Project Moongazer is the third subquest of the Moon Gazing quest chain in Genshin Impact Luna VIII. See the execute Project Moongazer choice, how to investigate the control room on the left, and dodge the high energy blast in this guide!

How to Unlock Project Moongazer
Complete Visitors From the Stars
The Project Moongazer unlocks after completing the Visitors From the Stars World Quest. It is the continuation to the Moon Gazing quest chain, so it will begin automatically after completing the prior quest.

Project Moongazer Walkthrough
Go to the Reverse Side of the Moon
Talk to Columbina once you are ready to go to the reverse side of the moon. After talking to her, she will automatically teleport you to the destination.
While floating in the air, you can move around, and avoid the searchlights and floating orange bombs.
Move Deeper Into the Base
Move deeper into the base by shooting an Archaeoulune Ripple into the searchlights' vision to distract them. Go inside and reach the Terminal once the lights are busy with the Ripple.
Do not click the button again after shooting the Ripple, or the searchlight will quickly focus on you again.
Try to Shut Off the Security System Up Ahead
Head for the door on the lower left side of the main hall without alerting the searchlights. The easiest path is jumping on the middle of the hall and timing your sprint straight to the lower left side door.
Investigate the Control Room on the Left
Upon entering the room, you can simply wait for the searchlights to move away from the door on the other end of the room. It may take some time, but once the searchlights are not focused on the door, you can easily go through.
Once through the door, climb up the stairs to the left. At the top, you need to fight a Precursor's Secret Source Matrix of Overseer Network. Upon defeating it, you can access the elevator at the middle of the room.
Shut Off Both Security Control Devices Within the Time Limit
After the initial cutscene, you will have a 90 seconds to reach the other room to turn off the security control devices. Quickly head out the door on left side and go forward to the other room.
There will be searchlights along the path, but they are easy to avoid by sprinting through them. At the second room, use Archaeolune Energy to lift the debris on the right side by the door and interact with the security control device underneath.
The 90 Second Timer is Slow, So No Need to Rush
The 90 second time limit within this objective is very slow to count down, so you can take your time to avoid the searchlights, and remove the debris.
Continue Onward
Go through the path behind the unlocked door, where there are a lot of searchlights. The best way to go through is to absorb Archaeolune Energy from the pearls nearby to get increased jumping. Then, jump up in the air, then glide down until you reach the Terminal at the bottom of path
Find a Way to Pass Through the Zone Sealed Off by Searchlights
After the cutscene, follow the path towards the left until you reach a hallway full of searchlights. To pass through the hallway, activate the mechanism at the start of the hallway, and wait for the crate to move past.
While the crate is moving, use it as a cover to hide from the searchlights. You will need to move from right, left, and behind the crate to avoid the searchlights. If you get caught, you can start the mechanism to call another crate.
Continue Onward
At the end of the hallway, go through the door with the barrier. You can put a hole in the barrier by shooting an Archaeolune Energy ball and exploding it near the door.
Find A Way Through The Sealed Zone
Once past the barrier door, use the Archaeolune Energy from the spheres around the area to jump around the platforms to reach the door on the far end.
The searchlight at the end of the room can be distracted by shooting a ball across its light.
Look For Clues in the Research Lab
Once inside the research lab, go to the hallway at the right side, where a luxurious chest can be found. Interact with the terminal at the end of the right hallway for the clue.
Head Toward the Moon's Core
Go back to the middle of the research lab to use the elevator to go to the moon's core. Once you reach the floor, go towards the arch and waterfalls.
When you're near the waterfalls, a Hypergravity state will occur. You will need to repeatedly press the button that will prompt on your screen during this state. After conquering the Hypergravity, go to the waterfalls to meet with Columbina
Follow Columbina Into The Moon's Core
Walk forward to follow Columbina to the moon's core. Once in the middle, you will need to jump down. Afterward, it will teleport you to the core below.
Advance Down to the Correct Path
Continue walking forward towards the core. The correct path is the little opening between the huge circles. You will need to pass through multiple circles until you reach the end.
Open the Way to the Moon's Core
After going through the circles, head to the platform in the middle of the last area. Then, insert the key to trigger a cutscene.

For the first phase, you need to extract Archaeolune Energy from the blue and yellow spheres that will spawn around the area. Then, shoot a ball towards one orange orb within the circle at the middle. You only need to destroy one orange orb, as you will destroy the other two during the second phase.
For the second phase, you need to pass through barriers while floating in the air. Once you reach the guardian at the end, extract Archaeolune Energy from the floating blue and yellow spheres. Then, aim for the remaining two orange spheres within the circle in the middle.
Dodge the High-Energy Blast
During this objective, immediately stick to the sides of the wall to not get hit by the high-energy blasts. Once the blast is done, move towards where the blast is coming from. After you reach the end, use a Archaeolune Energy ball to stop the blasts.
A warning will show up on your screen that a high-energy blast is about to occur. Once that happens, stick to the side and wait for the blast to stop.
Break Hypergravity Limit
After breaking the high-energy blast, approach the mechanism in the middle. You can break the Hypergravity Limit by repeatedly pressing the button that will prompt on your screen. You will need to this until you a cutscene occurs.
The cutscene is very lengthy and it will lead you to the end of the Moon Gazing quest chain.
Execute Project Moongazer
Both of the choices does not matter if you should execute Project Moongazer. Choosing either options still progresses the quest and gives the same ending.

Unlock Traveler's Crater
Completing Project Moongazer quest unlocks the Traveler's Crater! You can accees it at the Nuur Stone Circle, at the right side of the Frost Moon map.
How to Get to Traveler's Crater
Additional Columbina Cutscene at Traveler's Crater
After completing the Project Moongazer, you can use the high-speed transit station at Nuur Stone Circle can be used to go to the Traveler's Crater.
There, you will find Columbina staring at the Traveler's old spaceship. Then, a cutscene will occur where you will reminisce your time together, similar to what happened in the end of Welkin Moon's Homecoming Archon Quest.
