Complete the Where Flowers Awaken Quest
To unlock A Divergence Leading to Oneself, you must have completed the previous subquest of As All Falls to Emptiness, Where Flowers Awaken!

A Divergence Leading to Oneself Walkthrough
Discuss Countermeasures at Caravan Ribat
After leaving Sumeru City, head up the stairs into the upper level of Caravan Ribat to talk with Tighnari, Collei, and Cyno.
Note that after this scene concludes, you can still talk to Shakir and Collei, Baladhuri, Rushd, and Firnas in the same area, Tighnari and Naphis in the middle of the staircase, as well as Wanderer, Kaveh, and Alhaitham to the right side of the stairs.
Check on the Anomalies
Head north outside of Caravan Ribat and follow the dirt road until you find Cyrus. Another short scene will play out.
Investigate Further Out
Go towards the pink fog up ahead until another scene is triggered! Once this is done, you will be automatically teleported back to Caravan Ribat to talk with everyone again.
Inform the Grand Sage of the Plan
Go down the stairs and follow the road on the right side, until you come across Naphis with several guards.
Unlocks Guiding Notes Function
This scene also introduces the Guiding Notes function, which lists important characters and knowledge related to the ongoing quest. This can be accessed either in the Quest Overview tab, or in the upper right corner of the screen during cutscenes.
Take Nahida to Search for Apep
Head back up the staircase to the house at the center of Caravan Ribat, and take Nahida with you to automatically be teleported to where Apep is located.
Return to the Temple of Silence
Once you've completed the scenes with Apep, you will be at the oasis near the Temple of Silence. Approach the group of people near the oasis to continue the quest.
Go to the Ruins of Gurabad
From the entrance, you will be given a chance to change your party composition before proceeding. As there are plenty of enemies inside, we recommend bringing a healer or shielder with you!
When you're ready, head up the stairs and into the ruins!
Break the Seal on the Jinn
Defeat the group of enemies at the main entrance of the ruins, then keep going and follow the path straight towards a set of stairs going down.
Enter Gurabad to Learn About the Situation
At the stairs, you'll be met with more enemies blocking the way. You can choose to defeat them or run past them to go deeper into the temple. You will be met with Oprichniki enemies you have to defeat.
Find a Way to Enter the Inner Room
Past the Fatui Oprichniki, there is a large hall with a floating pyramid in the center. Go to the other side of the hall and activate the mechanism to open the door.
Plumb the Depths of Gurabad's Ruins
The way forward will be blocked, so head into the right-side hallway. Follow this hallway to the next room, where you must defeat a group of Oprichniki and Landcruisers to open the door.
Destroy the Device Affecting the Jinn
In the larger hall, you must attack and destroy the three devices in the room. There will be a device on both sides of the stairs and the third one in the center of the room.
Note that there will also be various Fatui and automaton enemies who will try to stop you.
Defeat the Fatui in Your Way
After a lengthy conversation, you'll have to defeat a group of Oprichniki and Landcruisers to continue the quest.
Pursue the Suspect
Go back to the hallway you came from, near the Teleport Waypoint, to try and pursue the mystery man.
Defeat the Jinn Causing the Disturbance
A scene will play between Tighnari, Collei, and Dori. Afterwards, you must defeat a group of enemies using trial versions of these characters.
Escape Gurabad Together with Jeht
Once you're back in the POV of the Traveler and Paimon, you'll meet with Jeht and Benben at the Gurabad ruins. You'll have to run out of the ruins ahead of the dark wall to escape.
Operate Safhe Shatranj
After escaping Gurabad, you will be teleported to the ruins above Safhe Shatranj. Jump down to the giant chess board and trigger the chess piece on the left side of the board.
Look for and Awaken Liloupar
Head to the small pond in between two sets of stairs to awaken Liloupar and continue the quest!
