume it all to unleash her Elemental Burst. Mavuika can obtain Fighting Spirit via the following methods: · When in combat, Nightsoul points consumed by nearby party members are converted to Fighting Spirit. · When nearby party members' Normal Attacks hit opponents, Mavuika gains 1.5 Fighting Spirit. This can trigger once every 0.1s. After using this, Mavuika gains 10 Nightsoul points and enters the Nightsoul's Blessing state. Riding her Flamestrider high in the air, she uses a powerful Sunfell Slice against opponents on the ground, dealing Nightsoul-aligned AoE Pyro DMG and entering the "Crucible of Death and Life" state. Crucible of Death and Life During this time, Mavuika's various actions will no longer consume Nightsoul points, and her interruption resistance is increased. Also, the DMG dealt by Sunfell Slice and "Ancient Name Unbound"'s Normal and Charged Attacks is increased based on the amount of Fighting Spirit she has when using the Elemental Burst. |
Mavuika's Elemental Burst has her leap into the air with her motorcycle before slamming back down into the ground and striking enemies with a circular slash from her Claymore, then improving her on-field attacks from her Elemental Skill.
This ability is similar to a previous archon who had a similar role, Raiden Shogun.
Unlike most characters in the game, her Elemental Burst relies on an energy called Fighting Spirit which is gained by your party members either consuming Nightsoul points or using Normal Attacks.
This form of energy allows her to use her Elemental Burst, and can be used already at 50%.
Nightsoul's Blessing and Burst Guide
The Elemental Burst also improves the damage of both the initial Burst cast and Mavuika's On-Field attacks depending on how much Fighting Energy Mavuika has at the time of casting.
This means that even if her Burst can already be used at 50%, it's recommended to have a full Fighting Spirit before using your Elemental Burst.
After using her Elemental Burst, Mavuika is able to increase the On-Field character's DMG dealt based on her accumulated Fighting Spirit. For the off-field role, she can use her Elemental Burst and switch out immediately to your main carryu so that the bonus applies.
It also provides the straightforward benefit of augmenting Mavuika's own DMG, further supporting her Main DPS playstyle.
Mavuika's bike is capable of climbing mountains, crossing seas, and soaring through the air, making it an all-in-one option for mobility that encapsulates most of the Natlan characters' exploration abilities except Kinich's grappling hook.
