| As a Support With Genshin slowly exiting out of Nod-Krai and transitioning towards its next phase, Hexerei: Secret Rite has slowly been picking up in the endgame landscape, which has seen its latest and arguably most potent addition with the arrival of Nicole. In terms of composition, Nicole's role of being a teamwide ATK-buffer allows her to easily slot into almost any ATK-based team, and only gains more potency with Celestial Gift, a new artifact set tailor-made for buffer supports, and her specifically. On the topic of her build, her main selling point is that she can readily and easily apply ATK buffs that affects most ATK-based characters, alongside a shield that keeps them safe from damage. Since this buff comes from her Elemental Skill, it completely trivializes the process of building her, as one only needs to focus on ATK to improve all aspects of her kit. Two small but particular limiting factors in both her kit and artifact choice, is that firstly, Celestial Gift's full power is locked behind Hexerei: Secret Rite, nudging Nicole towards Hexerei teams and all its pros and cons, and the other being that her buff is teamwide, but not as potent as hypercarry buffers like Bennett. This means that her best use case are in teams with either mulitple DPS units like Burning teams, or multi-purpose units like Durin, who can both damage and buff. |

| Strengths | |||
|---|---|---|---|
|
• Carries ATK buffs for the team that is not tied to base ATK or snapshotting, allowing this buff to grow even higher when placed with more buffer allies. • This ATK buff also carries along a shield that scales off the same stat, giving both buffs and sustain in one go. • Nicole's buffs are teamwide, and benefits multi-DPS comps even more since off-field allies can enjoy this power spike. • Entire kit scales with ATK, and main benefits are tied to her Elemental Skill. This trivializes the building process for her since all she needs is ATK. |
|||
| Weaknesses | |||
|
• Before C2, her buffs are a sidegrade in hypercarry teams where only one character is the sole DPS. • Her full potential is locked behind her artifact set, which is locked behind the Hexerei: Secret Rite mechanic. This requires her to be in a team with Hexerei members before C6. |

| Nicole's Best-in-Slot Hexerei team. |
Alternate Hexerei-enabled Overload team for Nicole. |
|||
Nicole is fairly easy to build, since she only wants to build as much ATK as possible to amplify her Shield and ATK-buff capabilities. It’s natural to have ATK%/ATK%/ATK% on all necessary artifacts to reach the proper threshold.
Most of her utility comes from her Elemental Skill. However, there are cases where you can use her Elemental Burst, mainly on Hexerei teams. In cases like these, you can prioritize Energy Recharge as a substat when her Burst becomes worth using, but still not above ATK.
| Stat | Goal Value |
|---|---|
| ATK | 3,000~4,000 |
| Energy Recharge | Around 170% (Double Pyro) Around 150% (Triple Pyro) |
| CRIT Rate | Around 40-50% (if using Fav) |
Nicole is expected to stack as much ATK as possible in a team, so bringing your ATK to above 3,000 is a good baseline.
If Nicole follows the same energy cost as most recent units, she is expected to want around 150 ~ 170% Energy Recharge to have her Elemental Burst ready off-cooldown.
As for CRIT Rate, this should only be considered if Favonius Codex is her weapon of choice.
| 1st | 2nd | 3rd |
|---|---|---|
| Elemental Skill | Elemental Burst | Normal Attack |
Nicole's Elemental Skill takes priority to level up, as that is the meat of her playstyle, by providing the shield and buffs. Elemental Burst will likely have value within Hexerei DPS teams, so it can be leveled up after Elemental Skill.
Normal Attacks can be left ignored, as Nicole is primarily off-field.
Nicole's main stat priority when it comes to weapons is ATK, and her signature weapon, Angelos' Heptades, is her best-in-slot by virtue of being her debut-adjacent weapon.
Other than that, Starcaller's Watch for the DMG buff despite having low Base ATK, and Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers is Nicole's best 3-star option for the massive buff for her on-fielder.

| Best-in-Slot | Angelos' Heptades Angelos' Heptades Base ATK: 741 Bonus Stat: ATK 16.5% Skill Effect: ATK is increased by 12%. The equipping character may trigger this effect even when they are an off-field. Hexerei: Secret Rite: When your own Hexerei characters in the party are off-field, they can still gain 50% of the DMG Bonus provided by "Pathfinder's Light." |
| Angelos' Heptades brings a passive that synergizes specifically with Nicole's shield-creation ability since it provides bonus ATK to the active character while Nicole's shield is up. | |
| Alternative | Starcaller's Watch Starcaller's Watch Base ATK: 542 Bonus Stat: Elemental Mastery 265 Skill Effect: Increases Elemental Mastery by 100. Gain the "Mirror of Night" effect within 15s after the equipping character creates a shield: The current active party member deals 28% increased DMG to nearby opponents. You can gain the "Mirror of Night" effect once every 14s. |
| Despite not providing an ATK stat for her buffs, the DMG buff it provides can more than justify using it. Do note that to only use this if you have enough ATK for Nicole already. | |
| More Base ATK | Skyward Atlas Skyward Atlas Base ATK: 674 Bonus Stat: ATK 33.1% Skill Effect: Increases Elemental DMG Bonus by 12%. Normal attack hits have a 50% chance to earn the favor of the clouds, which actively seeks out nearby enemies to attack for 15s. Dealing 160% ATK DMG. Can only occur once every 30s. |
| You pretty much only want this for the High Base Attack. Its effect cannot provide anything other than bonus personal DMG for Nicole, which is underutilized on her. | |
| F2P (Event) | Oathsworn Eye Oathsworn Eye Base ATK: 565 Bonus Stat: ATK 27.6% Skill Effect: Increases Energy Recharge by 24% for 10s after using an Elemental Skill. |
| Provides a Massive ATK stat for Nicole's buff and alleviates her ER needs when she uses Skill. However, this weapon is only available during 2.5, but is not much of a better option compared to others. |
|
| F2P (Gacha) | Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers Base ATK: 401 Bonus Stat: HP 35.2% Skill Effect: When switching characters, the new character taking the field has their ATK increased by 24% for 10s. This effect can only occur once every 20s. |
| The best free-to-play option for Nicole. While it does not provide enough ATK for Nicole's buff, it is more than compensated for by the immense buff that it provides on her DPS. Do note that Nicole must be the second-to-the-last unit to go before switching to her on-fielder to make use of the buff. |

Celestial Gift is Nicole's Best-in-Slot due to how it is nearly mandatory for her buffs to be potent.
If you find yourself in a situation where another character wants Celestial Gift, you can opt to use Noblesse Oblige or Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City.
However, we highly recommend that you use Celestial Gift, as the set is too good for her and benefits most of her teams.

If both characters have the same Elemental Type, these bonuses will not stack. |
| In most teams, Nicole grants the party a 20% Pyro DMG Bonus, and a 40% Pyro DMG Bonus in Hexerei teams. Considering her use cases, this is her best set and can be utilized by a great number of Pyro allies. |
|
| Hexerei | Noblesse Oblige Noblesse Oblige 2-PC: Elemental Burst DMG +20%. 4-PC: Using an Elemental Burst increases all party members' ATK by 20% for 12s. This effect cannot stack. |
| You would usually only want this if another character is already on Celestial Gift. Mainly used for the massive ATK buff it gives when using Burst. This set is usually applicable for Hexerei teams. |
|
| Niche | Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City 2-PC: When a nearby party member triggers a Nightsoul Burst, the equipping character regenerates 6 Elemental Energy. 4-PC: After the equipping character triggers a reaction, all nearby party members gain a 12% Elemental DMG Bonus for the involved Elemental Types for 15s. If the equipping character is in the Nightsoul's Blessing state when triggering this effect, all party members gain an additional 28% Elemental DMG bonus for the Elemental Types involved in the reaction for 20s. |
| Very niche alternative that can provide a fraction of what Celestial Gift offers. Similar to Noblesse, you only use this if another character is already on Celestial Gift. We highly suggest farming for Celestial Gift, and consider this a very niche viable option. |

| Stat Priority | ||

| Substats: ATK%>Flat ATK>Energy Recharge |

| Summary: • Nicole's buffs scales with her ATK and it is imperative to stack it as much as possible. • Energy Recharge can be substituted on Sands if Energy needs haven't been satisfied yet. Do note that this is mostly applicable for Hexerei teams. |
||
List of Artifacts and Set Bonuses
While Nicole's best teams are generally Hexerei DPS teams, she can still be slotted in most teams that are primarily ATK scaling and can still find success, sometimes more success than her supposed best team archetype.
You will want to pair her with another off-field Hexerei, like Durin and Fischl, to have the Hexerei Resonance. However, she can still function as a general ATK buffer for most cases.

Team Summary Hexerei teams are Nicole's best use case, but not limited to. Varka, Venti, Klee, and Lohen can make use of her Elemental Burst because of their status as a Hexerei Main DPS, while Prune can take Venti's place for a more streamlined Hexerei comp focused on a singular DPS being amplified. Alternate Teammates In addition, she can also serve alongside Durin in Hexerei-proxy teams with other characters like Mavuika, providing a similar level of effectiveness. Since the last slot is also a flex slot, Citlali can be placed into teams when Lohen is the main DPS. |

|
|

|
|
|
Team Summary Overload teams can greatly benefit from her buffs, as most of them are attack scalers, especially Pyro DPS like Arlecchino. However, Electro DPS Overload teams can be a bit tricky because of how valuable Fischl and Iansan are, and the lack of off-field Pyro application can make it difficult to trigger Overload, so it's best to keep this in mind. Alternate Teammates It's also important to note that Chevreuse is still a lot more valuable than her in Overload teams. This creates a tight team-comp restriction because using Nicole means you want to have the Hexerei bonus up, but you also don't want to have to give up Chevreuse in most cases. |

Team Summary Kinich now has a new best team with Nicole's release. Since Kinich is the premier Burning DPS, Nicole sees a lot of value in providing shields to prevent continuous damage from burning, and of course, her buffs provide a lot of damage for his team. Alternate Teammates If really required, Iansan can be swapped for Emilie in this comp if you need more Dendro application. |

| Character | Explanation |
|---|---|
|
|
Main DPS These characters can benefit a lot from Nicole's buffs and Hexerei resonance, as they're considered Hexerei DPS. Nicole has a good place for each of these characters, able to provide ATK boosts that skyrocket their own damage. |
|
|
Sub-DPS Nicole can give a lot of ATK to Prune because of her Elemental Skill, which in turn can make Prune's buff more potent. |
|
|
Sub-DPS Because of her teamwide buffs, Durin's off-field capabilities are much more potent than ever. This potency is even more emphasized when both units are fully invested since they can benefit from each other's buffs. |
|
|
Main DPS Benefits a lot from her shield ands buffs since all of them scale off of ATK, with notable mention to Kinich since her shield completely counters the innate disadvantage of self-damage during Kinich's Burning Rotation. |
|
|
Main DPS Nicole can slot into Overload teams with Arlecchino, Clorinde, or Raiden due to the immense comfort she can bring, especially since these three are DPS units that value having as much uninterrupted DPS times as possible. |
|
|
Main DPS As a Stellar unit, Sandrone can benefit a lot from what Nicole offer, as Stellar damage mainly scales with ATK stats. Other than that, Nicole's shield offers comfort for Sandrone to use her Charged Attack uninterrupted |
|
|
Support While being considered the upgraded variant of Bennett, Nicole and Bennett can work in niche situations where ATK needs to be boosted to unnatural values. |

| Nicole's Constellations | |
|---|---|
| C1 |
"Do Not Be Afraid, Child Who Is Loved" When the current active character of your own in the party hits an opponent, an additional special "Arcane Projection: Unity" will be summoned to perform a Coordinated Attack against the opponent, dealing AoE Elemental DMG of the character's corresponding Elemental Type at 600% of their ATK. This DMG will be considered as having been dealt by the corresponding character. This effect can trigger once every 6s. |
| C2 |
"I Will Guide You and Show You the Path You Should Tread" Enhances the effects of the Elemental Skill Revelation: Uncreated Light: Grace of Kenosis increases ATK by an additional 300 (which does not count toward this effect's ATK Bonus limit), while Guidance of Theosis decreases nearby opponents' Elemental RES based on the corresponding character's Elemental Type by 25%. This effect does not stack for the same Element. Additionally, when Nicole unleashes her Elemental Skill Revelation: Uncreated Light, nearby active party members will also gain a Shield of Blazing Light. |
| C3 |
"A Lamp by Your Side, A Light to Shine the Way" Increases the Level of Revelation: Uncreated Light by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15. |
| C4 |
"Whether Left or Right, No Matter Which Way You Turn" When nearby party members have their Grace of Kenosis upgraded to Guidance of Theosis, Nicole also bestows upon them the Pathfinder's Blessing effect for 20s. Each character can gain this effect once every 16s. The Normal Attack, Charged Attack, Plunging Attack, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst DMG of characters with Pathfinder's Blessing is increased by 70% of Nicole's ATK. This effect will be removed once it has taken effect 8 times or when its duration is over. When multiple opponents are hit at once, instances of Pathfinder's Blessing are consumed equal to the number of opponents hit. Each character's Pathfinder's Blessing is counted independently." |
| C5 |
"You Will Hear My Voice Beside You" Increases the Level of Revelation: Ladder of Divine Ascent by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15. |
| C6 |
"This Is the Path, Walk It Without Delay" When Nicole's Grace of Kenosis is upgraded to Guidance of Theosis, all nearby party members' Grace of Kenosis will also be upgraded to Guidance of Theosis. Once upgraded, Guidance of Theosis will no longer revert to Grace of Kenosis. Additionally, DMG dealt by characters with Guidance of Theosis will ignore 40% of opponents' DEF. |
| Rating | Constellation Effect / Merits | |
|---|---|---|
| C1 | ★★☆ | • Creates an independent instance of Arcane Projection that deals AoE DMG according to the active character's element. The only requirement for activation is that Nicole must be in the party. |
| C2 | ★★★ |
• Gives a flat 300 ATK bonus, allowing you to go past the maximum threshold if available. • Decreases enemy RES by 25% according to the character's element. • Nicole's shield now applies to Co-Op allies. |
| C4 | ★★☆ |
• When Nicole's buff is enhanced, applies Pathfinder's Blessing to all active characters, increasing 8 instances of DMG dealt by all their attacks by 70% of Nicole's ATK. • Works in Co-Op, Pathfinder's Blessing is applied to every active character with independent instance count. |
Nicole's C2 is no doubt her best constellation since it allows her to go past her buffing limit, or meet it easier. In addition, it decreases enemy RES, which accumulates to even higher damage when combined with Nicole's buffs and Celestial Gift.
Lastly, it gives her more use in Co-Op since her shield and all its effects now applies to Co-Op allies.
Nicole's kit revolves around giving buffs and off-field support to her party members, as well as providing a shield. She's likely meant to support Hexerei DPS characters such as Varka or Lohen!
Nicole's Elemental Skill deals AoE Pyro DMG, applies Grace of Kenosis to nearby party members, and creates a Shield of Blazing Light. Grace of Kenosis increases ATK by a certain amount.
Nicole's passive talent, Methexis, upgrades the Grace of Kenosis into Guidance of Theosis applied to a character when they are on the field for more than three seconds. This further increases the character's ATK.
When Nicole uses her Elemental Burst, she deals AoE Pyro DMG and will summon an Arcane Projection. When this is active and the on-fielder is a Hexerei character, an active character's attack will trigger an Arcane Projection whenever it hits an opponent, dealing AoE DMG depending on the active character's element.
Nicole's Witch's Homework passive further increases the damage dealt by Arcane Projection when triggered by other Hexerei characters.
When this is active, the arcane projection will take the form of the on-fielder who triggered it.
When Nicole uses her Charged Attack while out of combat, her passive talent Nepsis activates, producing a Seelie that leads you to nearby treasure similar to a Treasure Compass!

Columbina
|
Oh, we kept in touch until a short while ago. I asked her to recommend some books for me to read to the kuuhenki. She sent a whole lot and even gave me detailed explanations about the inspiration and setting for each one. I asked her when I might be able to read a book she had authored herself, but then I suddenly stopped hearing from her. Perhaps... she went off to write one. |
Skirk
|
I wonder if becoming human was an evolution or regression to her? How did it feel, witnessing the self-destruction of her species firsthand? I considered asking her these questions when we first met, but... given her personality, I thought better of it. I think I'll just leave her alone to work on her sculptures. |
Varka
|
There's a lot of things I'd like to learn from Nicole. With her incredible sense of direction, I'd never have to worry about getting lost on an expedition. And that telepathic communication ability would be really handy for sending covert messages across the battlefield... What's that? Waste of an angel's powers? Hey, they're very practical applications! |
| Character | In-Game Thoughts |

Albedo
|
About Albedo In another converged possibility, Albedo was the ''Primordial Human'' who traveled through worlds, recording and creating all. However, once that journey reached its end, no one would have been able to guarantee whether he would choose destruction or salvation. Luckily, you're the one who embarked on the journey this time. Hm? How did the alternate Albedo fare? I can no longer observe that possibility. Besides, copying someone else's answer is of little use. This journey is your own. |
Alice
|
About Alice Encounter: Back then, after I sacrificed most of my knowledge, power, and ultimately my voice to maintain a human form, I spent the long, meandering days in listless wandering. Until I met Alice, and she corrupted me. Daughter: In truth, it's not that I'm any smarter than the other angels. I chose to offer up my voice back then because, well... How does that saying go? ''Fortune favors the bold''? The heavens demanded silence and punishment, so I thought a lifetime of voicelessness could be a good bargaining chip. Alice had quite an interesting remark after hearing about it all. She said, ''The daughter of the sea offered up her voice to gain legs, the children of the air did the same to gain form, and now the daughter of the heavens sacrificed her voice to become human.'' |
Durin
|
About Durin I've been Anya's fan since the beginning. I love all her stories. So, of course, I cannot wait to see how this final, ever-evolving masterpiece of hers is going to unfold — and I will protect it at all costs. |
Fischl
|
About Fischl Hmph, I'm the one who deserves her admiration. The book was my idea to begin with. All Mr. Nine did was refine it, polish it, and... actually write it all out. |
Klee
|
About Klee Klee is adorable. But Alice is worried I might have a bad influence on her brain development, so she doesn't let me speak in her head. Do you think that makes me seem weird to Klee? Ask her for me next time, will you? And put in a good word! |
Mona
|
About Mona So, for some strange reason, Mona and Barbie are still refusing to meet face to face, and their only contact is through letters? Well, I suppose it's understandable. It wasn't until after Rhinedottir turned twenty that I actually met her in person. Alice said it wasn't convenient for Khaenri'ahns to come and go, so she brought letters back and forth instead. |
Prune
|
About Prune Alice said she sent that little Witch Hunter on her quest ''because it makes life more entertaining.'' She warned me to be careful not to get caught, but this little girl sounds like quite an interesting child. If she actually manages to find me, I think it would be fun to go treasure hunting together. |
Yae Miko
|
About Yae Miko It's such a shame that Yae Publishing House wasn't around during Anya's era of writing. I don't think commercial writing is at odds with Anya's style at all. I'm sure Miss Yae cares about the business side of things, but her personal taste is what drives her success. At the very least, she doesn't confine authors to a box or mass-produce a single trope until something more popular comes along. She focuses on introducing things that are new and fresh. |
Zibai
|
About Zibai Um, I'd rather us... not meet, actually. It's not that I dislike her, it's more of a... complex on my part. Kinda like how a weak student feels running into the top of the class. The older angels loved to talk about the exceptional young woman from the neighboring area with ties to the Archangel. Safe to say, Zibai's name came up a lot. |
