Aside from the Opening Characters, you can invite the 4 Special Guests Ineffa, Yae Miko, Thoma, and Chiori for this season.
Take note that these characters are only available if you personally have them, but you can always borrow someone else's Special Guest if you so desire using the Supporting Cast system.

Aside from the Special Guests, the only characters available in this season are Cryo, Hydro, and Anemo characters. Be sure to choose these as your Supporting Cast for other players to use!

Based on the boss lineup for this season, you will want to start with Hydro-core teams before transitioning slowly to Stellar-Swirl teams.
Afterwards, start shifting towards Cryo and Anemo teams when you already reach Act 6, since it requires Stellar Glimmer reactions and Cryo from here on out, and you will only have access to Stellar-Conduct through Ineffa.

The first two acts can be done with the opening characters that is available, but do try to save your best Cryo characters until Act 6 or so.
The Perpetual Mechanical Array is weak to every element in your roster, so pick and choose your best damage dealers to break through it.

Act 4's Monolith Defense can be done with any type of team with slight preference with Anemo-based reactions to group up enemies.
Furiosa serves as the boss for Act 6, and necessitates the use of Stellar-Glimmer teams to disable her rooting mechanic.

Act 7 can be done with any team, depending on the enemy options that you see with slight lean with Cryo teams. Regardless, adjust accordingly to opponents you might encounter.
Act 8's Chimeric Winged Lion also wants Stellar-Glimmer teams to be used against it, or Cryo-centric teams in particular.

Similar to Act 7, it really depends on what enemies you encounter, but most will be weak to either Hydro or Anemo, so lean towards Hydro Swirl teams to go through this.
Act 10 features the Secret Source Automaton: Overseer Device, which wants multiple Cryo units to burn through its Flow Momentum generation.

The first Arcana Challenge for this season features waves of Rockfond Rifthounds that will chew through your team's HP. Bring a healer to counteract this.
The second Arcana Challenge features different Ruin machine opponents that will require you to outlast them. A Bow unit is recommended to bring down any Ruin Drakes in the sky, and shielders are recommended to prevent interruption.

All characters, including the opening characters and guest stars, will still be selected at random.
However, above is a list of example team comps for characters to use for each Act's boss fight.
Some characters are reused, assuming you don't use them elsewhere.
Invest on Anemo and Cryo Blessings for the later stages early on. The opening characters are sufficient should be sufficient enough to clear Acts 1-3 as it's generally very easy.
Save your Cryo characters for 6, as best as you could as Stellar-Glimmer is the main focus team for this theater.
As usual, try not to use your strongest characters yet. Any sort of Hydro Swirl team should be viable, as long as you get the necessary blessings for later.
You can get some blessings for Hydro and Anemo combinations, but don't invest too much since you'll want to put more into late game.
|
|
The Perpetual Mechanical Array is weak to any element in your party, giving you more options on what team to bring or create. Focus on using your best available DPS for this fight to clear it in time.
Upon reaching Act 4, you will have lost a portion of your opening characters and may have one or two uses left for the rest, so start unlocking your more powerful personal units, especially Cryo and Anemo units for later stages.
Act 4 is the Monolith Defense, you can use taunters like Lynette to stop the Fatui units from targeting the Monolith. You will also have access to ample grouping options so you can keep them away.
Act 5 can depend on the matchup but as long as you defeat the required number of enemies, any team comp will do, especially those who are weaker in your team.
|
|
Furiosa's entire moveset is based around her root generation. Focus fire on these everything she brings them up as it will disable whatever move she was planning, and give you a safer means to attack them.
It is also recommended to move around a lot to dodge Furiosa's Arrow Shower if she can get it off.
| |
Around this time, you can proceed to add more blessings or characters for Stellar Glimmer teams for the Act 8's boss.
Similar to Act 5, Act 7 can depend on the matchup but as long as you defeat the required number of enemies, any team comp will do, especially those who are weaker in your team.
|
|
The Chimeric Winged Lion spawns in an enhanced shielded state, represented by the Electro shield. Stellar Glimmer damage can chunk through this shield faster, making it your recommended way to deal with this phase.
Once the shield is off, the Winged Lion will be immobile for a time, then fly around the battlefield upon recovering. However, it will no longer have the Electro shield, allowing you to chip it down with your attacks.
|
|
Note: If you're in Lunar Mode, you must do the Arcana Challenges before Act 10 as otherwise it will end the performance.
The stage will periodically deal damage to your active character. It's highly advisable that you bring a healer to counteract this, preferably ones that can heal the entire team.
Try to focus down each Rifthound one at a time since even one kill can lower the time limit.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Due to the presence of the Ruin machines on this level, you can also try to kill off as many as you can to reduce the time remaining, but make sure you have ample Shielding or Healing to live through their heavy attacks.
A Bow unit is recommended specifically to hit the Ruin machines in their weak spots, specifically towards the Skywatch Ruin Drake.
If you still haven't cleared Arcana Challenge, we recommend doing it now to get more characters and blessings to make Act 9 and 10 much easier.
Similar to previous seasons, Act 9 requires you to kill certain Bounty units that spawn alongside a never-ending wave of enemies until you complete the challenge.
From what we have tested, you can either encounter Wildwood Leshies from Snezhnaya, or Avatars of Lava from Natlan. We recommend the Avatars of Lava if you still have a good amount of Hydro units left, and the Wildwood Leshies otherwise.
|
|
This entire fight is based on whether or not you can counter the Overseer Device's Sweeper Mode by interrupting its Flow Momentum with consistent Cryo application.
Doing so will lower the RES of the Overseer Device and allow you to properly damage and eventually defeat it.
