Stellar-Swirl is an elemental reaction in Genshin Impact that uses Anemo and Cryo with Stellar Glimmer characters to trigger an enhanced Snezhnayan variant of Swirl. See what the Stellar-Swirl reaction is and how it works, how to trigger it, and who can trigger it here!

What is Stellar-Swirl?
Reaction with Applicable Anemo and Cryo Characters

| Effect | If a Stellar Glimmer character is present in the party, Cryo Swirls will be converted into Stellar-Swirls that creates an ever-expanding Stellar Vortex that explodes after a period of time. |
Creates a Stellar Vortex
When Stellar-Swirl is triggered, a Stellar Vortex is created at the enemy's position, which explodes after a period of time, dealing Cryo DMG.
This Vortex's explosion can be triggered with repeated triggers of Stellar-Swirl within its vicinity.

To trigger Stellar-Swirl, you will need to have a Cryo or Anemo Stellar Linchpin character in the party. As of Version 7.0, both Odette and the Cryo Traveler are capable of enabling Stellar-Swirl in the team.
Following that, Sandrone and Mizuki are capable of enhancing Stellar-Swirl under the effects of their new Radiance: Stellar Swirl passive, which enables them to interact with this reaction if
Apply Cryo or Anemo Then the Other Element
Enemies must be afflicted with either Cryo or Anemo, and then applying the other element to trigger Stellar-Swirl. Do note that this also include enemies that naturally have the Cryo aura, making it easy to trigger the reaction.

Odette is the first choice that comes to mind when thinking of Stellar-Swirl since her Solo Dance Doubles and ability to enable this reaction easily fulfills the conditions of both a trigger and a Cryo applicator. In addition, Sandrone can also assist this reaction via the Radiance: Stellar-Swirl effect.
The upcoming character for Version 7.1, Vesna, is slated to be a Stellar-Swirl DPS and can trigger the reaction when she's in the party!

For the fourth slot, C6 Faruzan offers powerful offensive buffs to push Vesna’s damage to the limit, though at the cost of team sustain. Alternatively, Vodyanitsa provides a safer option with healing alongside RES shred. Your choice between them simply comes down to prioritizing peak DPS or team survivability.

This is a more F2P-friendly team featuring Mizuki, who can be easily obtained from the free character selector. For the team to function, you will need a Cryo conversion unit like Odette or Cryo Traveler.
For the sustain slot, both Diona and Qiqi work well for Stellar-Swirl buffs. For the final support, Sucrose significantly boosts team damage through her Elemental Mastery buffs, though Faruzan is the better pick if you have her at C6 for her Anemo RES shred and CRIT DMG bonuses.
