The Sunny Summer Fontinalia event's phases and quests (Should We Meet Again, Those We Have Lost, and Those We Have Kept) are not time-gated and can all be unlocked from day 1. This event was released with the launch of Version 6.7 and lasts until the end of the update.

How to Play Sunny Summer Fontinalia
Manage the Aquarium at the Fontinalia
During the Fontinalia Film Festival, you will manage the facilities at the newly opened aquarium aboard The Wingalet, Wriothesley's airship featured in the Chapter 4 Act 4 Archon Quest, Cataclysm's Quickening.
The airship-turned-aquarium has three minigames: the Operation Deep-Dive Treasure, Curio Ledger, and Kaleido-Catch!
Permanent Event Quest
Similar to the 2026 Lantern Rite, the event quest for the Sunny Summer Fontinalia is permanently available after Version 6.7 Luna VIII. The event minigames itself are only available during the event's duration.
Collect Treasures and Creatures in Operation Deep-Dive Treasure
Head underwater and find collectibles and rare creatures in Operation Deep-Dive Treasure. Each stage will contain different collectibles to find, creatures to fight and capture, and even potions.
These collectibles will mostly either be found on the open sea floor, or inside chests with unlock conditions ranging from clearing the creatures around them, cutting through vines, or just being close enough to open them.
Operation Deep-Dive Treasure Event Guide
Manage Your Inventory
You will have limited inventory when collecting treasures and creatures, meaning you will have to manage the space wisely!
This can also be alleviated by investing into more inventory space in the Marvelous Abilities tab.
Use Xenochromatic Powers to Stun Creatures
Over the course of the level, you will need to take out a good chunk of the living aquatic creatures residing in the area, since they will be your main source of income.
Make use of Fontaine's Xenochromatic Fontemer powers to stun enemy creatures and collect them for your aquarium. These powers work similar to the Xenochromatic Fontemer Abilities in the overworld, but can be upgraded via the event's Marvelous Abilities tab.
Be Careful of Enemy Attacks
Enemies in this minigame fight back, and are capable of downing your character. Once you lose all your HP, you are forced to surface and abort a mission with only a portion of your findings.
Avoid enemy attacks as much as possible and make use of your Xenochromatic powers and their range to keep yourself in safe positions.
Sell Your Treasures at the Curio Ledger
At the Curio Ledger, you will open a souvenir shop and sell the collectibles you found in Operation Deep-Dive Treasure.
You will need to stand by the counter and sell your items to passerbys that take interest in what you have in possession. This minigame continues until you run out of time or until you run out of items.
Place Items Where Customers Are Standing
When customers pass by your stall, an exclamation mark will appear on their head if they take interest in any of the items in your possession, and will walk up to you.
Once they approach, they will ask for the item that you've displayed, indicated by the speech bubble. Walk towards that part of your stall until the item area glows, then press the designated button to sell to them.
Take note that you are selling an item one at a time, so if they ask for 5 pieces of a certain object, you will need to press the button to sell it 5 times.
Customers Will Ask For Non-Displayed Items
Sometimes, customers will approach your shop, but will ask for an item currently not up for display.
You must open your inventory while standing on the item area they are standing on and swap to the correct item accordingly in order to sell it.
Do Not Let Customers Get Impatient
Each customer has a patience limit, meaning you will need to cater to their requests as fast as possible, or else they will leave, preventing a sale.
Go Fishing in Kaleido-Catch
Cast fishing nets and catch fish to get points in the Kaleido-Catch event! You need to use different sizes of fishing nets, and your total points for the stage depend on the size and amount of fish you catch.
Choose Between Small, Medium, and Large Nets
The minigame essentially boils down to you choosing the appropriate net to catch the appropriate fish, similar to the Invasive Fish Wrangler event.
Use Small nets for Small fish, Medium nets for Medium fish, and Large nets for Large fish. The minigame ends once the level time has elapsed.
Use Earnings to Upgrade the Aquarium
The earnings you get from the minigames and managing the aquarium can be used to upgrade the facilities, gain buffs in the minigames, and earn more rewards using the event's Marvelous Abilities tab.
Most of the upgrades and unlockables in this tab will be bought using your Funds, which will be earned via the three minigames above.
