As a Support Vodyanitsa is in a special state for her release. Being released alongside Vesna would give the impression that she is an ally made for use alongside her, yet Vodya's kit disrupts the entire process of Stellar-Swirl, which is supposedly the selling point for Vesna. What Vodyanitsa does to great effect, however, is being able to serve as another pillar for Freeze teams, which have been forgotten once again since Nod-Krai's runtime. On paper, Vodyanitsa is simple to build, only needing to stack HP on her to reap her full benefits, and functions as a mix of Kokomi and Escoffier without the CRIT debuff of the former and the personal damage of the latter. She makes up for this by having her Elemental Skill both heal allies and shred Cryo and Hydro RES from opponents, with this specific passive making her one of Freeze's strongest supports. Vodyanitsa is still able to operate in Stellar-Swirl teams due to decreasing enemy Anemo RES when she interacts with a Stellar-Vortex in play, but since she normally disrupts the flow of the reaction, only dedicated allies with built-in Stellar-Swirl kits like Vesna can fully utilize her. Since Vodyanitsa is not tied to the Stellar reaction identity that Snezhnaya is going for, she is expected to outlive most of the Stellar characters, though her uses will be considered niche since she is tied down to the Freeze hierarchy. |

The best build for Vodyanitsa is to build as much HP as possible to boost her buffing and personal damage. Naturally, you will want an HP/HP/HP setup for her in most cases.
There are cases where an HP/HP/Healing Bonus is a viable option if you want to focus more on her sustain abilities. However, they are very niche and we recommend just going full HP instead.
Energy Recharge is entirely optional if you want to weave in her Burst in the rotation.
| Stat | Goal Value |
|---|---|
| HP | 65,000+ |
Because of her A4 Passive's Quills, you want to aim for around 65,000 HP to maximize her buffs. With this, you can comfortably cap out her Hydro and Cryo DMG bonus that she can provide for her teams.
You can skip Energy Recharge since her Burst isn't necessary for her teams, and even then, it's one of the cheapest Burst costs in the game.
| 1st | 2nd | 3rd |
|---|---|---|
| Elemental Skill | Elemental Burst | Normal Attack |
Vodyanitsa's bread and butter is her Elemental Skill and should be your top priority since her RES shreds is dependent on it.
Elemental Burst can be leveled up if you want to include her Burst in the rotation. Normal Attacks is best ignored.
Hymn of the Maelstrom is her signature weapon, and naturally, her best-in-slot since it will be catered for her.
Great alternatives are Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers for its HP stat and massive buff that it can provide, and Prototype Amber for a similar reason.

| This is Vodyanitsa's signature and her best-in-slot since it will definitely have a passive that syngergizes well with her kit. | |
| Alternative | Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers Base ATK: 401 Bonus Stat: HP 35.2% Skill Effect: When switching characters, the new character taking the field has their ATK increased by 24% for 10s. This effect can only occur once every 20s. |
| HP Stats and massive ATK when switching to the next character. This is a great alternative because of the massive stats and buff it can provide, but other than that, it is a 3-star weapon that is easily accessible for everyone. We highly recommend using this, especially for F2P players. |
|
| F2P (Craftable) | Prototype Amber Prototype Amber Base ATK: 510 Bonus Stat: HP 41.3% Skill Effect: Using an Elemental Burst regenerates 4 Energy every 2s for 6s. Additionally, all party members will regenerate 4% HP every 2s for this duration. |
| Kind of similar to Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers, but it is more catered towards sustainability of your team. The energy is redundant since Vodyanitsa's Burst is not a necessity, but still a viable option all around. | |
| F2P (Event) | Ash-Graven Drinking Horn Ash-Graven Drinking Horn Base ATK: 510 Bonus Stat: HP 41.3% Skill Effect: When an attack hits an opponent, deals AoE damage equal to 40% of Max HP at the target location. This effect can be triggered once every 15 seconds. |

Tenacity of the Millelith is one of her best options, especially in Stellar-Swirl teams, for the ATK buff it can give the team on top of the HP stats. However, there are cases where a 2-pc/2-pc HP set is better just so you can reach the 65,000 HP threshold. It all depends on the team composition that you slot her into.
An alternative option for this is Song of Days Past for the healing bonus and the all-around buffs.
| Best Artifact Sets for Vodyanitsa | |
|---|---|
| Best Option | Tenacity of the Millelith Tenacity of the Millelith 2-PC: HP +20% 4-PC: When an Elemental Skill hits an opponent, the ATK of all nearby party members is increased by 20% and their Shield Strength is increased by 30% for 3s. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s. This effect can still be triggered even when the character who is using this artifact set is not on the field. |
| Tenacity of the Millelith (ToM) can give a HP% for Vodyanitsa to help her boost her utility, but more than that, the teamwide ATK buff is very appreciated, especially to teams that rely on ATK stats, such as Stellar-Swirl. If no one has this equipped on the team, we recommend that Vodyanitsa to have this. |
|
| Alt. Best Option | Tenacity of the Millelith x2 2-PC: HP +20% 4-PC: When an Elemental Skill hits an opponent, the ATK of all nearby party members is increased by 20% and their Shield Strength is increased by 30% for 3s. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s. This effect can still be triggered even when the character who is using this artifact set is not on the field. Vourukasha's Glow x2 2-PC: HP +20% 4-PC: Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst DMG will be increased by 10%. After the equipping character takes DMG, the aforementioned DMG Bonus is increased by 80% for 5s. This effect increase can have 5 stacks. The duration of each stack is counted independently. These effects can be triggered even when the equipping character is not on the field. |
| Alternative best option to help Vodyanitsa attain the 65,000 HP cap for her buffs. This is best used if another party member already has ToM equipped. | |
| Alternative | Song of Days Past Song of Days Past 2-PC: Healing Bonus +15% 4-PC: When the equipping character heals a party member, the Yearning effect will be created for 6s, which records the total amount of healing provided (including overflow healing). | A great option if you're looking to primarily make use of Vodyanitsa's sustain capabilites while also looking to buff the DPS in the team. | |

List of Artifacts and Set Bonuses
Vodyanitsa is best slotted into a Freeze and Stellar-Swirl team, as per her kit's utility. She can RES shred Cryo and Hydro and, in the presence of a Stellar-Vortex, also Anemo.
With this in mind, Vodyanitsa has a lot of synergies when paired with Cryo and Hydro units that can make use of her utility, such as Skirk and Furina. She can also be paired with Vesna or Mizuki in Stellar-Swirl teams.

| Rating | Constellation Effect / Merits | |
|---|---|---|
| C1 | ★★☆ | • Vodyanitsa can give an ATK buff based on her Max HP whenever she heals. |
| C2 | ★★★ |
• Elemental Skill attacks will give CRIT DMG buff to Hydro and Cryo DMG. • If a Wandering Vortex is present, buffs the CRIT DMG of Stellar-Swirl. |
| C6 | ★★★ |
• Further enhances C2 by applying it to all members. • Elevates Stellar-Swirl or Hydro and Cryo DMG. |
If you're planning to vertically invest for Vodyanitsa, C2 is a good stopping point to maximize the damage dealt of your team while still saving up with your primos. It can also synergize with C1 for an additional ATK buff.
Vodyanitsa's utility comes mainly from her Elemental Skill, which allows her to deal off-field Hydro damage periodically. When enemies are hit by her Skill, their Cryo and Hydro RES will be decreased.
In addition to this, Vodyanitsa can heal the active character based on her Max HP.
| The Last Djeguako Songstress |
|---|
| When the Elemental Skill Rechitativ: Sonorous Dawn is used, any Stellar Vortex on the field will turn into a Wandering Vortex instead. While the Song of Ages Past effect is active, nearby party members' Stellar Swirl reactions will generate Wandering Vortex instead. Generating or detonating a Wandering Vortex will also reduce nearby opponents' Anemo RES by 35% for 6s. Additionally, nearby party members who enter the Radiance: Stellar Swirl state while Song of Ages Past is in effect will have the Radiance: Stellar Swirl state extended by 4s. |
With her Ascension 1 Passive, Vodyanitsa's Elemental Skill can transform Stellar-Vortex into Wandering Vortex, which can shred Anemo RES when detonated.
Vodyanitsa will deal an AoE Hydro DMG with her Burst. This is amplified further if the Elemental Skill is active when doing the Burst. In this form, she can swim around waters at the cost of Stamina.
| Echoes Over the Frozen Lake |
|---|
| Holding the Elemental Skill outside of combat will cause Vodyanitsa to embody her true Water Imp form and swim for up to 10s at the cost of Stamina. Naturally, as a Water Imp, she can also move across the water's surface. Vodyanitsa will exit her Water Imp form when the Elemental Skill is used again, when the duration ends, or when all Stamina is depleted. Additionally, while Vodyanitsa can swim faster, her Stamina consumption rate is also increased. |
By holding down the Elemental Skill, Vodyanitsa can turn into her Water Imp form when out of combat.
